Spoon for Java 1.2

Spoon for Java 1.2

Spoon is a Java program processor that fully supports Java 5. more>>
Spoon is a Java program processor that fully supports Java 5. The project provides a complete and fine-grained Java metamodel where any program element (classes, methods, fields, statements, expressions, etc.) can be accessed both for reading and modification.
It can be used for validation purposes, to ensure that your programs respect some programming conventions or guidelines, or for program transformation, by using a pure Java template engine. It provides an Eclipse plugin (SpoonJDT) that allows for tight integration of Spoon within the Eclipse environment.
With SpoonJDT, a set of validations and transformations packaged as a Spoonlet can occur on the fly, and the reports are well-integrated into the Eclipse JDT.
Enhancements:
- This version includes a lot of bugfixes and new features.
- In particular, Spoon now adjusts the line numbers of the generated bytecode so that they match the original source code.
- So, debugging spooned programs is finally as simple as debugging regular programs.

OpenGL for Java 2.8.0.8

OpenGL for Java 2.8.0.8

OpenGL for Java, formerly known as GL4Java, supports Java with a native OpenGL mapping. more>>
OpenGL for Java, formerly known as GL4Java, supports Java with a native OpenGL mapping.
The OS native OpenGL functionality is avaiable from Java for many OS: Linux/GNU+XFree86, Unix/X11, MacOS, Win32.
Enhancements:
- removed the hack (which I put in sometime ago to get VooDoo3 working) that forced gl4java to choose a double buffered pixel format (the demos that used single buffer did not work) (thanks JYB)
- fixed the tessdemo and tesswind applets (thanks JYB).

Ogg for Java 0.1.0

Ogg for Java 0.1.0

Ogg for Java is an Ogg implementation in pure Java. more>>
The Ogg for Java library is a (from scratch) Java implementation of the Ogg protocol, compatible with Java 1.1 or higher.

The Ogg protocol itself is a media stream container, which can hold any type of media (for example a video stream format, audio stream format). It is also capable of multiplexing these streams (it can hold both an audio and video stream at the same time, making it possible to play back audio and video simultaniously), and also to chain (concatenate) streams. A main advantage is, that it is freely available (as a protocol), and to this date it is also patent-free.

NetMinds implementation follows the idea of free software, and is licensed under the LGPL, which basically means, You can use the software, incorporate it in commercial software unmodified. Or you can modify it and use parts of it as long as You release it back to the world under the same license.

Please note, that the Ogg protocol itself is NOT an audio or video codec, so it cannot compress video or audio data, it is only a container. If you are searching for the latter, you might want to visit Xiph.org which hosts/sponsors/advertises many open mulimedia related projects, such as Theora (an open video codec), or Vorbis (an open audio codec).

The aim of this project is to produce an easy-to-use interface to the Ogg protocol in the Java language, hiding as much internal mechanisms as possible, preserving all features on the interface. This may or may not be the philosophy you are searching for. If not, you may want to check out JOrbis which is also an implementation of the Ogg protocol (and more).

BNF for Java 2007-01-24

BNF for Java 2007-01-24

BNF for Java is a parser/generator, or compiler-compiler. more>>
BNF for Java project is a parser/generator, or compiler-compiler. The parser reads your input text, or "terminals", specified by your BNF syntax.

The parser features indefinate look-ahead and back-track. As the grammar parses your file, it builds a parse-tree which carries the content in the structure of your grammar. Then the parse-tree is traversed, driving the output generators the you wrote in Java.

The compiler uses several files to control the project, so BNF for Java provides a Swing GUI to help you manage the BNF, Java, and XML files.

Sparklines for Java 1.2

Sparklines for Java 1.2

Sparklines are intense, simple, wordlike graphics. more>>
Sparklines are intense, simple, wordlike graphics.
Theres a PHP library for producing sparklines, and even a sparkline web service, but I wanted something I could use to generate sparklines in both Java and JSTL (and I thought it would be a fun project). (Its also worth checking out Whys minimalist python sparklines, which encode the image data directly in the HTML as a data: URI [this library allows you to encode the images as using either data: format or javascript: format (supported by IE) in JSTL])
JSTL examples
< %@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" prefix="c" % >
< %@ taglib prefix="spark" uri="http://www.representqueens.com/taglibs/spark" % >
< c:set var="test" value="5, 35, 22, 19, 16, 10, 4, 33, 9, 12, 27, 36, 22" / >
< img src="< spark:bar name="test" color="red" / >" / >
will produce:
(I think the default size might be a little large).
The "name" attribute specifies the key to find the data (Uses JspContext.findAttribute). It expects the value to be either a List , a Number[], or a String of comma separated int values. Its the only manditory attribute.
The other attributes are width, height, spacing, color, highColor, lastColor, output. You can replace "bar" with "line" to get a linegraph (note: highColor and lastColor are currently not supported for line graphs).
The color attributes can either be a color name (a field name from java.awt.Color), or a HTML hex color (e.g. #ff0000 for red).
Enhancements:
- This release properly URL encodes parameters for server generated sparklines.
- This fixes an issue when using hex specified image colors.
- The tag parameter "background" has been added as a workaround for IE6 PNG transparency.

MikMod for Java 24.04.98

MikMod for Java 24.04.98

MikMod for Java is a Java port of the MOD player MikMod. more>>
MikMod for Java is a Java port of the MOD player MikMod. It supports MOD, S3M, XM, MTM, and many other MOD formats.

The make file "source/Makefile" is intended for GNU make, so if its present you can just type make to build everything. The default java compiler name is javac, and if it isnt youll need to modify the makefile a bit.

Building the audio-driver is not trivial on a machine which isnt Linux. The makefile and and source files under the sub-directory source/dll can generate it on a Linux, but they need to be modified, and possibly re-generated by "javah" so theyll compile on another
platform. You can use the drivers in the MikMod for UNIX package to develop the native driver for your platform.

Both programs should be run from a command shell (they are Java applications that make use of the command line arguments). To invoke Java MikMod type:

java MikModApp [standard mikmod arguments]
and for Java mikcvt:
java MikCvtApp [file path]

Everything should work much like the C programs except that:

1. Output is not fully compatible.

2. Input is not available. (press Ctrl-C to abort the program).

3. It could be much slower.

JSON-RPC-Java 1.0

JSON-RPC-Java 1.0

JSON-RPC-Java provides an RPC implementation that allows JavaScript DHTML Web applications to call remote methods. more>>
JSON-RPC-Java provides an RPC implementation that allows JavaScript DHTML Web applications to call remote methods in a Java Application Server (AJAX functionality) without the need for page reloading.
JSON-RPC-Java library is an enabler for the next generation of fast and highly dynamic enterprise Java Web applications. Minimal changes (if any) are necessary to existing server-side Java code to allow calling from JavaScript (such as the marshalling and unmarshalling of special types), as JSON-RPC-Java dynamically maps JavaScript objects to and from Java objects using Java reflection.
Enhancements:
- The license has changed from the LGPL to the Apache License, Version 2.0.
- New object registration, lookup, and unregister APIs have been added to JSONRPCBridge.
