LBreakout 010315
LBreakout is a Breakout-style arcade game using SDL. more>>
LBreakout is a breakout-style arcade game in the manner of Arkanoid. Use your paddle to aim a ball at bricks until all bricks are destroyed.
Lots of power-ups will help you with that task: extra balls, energy balls, extra lifes, weapons, glue, bonus floors, paddle expansion and extra score. Your best results are saved in a highscore chart.
Note that this game is no longer maintained. If you find any bugs dont even bother to mail me. Grab LBreakout2 instead which features the original levelset now. In fact, I just keep this game to explain the 2 in LBreakout2.

Breaky project is a breakout game for X.
Breaky is one of my first experiences in game programming. The goal of writing this program was to get a well working game, which was fun to play. I think ive succeeded in both goals.
Of course the program isnt perfect yet, im still working on a lot of extra game modes, removing bugs and speeding up the overall performance.
Enhancements:
- Marco van Berkum discovered a bug in xbreaky: "By default xbreaky is installed as suid an can be abused to overwrite any file on the system by any user. " Ive removed the suid bit according to Marcos recommendations. Youll find the updated versions on the download page, enjoy ....
- All of the old news items have been removed *outdated*

Rebound 0.9.14
Rebound is a Diamonds clone. more>>
Sometime in the early 90s a game existed on the Macintosh called Diamonds which was something like a cross between a puzzle and action game. The game play required for the player to use the ball on the screen to hit bricks and destroy them.
However, rather than hitting the ball with a paddle like breakout, the player controlled the left and right of the ball with the arrow keys. The ball still bounces up and down on its own, but there is no bottom to fall off of.
To make the game more interesting some of the bricks were different colors so that only when the ball was the same color could the brick be removed. There was also a key and lock brick set where you first had to get the key to remove the lock brick. Other bricks existed with other functions but the basic goal remained, remove the bricks to pass the level.
The resulting game was fun, challenging, and suitable for all ages. Rebound is a reimplementation of the Diamonds game in C++ for Linux.
The game has actually come quite far and I am finally ready to call the 0.8 release beta. An early beta, but it appears to be quite stable and quite playable. Ive even got 4 levels which I think are fun to play and challenging. Anyone can add new levels by editing the data/level.ldf file. A readme exists in the same directory which describes the format of the file.
Score Area - Only thing that is missing is the countdown timer.
Background - Only one background image is currently supported. It would be nice to have one for each level.
Sound - Background music and some collision sounds.
Entry Screen - DONE
Comments in Level Parser - Currently you cant have any comments in the ldf file. I need to update the parser to allow for comments. I think this means more messing with the lexer.
Level Parser Error Messages - Currently the level parser does not tolerate errors in the level data very well at all. At some point I need to dig into boost spirit again to figure out how to add nicer error messages.
Artwork - Pretty much a complete overhaul of the artwork. Can be done external to the game development.
Levels - I need more levels, at least 15 or 20.
Enhancements:
- 14 playable levels, thanks to submitted levels by Tobin Zerba and Quentin Crain!
- New backgrounds have been added which are images from NASA of outerspace. If you feel these are too dark and distract from the game play, please let me know and I can work on modifying them.
- Version 1.0 will have an rpm release for Linux and perhaps a better installer for Windows.

Brownstone is a KDE theme with a pale imitation of nature... Inspired by Green Leaf
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/Green+Leaf?content=54875
The JPEGs I have posted doesnt really do justice..a decent png was >300 kb so couldnt upload it..
My part is basically a config file for domino made by me.. everything else is available in kde-look
I have found that most themes are usually leaning towards blue or a specific shade of a colour..so i have tried to make this as colour neutral theme as possible..
More specifically I have tried to get the effect of grey stone on brown earth with greenery after rainfall.. when the sun has come out.. since thats the most soothing image i can think of..and has lots of soft colours..
The other stuff u see are available in kde-look:
Style:
Domino
(I am using the kubuntu package)
Windec:
Crystal
Wallpaper:
Soft green
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/More+green?content=41884
Colour:
Brown Terra
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/Brown+Terra?content=53421
Iconset:
Ekisho_project
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/Ekisho_Project?content=55588
I have made a small change to the icon set config after installation:
In file associations in control centre
goto inode>folder and change the icon to "folder_grey" in filesystems
because the default icon was too bright for this theme..the new icon is shown in the first screenshot
However for some reason the brighter icon appears in the Quick file menu..if someone can point me to the config where i can change that would appreciate it..
Not too sure about how much i have succeeded in getting the effect i wanted..but i hope you like it..feedback appreciated.

BinaryKlock 0.1

BinaryKlock project is a binary clock kicker applet.
The special thing about this clock is that it displays the time in binary instead of using the decimal system.
Binary is pretty easy to read and many people will nonetheless stare at your desktop, not believing how you can read the time from that.
This is my first KDE application, let me know if you like it ;)
Building:
This is my first KDevelop project as well, and Im not yet extremely familiar with it. It generated the usual autoconf files and you should be able to build it like this:
./configure
make
make install

KooDB 0.1
KooDB is a simple interface to MySQL that provides the features that most people need. more>>
KooDB is a simple interface to MySQL that provides the features that most people need, without the complicated functions found in phpMyAdmin. It allows you to administer your databases and users from a simple, easy to use web based interface. The project is in early development stages at the moment but already lets you add and delete users and databases and has an interface for adding users to those databases. KooDB is written in pure PHP 5 (though it will probably work with PHP4) and designed for MySQL 5. PostgreSQL support is planned and will be implemented once all the MySQL components are working properly.
For now, the interface is very simple with only a few features but furhter along in the development of KooDB, features will be added for you to more closely interact with your databases and modify rows and columns on the fly. The project will allow you to add and remove columns and rows as necessary and modify the contents of cells. KooDB will also contain a fully featured import/export function and a schema editor to provide maximum control over your database projects. The schema editor will provide an intuitive interface for creating .sql files to easily recreate your databases on multiple systems, give you full control over how the rows are configured, and let you add and delete default values.
Enhancements:
- Features include adding and deleting users, adding and deleting databases, and adding users to databases.
