Ogrian Carpet 0.9
Ogrian Carpet is a 3D fantasy action/strategy game. more>>
Ogrian Carpet project is a 3D fantasy action/strategy game.
Ogrian Carpet is an outdoor first person shooter game with real time strategy elements, inspired by the game Magic Carpet.
It uses Ogre3D as the renderer and allows you to fly around an island casting spells, summoning monsters, collecting mana, and building castles.
The object of the game is to build a castle, collect mana, and destroy your enemies. To build a castle, select a location, look at the ground, and cast the build spell. Note, you cannot build castles very close to water or other castles.
Your castle starts out small, with only one turret. As more mana is added to your castle, it will gain more turrets. Each turret adds another crane to your castles defense and another spell to your arsenal.
Basically, the game consists of fighting for control of mana. Whenever you encounter another wizard, shoot them with fireballs. If you hit them enough, they will "die" and be sent back to their castle. You are then free to claim all the mana in the area for yourself.
Once all the mana has been claimed, attack your enemys castle to get mana out of it so you can claim it for yourself. Once you enemys castle is out of mana, you can eliminate it by killing its heart. When all of your opponents have been banished, youve won.
Enhancements:
- AI bot player for skirmish
- things can now be loaded from an image, rather then randomly
- option for old randomized maps
- trees can now always bee seen
- made castle mana drops aggregate more
- loosened the restrictions on summoning
- made the config menu better
- added victory conditions to skirmish: kill all enemy towers/castles
- made ticks and gnomes stay in the formation you put them in
- made monsters and towers drop less then their cost when they have no wizard
- made mana float higher
- made towers cheaper (50)
- made sentinels drop much less (3)
- changed speed behavior on lava maps
- added victory music
- new music

libmcrypt 2.5.8
libmcrypt is a library to access various encryption algorithms. more>>
libmcrypt is the library which implements all the algorithms and modes found in mcrypt. libmcrypt library is currently under development but it seems to work pretty good.
Unlike most encryption libraries libmcrypt does not have everything (random number generators, hashes, hmac implementation, key exchange, public key encryption etc.).
Libmcrypt only implements an interface to access block and stream encryption algorithms. Its purpose was to assist in the development of mcrypt by providing a uniform interface to access several different encryption algorithms, so that the main program is independent of the encryption algorithms and the modes used.
Libmcrypt supports the algorithms:
BLOWFISH, TWOFISH, DES, TripleDES, 3-WAY, SAFER-sk64, SAFER-sk128, SAFER+, LOKI97, GOST, RC2, RC6, MARS, IDEA, RIJNDAEL-128 (AES), RIJNDAEL-192, RIJNDAEL-256, SERPENT, CAST-128 (known as CAST5), CAST-256, ARCFOUR and WAKE.
Block algorithms can be used in: CBC, ECB, CFB and OFB (8 bit and n bit, where n is the size of the algorithms block length).
Enhancements:
- Stuff from the Fedora Extras crew

The SlotSig library 1.0.0
The SlotSig library is a library that provides type-safe connections between C++ classes. more>>
The SlotSig library is a library that provides type-safe connections between C++ classes.
When programming in C, its usual to use callback functions (moreover when you do GUI stuffs). In C++, we prefer to encapsulate things into classes, and usually we want a rather type-safety.
This small library attempt to provide an easy-to-use, type-safe, C++-friendly solution to the problem. The idea is to define slots, either as global functions or member methods, that will be called when some signals are emitted The signals and slots do not need to really know about each other, only a pointer and a compatible signature is required.
Inconsistent connections (when return type or parameters do not match) should be detected at compile-time.
If youve heard about the Qt, libsigc++, Sigslot or boost libraries, or any other Im not aware of (if this is the case, let me know !), maybe you wonder why yet another signals lib. Here are the main reasons :
- Qts system needs a preprocessor (called moc, for Meta-Object Compiler) that will produce additionnal code to enable the connections and handle the signal emitting ; its quite simple to use, but you cant use templates on signal/slot-enabled classes, and inconsistencies are not detected at compile time but at runtime ;
- I found libsig++ a great thing, but a little bit to complex to use, and I dislike some casts done into it ; I also dislike the fact that a function (or method) connected twice will be called twice when emitting the signal ;
- Boost is fine, but to use the signals module you also need a rather large part of the whole lib ; theres nothing really wrong with that, I just wanted something smaller â and easier to use ;
- It was fun to code, and because I did it, I find SlotSig the simplest signal/slot library available.
Enhancements:
- Incorporated the Makefile from Leopold Palomo-Avellaneda, to generate a global shared library containing the very small amount of static code.
- Updated benchmarks. The 1.x versions of SlotSig will remain binary-compatible. No major new feature is expected, mainly cosmetic changes and bugfixes. The main line of development will be done in a 1.99.x branch, maybe leading someday to a 2.0 version.

- In-game help
- Hidden traps and doors
- Five different player classes
- Varied monsters with special powers
- Gold and shopping
- High-score listing
Enhancements:
Features
- Finished the tower quest, for wizards and necromancers. No spoilers in this changelog, but it involves lots of cool stuff.
- Checkpoint saves. A backup saved game is automatically made whenever you move to a new level, and restored if the game crashes.
Bug fixes
- (PalmOS) Fixed a stack overflow in the bytecode interpretter which caused crashes all over the place.
- (PalmOS) Fixed infinite prompt loop when running into a peaceful creature
- Fixed missing exit from tower area
- Fixed bug which could cause disconnected areas with the big-map generator
- Monsters wont be generated in the wilderness area
- Fixed bug that allowed duplicating items

Unix I-Ching Generator 0.8.1
Unix I-Ching Generator is an I Ching generator for the Unix command line. more>>
Unix I-Ching Generator project is an I Ching generator for the Unix command line.
It accepts questions and generates responses that can be looked up in the I Ching (a Chinese divination book).
It is designed around "spiritual algorithms", that is, algorithms that make some sort of sense spiritually, not just programatically.
This is software that automates the casting of I-Ching hexagrams. It does not provide the interpretations or readings of those hexagrams.
It merely outputs a mandella of two hexagrams and then informs you of the numerical identity of each hexagram.
Enhancements:
- Moved global options to header file. (ARJ)
- Changed unigram::cast() so that it relied on globals. (ARJ)
- Fixed spelling errors. (ARJ)

SunflowerApplet changes the shadow on the windows managed by compiz when the decorator plugin is enabled.
The shadow on the window moves from left to right from 6am to 6pm, and stays static from 6pm to 6am, as if the shadow is being cast by the "sun" moving right to left over your windows. This is just a toy.
SunflowerApplet requires compiz to be the window manager and the compiz decorator plugin to be active.
Enhancements:
- Use Stock Close button on Preferences Window
- Place dot on map for chosen location
- Create SunflowerApplet.server as part of the configure process
