Castle is a server distribution from the ALT Linux Team in Russia. more>>
Castle is a server distribution from the ALT Linux Team in Russia. Installation instructions and some other documentation is available in English.
Brief RSBAC instructions:
1. During installation process you will have to create security officer account. This is a user that can setup RSBAC security configuration.
2. Installer applies to RSBAC kernel two special parameters "rsbac_auth_enable_login" and "rsbac_softmode". Please, dont remove it. You need it for correct installation process.
3. Run RSBAC kernel just after system installation.
4. After reboot RSBAC will function in normal mode. If you need soft mode again, use rsbac_softmode kernel parameter during boot.
5. After finishing system configuration please reboot your server.
6. RSBAC will work in normal mode at all future startups of the system. You can boot RSBAC kernel in "soft" mode again using "rsbac_softmode" kernel parameter.
7. Login as security officer you have created during installation process and run main RSBAC configuration utility "rsbac_admin".
Default security configuration:
* All system directories are in "read only" and "execute only" mode.
* Base system configuration files (e.g /etc/lilo.conf /etc/fstab) are also in read only mode.
* Home directory is available only for users and security officer (but he has no access to users home directories).Security Officers home is situated in the root directory (/secoff) and is open only for the owner. You can also create trusted environment for security officer by putting special files into the home.
* There are some useful scripts in security officers home: to enable/disable useradd, to enable/disable install and an example script for http protection.

Ogrian Carpet 0.9
Ogrian Carpet is a 3D fantasy action/strategy game. more>>
Ogrian Carpet project is a 3D fantasy action/strategy game.
Ogrian Carpet is an outdoor first person shooter game with real time strategy elements, inspired by the game Magic Carpet.
It uses Ogre3D as the renderer and allows you to fly around an island casting spells, summoning monsters, collecting mana, and building castles.
The object of the game is to build a castle, collect mana, and destroy your enemies. To build a castle, select a location, look at the ground, and cast the build spell. Note, you cannot build castles very close to water or other castles.
Your castle starts out small, with only one turret. As more mana is added to your castle, it will gain more turrets. Each turret adds another crane to your castles defense and another spell to your arsenal.
Basically, the game consists of fighting for control of mana. Whenever you encounter another wizard, shoot them with fireballs. If you hit them enough, they will "die" and be sent back to their castle. You are then free to claim all the mana in the area for yourself.
Once all the mana has been claimed, attack your enemys castle to get mana out of it so you can claim it for yourself. Once you enemys castle is out of mana, you can eliminate it by killing its heart. When all of your opponents have been banished, youve won.
Enhancements:
- AI bot player for skirmish
- things can now be loaded from an image, rather then randomly
- option for old randomized maps
- trees can now always bee seen
- made castle mana drops aggregate more
- loosened the restrictions on summoning
- made the config menu better
- added victory conditions to skirmish: kill all enemy towers/castles
- made ticks and gnomes stay in the formation you put them in
- made monsters and towers drop less then their cost when they have no wizard
- made mana float higher
- made towers cheaper (50)
- made sentinels drop much less (3)
- changed speed behavior on lava maps
- added victory music
- new music

nrsTable 0.3.3
nrsTable is a JavaScript script that will allow a developer to create HTML tables from arrays. more>>
nrsTable library is a JavaScript script that will allow a developer to create HTML tables from arrays.
The tables can be automatically sorted simply by clicking on the heading. A lot of customization can be done for the tables, such as colors, pages, captions, and more.
The following are some examples of how nrsTable can be used to make dynamic tables. Now, I have already entered the script declaration, which looks like:
< script type="JavaScript" src="nrs_table.js" >< /script >
In the head of this page. Now we can create different examples. Note that each table must have its own, unique id in order for this to work.
Ill also be using the same dummy data for all the tables, since I dont feel like writting more than one example.
The dummy data will look like this:
< script language="JavaScript" src="nrsTable.js" >
var header = new Array("First Name", "Last Name", "Income", "Date Hired");
var data = new Array( new Array ( "Joseph", "Smith", "$35,000", "2000"),
new Array ( "Aaron", "Zelzet", "$45,000", "1997"),
new Array ( "Michael", "Doe", "$55,000", "1965"),
new Array ( "Cindy", "Perez", "$44,345", "2004"),
new Array ( "Robert", "Williams", "$48,234", "1990"),
new Array ( "William", "Cohen", "$12,234", "2005"),
new Array ( "David", "Gross", "$34,563", "1998"),
new Array ( "Linda", "Mendez", "$46,975", "1988"),
new Array ( "Karen", "Anderson", "$124,345", "1978"),
new Array ( "Veronica", "OReiley", "$89,034", "1968")
);
< /script >
Enhancements:
- A small bug that would skip displaying a row at the beginning of a table was fixed.
- This was only the case in IE.

jjjuste 1.0
jjjuste is a Java/Jack port/rewrite of JustePort. more>>
jjjuste is a Java/Jack port/rewrite of JustePort. It contains Java classes for streaming data to an Apple Airport Express. The project also contains a Jack client that allows the streaming to be integrated within a Jack audio flow.
The functionality of the basic client is more restricted than JustePort (only raw data at maximum volume), but the Jack integration gives more reliable playback on Linux and the structure of the code has been clarified (if you want to port JustePort to another language I suspect its easier to use jjjuste than JustePort, but I may be biased).
In case the above is not clear, jjjuste contains:
- a basic Java based client that can stream audio data to an Airport Express
- simple integration with Jack, which is an audio server for Linux.
This means that (almost) any audio source playing on Linux can be routed to the Airport (and so played on your hifi, remotely).
Usage:
- Get Jack running
- Download JJack from CVS (it is important you use the very latest CVS code - I committed a patch on 2007-07-10).
- Compile and install JJack (unpack, cd make, ant)
- Download Bouncy Castle and Apache Commons Codec jars
- Download the jar
- Start the client with
java -classpath jjjuste-1.0.jar:[other jars]
-Djava.library.path=[path to directory containing libjjack.so]
org.acooke.jjjuste.jack.FiniteJackClient [airport address]

Instead of creating new identity repositories, virtual directory handles identity queries on a case-by-case basis, drawing the required, authorized data (and only the required data) in real time from its native repositories around a network and presenting it to an enterprise application as needed.
Virtual Directory eases deployments of Identity management solution, reduces political fights over data ownership and changes how corporate data is being managed.
Main features:
- Namespace conversion, attribute value modifications, schema adaptations
- Adapters to Active Directory, LDAP and JDBC back-end.
- Join-engine allows attribute transformation via beanShell scripting (JSR 274).
- GUI-based administration and mapping Tool based on eclipse RCP 3.1 platform
- Direct browsing of LDAP and RDBMS-based information to provide easy-to-use mapping.
- Live preview of your virtual directory.
- Remote management via JMX (JSR 160)
- Open-source.
- 100% Java.
- Run stand-alone as a backend for ApacheDS and OpenLDAP.
- Run embedded in your application
- Flexible Access Control
- Conversion and manipulation of Attribute values
- High performance join and cache engine
- Data encryption using Bouncy Castle
- Supports resource connectors for JDBC/SQL, JNDI/LDAP, Active Directory.
- Remote management via JMX.
- Extensible via plug-ins.

Construo project offers a simple wire frame construction toy.
Construo is a simple 2D construction programm (it is currently not a real game) for objects which consist of rods and springs and let them react on physical forces. You can currently construct buildings and objects like bridges, towers, spaceshuttles, etc. and you let them fall to ground and see seem smash and break.
Sound like fun, doesnt it =;-) The game is similar to Bridge Builder and heavily inspired from the Gamasutra article Collision Response: Bouncy, Trouncy, Fun.
Its covered under the GNU General Public License, thats means source code is availabel and you are allowed to modify it.

Excalibur: Morganas Revenge 3.0
Excalibur: Morganas Revenge is a first-person action adventure game using the Aleph One (Marathon) engine. more>>
Excalibur: Morganas Revenge (EMR) is a unique scenario based upon the Aleph One (Marathon) engine. It is a first-person action adventure game, featuring an epic and in-depth story line. As a Federation Marine resting after your last mission, you start aboard the exploration class Starship Kronos where you learn that your real mission has yet to begin. You are re-acquainted with the AI Merlin, who introduces you to Kronos time traveling technology, and reveals your new mission: to save mankind from the clutches of Morgana and her minions. Through untamed raptor-infested jungles, castle arenas, and war-torn streets of the future, you will wield weapons from all time periods - including the Sword of Power, Excalibur - in an effort to thwart the diabolical plot that unfolds. The EMR adventure, spread across 42 solo levels, weaves a tale of truth and honor, knighthood and bravery, and darkness and treachery. EMR also delivers 27 adrenaline pumped network levels. EMR immerses you in an amazing new world, creating an addictive, fun and unique gaming experience.
For those that played EMR under the old Marathon Infinity engine, EMR 3.0 brings exciting new maps, new high resolution textures and landscapes, a completely new set of weapons, new monsters and friends, new scenery, new 16-bit sounds, original music, and a carefully woven original story line that transcends time. Using the Aleph One engine, EMR now sports loads of new special features using Aleph Ones MML and Lua scripting languages. Please note that the AlephOne engine is old technology improved. Architecture is still simulated 3D, so there are no ramps, bridges, and balconies, nor horizontal doors. The sprites in EMR are made up of 2D images posed in different views, not 3D models. Do not expect the latest state-of-the-art graphics engine, but you can expect an intriguing storyline, creative map architectures, engaging graphics, original spellbinding music, and mood-setting sound effects.
