Linux graphical bootsplash allows you to use custom graphics during early system startup. It makes it possible to place a nice graphic behind or above the kernel boot messages.
Linux graphical bootsplash hooks into the fbcon layer and, if activated, searches the initial ramdisk for a JPEG picture to show.
On any output operations to the console, it takes care of painting a margin around your text and a background picture behind the text with a set of special cfb functions.

SlackPen is a Live CD based on Slackware Linux. Our current goal is to offer everything necessary to perform a complete security audit of your network, in a low overhead environment.
The end goal of SlackPen is to provide an easy installer for our other project SlackWall, a Slackware based firewall distribution. It seemed like a good idea to make the installer useful after the install, SlackPen was born.
Unlike some other live cds with common goals, SlackPen is not intended to be user-friendly (though some of the tools are). We assume that the users of SlackPen have some experience with linux, and know their way around.
Check out the Screenshots section to see how SlackPen looks.
SlackPen distribution was built using Slackware and the linux-live scripts written by Tomas Matejicek.
Main features:
- Slackware Linux based live cd
- Lightweight using Fluxbox, and many console based apps for common tasks such as Instant Messaging.
- Runs nicely on new and old hardware.
- Tools you need. SlackPen comes packed with a large collection of security/auditing tools no whitehat should be without.

This is a set of scripts with a zenity based, graphical user interface.
Run "nix-style" to start the script chooser.
Main features:
- configuring behavior of bash and change the bash-prompt
- change the behavior of readline
- change the behavior of vim
- change the behavior of nano
- change/install splashy bootsplash
- change/install usplash bootsplash
- change xorg settings (only the driver at the moment)
- choose default compiler and compiler flags
- tweak hidden gnome preferences
Debian Only:
- you can add some extra repos for multimedia, e17 and desktop-artwork. the keys are grabbed and installed automatically
**Note: only those features will be displayed in the script chooser which are usable (so if you havent vim installed it wont appear in the list)**
KNOWN BUGS:
- if the uptime feature is enabled in $PS1 (Bash-Prompt) and uptime is less than 1 hour it won*t be displayed correctly. if youre a bash-hacker i would be glad if you could take a look at the support/showuptime file in the tarball.

- install it system-wide for every user (a Menu Entry will appear: System- Settings- *nix-style)
su -c "make install"
- or install it as a nautilus script (you need to logout to make it work)

Berry Linux is a bootable CD Linux with automatic hardware detection and support for many graphics cards, sound cards, SCSI and USB devices and other peripherals.
Berry Linux can be used as a Linux demo, educational CD or as a rescue system. It is not necessary to install anything on a hard disk, although this option is also available (it needs 1.2GB of hard disk space). Berry Linux is based on Red Hat Linux and Knoppix.

Trinity Rescue Kit or TRK is a 100% free CD bootable Linux distribution aimed specifically at offline operations for Windows and Linux systems such as rescue, repair, password resets and cloning, with the ability to update itself.
It has custom tools to easily recover data such as deleted files, clone Windows installations over the network, perform antivirus sweeps with 2 different antivirus products, reset windows passwords, read AND write on NTFS partitions, edit
partition layout and much much more.

two computers each running their copy of Trinity Rescue Kit 3.1. One PC copies his Windows installation over the network to another PC running a TRK 3.1 with a secure shell server enabled. F-prot DOES have the ability to disinfect files if necessary.

ntfsundelete now recovers deleted files from an NTFS volume but it gives you the ability to add a recoverability percentage to the commandline. Since it only recovers files and not directories, sometimes you would have double filenames. This has been countered by adding the inode of the file at the beginning of the filename, so recoverability is 100% within the possibilities of ntfsundelete
