Mobi is software which is designed to provide access to a Un*x machine using a Bluetooth-enabled SonyEricsson phone.
A simple menu file is used to define a menu structure. Menu items can be tied to arbitrary shell commands or external programs, maximizing flexibility. Menus can also be loaded from programs rather than from files, meaning that dynamically changing menus are easy to realize, e.g. to browse a filesystem, an MP3 collection or a mail folder.
Mobi connects to any phone within its reach which passes the Bluetooth authorization process (usually by providing the correct PIN number). If the phone gets out of reach, Mobi will reconnect once it is found again. The number of simultaneously connected phones is restricted only by hardware capabilities.
Mobi uses the accessory menu of the phone. This feature is present in most SonyEricsson phones. It is tested on a T610, but should work on T68, T68i, T610, T630, Z600, and perhaps other models.
The accessory interface has been completely redesigned for newer phones (K750, W550, W600, W800, Z520), but I am not able to implement this since I do not have access to one of those. For the P800/P900, there are different solutions.
Enhancements:
- No phone reset on connect, since it may end a call in progress.
- Improved installation scripts (using autoconf/automake).
- Menu files may now recursively include other files.
- Improved music playback scripts. Makes it much easier to support other players.
- Reloading the menu file will not do a full reset, but only replace the menu.

GNOME Bluetooth control remoto (AKA GBTcr) It is meant to be a fast and functional remote control for GNOME Desktop working between a Sony Ericssons phone mobile (maybe others) and computer box using Bluetooth comunication protocol.

Spectromatic is a program for generating spectrograms from audio files. Spectrograms are a form of simple time-frequency analysis which lets you see how the distribution of energy at different frequencies in an audio stream change over time. For example, if you play a scale on a musical instrument, you will see a climbing and/or descending pattern of blobs as you move from left to right.

Spectromatic reads its input as mono or stereo 16-bit wave files, and writes the output image to an elongated PNG image (colour for stereo, grayscale for mono audio).

Its very easy. First make sure you have the GNU scientific library (GSL) version 1.0 installed (http://www.gnu.org/software/gsl/), and the PNG library version 2 or later (version 3 is untested, but should work - version 1.x may also work) plus the development versions of these libraries (i.e. the header files etc. - Debian calls these packages libgsl0-dev and
libpng2-dev). If you wish to change the default installation directory, edit the Makefile. Then type "make" followed by "make install". Easy!

To using it may be a bit harder. Refer to the man page for detailed instructions, but basically:

1. get a 16-bit mono or stereo wave file
2. spectromatic file.wav
3. this generates file.png which is the spectrogram. There are lots of options to change the way it generates the image (I recommend spectromatic --inverse --logarithmic --combine LXR file.wav).

Xmp is a free module player for UNIX distributed under the terms of the GNU GPL. The project runs on Linux 2.0 and 2.2 (using ALSA and OSS), S/Linux, Solaris 2.5 and HP-UX 9, and has been also reported to work in OpenBSD, FreeBSD, Linux/Alpha and Digital UNIX (an experimental driver for IRIX is included but it has not been tested for 16 bit output).
On PC class machines with GUS or AWE cards xmp takes advantage of the OSS sequencer to play modules with virtually no system load. Using software mixing, xmp plays at sampling rates up to 48 kHz in mono or stereo, 8 or 16 bits, signed or unsigned, little or big endian samples with 32 bit linear interpolation. Experimental support for the Enlightened Sound Daemon is included.

XELand project generates night landscapes as stereo pairs for cross-eye viewing. Currently it uses two map generation methods (plus some variations). Generated height maps are seamless and can be saved as PNG images.
The program requires only JDK 1.5 or above, and is very easy to use. To take full advantage of XEland you should learn cross-eye viewing.
