Versatile Encoder 0.8p2

Versatile Encoder 0.8p2

Versatile Encoder allows you to encode your own videos into good quality mpeg4 or h264. more>>
Versatile Encoder allows you to encode your own videos into good quality mpeg4 or h264. The input can be a sequence of files (as generated by blender), a file (if you want to recompress something) or a DVD/VCD (if you need to backup some movie).

This piece of software tries to guess good defaults and to help the user in his choices. It works at least under Windows and Linux, the coding platform is Linux.

It should work without a hassle under all BSD variants and probably under MacOSX too, report me if you get it working somewhere else.

A 3D software Offer Sculpt,Scatter,Gamma tools for Linux x86-64/Python 2.4 more>> By For Linux x86-64 Python 2.5,new modifers were added, a couple of composite nodes were added, and a revamp of the old mesh primitives was done.
Features?
FFMPEG is now included in the Windows builds
Sculpt and MultiRes bug fixes and improvements
Subsurface Scattering is a new material option
There have been a large number of python script additions and updates, as well as API improvements
Two new Composite nodes have been added: Gamma and Bright/Contrast
Two new Modifiers: Smooth and Cast
The Action and NLA editors have now better control over visible channels. A new constraint was added, and a "preview range" option was added.
Blender now is 64-bits safe again. That safety is on two different levels.
The Bullet physics engine has had some changes which should give better reproducibility and precision/quality for physics simulations.
The mesh primitives have been revisited, improving their usability and pushing them a little beyond their previous state. This includes the addition of a new Torus primitive!

GNU Parted 1.8.8

GNU Parted 1.8.8

GNU Parted is a partition editor, for creating, destroying, resizing and copying partitions. more>>
GNU Parted is a program for creating, resizing, destroying, checking and copying partitions, and the file systems on them. This is useful for creating space for new operating systems, reorganising disk usage, copying data between hard disks and disk imaging.
Supported disk labels: raw access (useful for RAID and LVM), MS-DOS partition tables, Intel GPT partition tables, MIPS partition tables, PC98 partition tables, Sun and BSD disk labels and Macintosh partition maps.
Notes:
- For ext2, ext3 and reiserfs: the start of the partition must stay fixed.
- For ext2, ext3: the partition you copy to must be bigger or exactly the same size as the partition you copy from.
- For ext2 and ext3: the checking is limited to ensuring the resize and copy commands will be ok.
- For fat: the size of the new partition after resizing or copying is restricted by the cluster size. Parted can shrink the cluster size, so you can always shrink your partition. However, if you cant use FAT32 for some reason, you may not be able to grow your partition.
- Parted supports both FAT16 and FAT32. Parted can convert file systems between FAT16 and FAT32, if necessary.
- Reiserfs support is enabled if you install libreiserfs.

bnrt 0.1

bnrt 0.1

bnrt is 2 programs, a client and a server, that are used to help distribute rendering of Blender animations. more>>
bnrt is 2 programs, a client and a server, that help render frames of animations over a network using multiple computers that all have Blender, a popular opensource 3D modeler/renderer, on them.

bnrt can run on Linux, Windows, and any other environment supported by both Java and Blender. Currently it is only set up to run on Linux and Windows, since those are the OSs I have running and active at the moment. But it is pretty trivial for me to add more OSs as long as they are supported by both Java and Blender.

To use bnrt you need to run the server on each system that you want to render frames on. This is done by either running the server shellscript or batch file. Or you can even just type in java -jar bnrtServer.jar at the command line.

After you have started a server on each system, then you need to run the client, which does not do any rendering. You can run a server and a client on the same machine. To run the client you need to run the following command from a command line:

java -jar bnrtClient.jar {file to render.blend} {first frame} {last frame} {server1} {server2} {server3....}

Please note that at the moment this is still pretty alpha code. I use it on my own network with up to 5 machines, mixed Windows and Linux as well as various processors, and it works quite well for me. YMMV, but if you run into a problem I will be happy to try to help you out as much as possible.

List::Part 0.03

List::Part 0.03

List::Part is a Perl module that allows you to partition one array into several. more>>
List::Part is a Perl module that allows you to partition one array into several.

SYNOPSIS

use List::Part;
($good, $bad)=part { !/substring/ } @array; #store arrayrefs into $good and $bad
(*good, *bad)=part { !/substring/ } @array; #store into @good and @bad

ABSTRACT

List::Part implements the part function, allowing one array to be "partitioned" into several based on the results of a code reference.

There are many applications in which the items of a list need to be categorized. For example, lets say you want to categorize lines in a log file:

my($success, $failure)=part { /^ERR/ } ;

Or, suppose you have a list of employees, and you need to determine their fate:

my($lay_off, $give_raise, $keep)=part {
$_->is_talented ? 0
: $_->is_executive ? 1
: 2
} @employees;

Actually, the second one is better suited to parts alternate form, parta:

my($lay_off, $give_raise, $keep)=parta
[ sub { $_->talented }, sub { $_->is_executive }, qr// ] =>
@employees;

Or maybe you just want yet another way to write the traditional Perl signoff:

perl -MList::Part -e"print map{@$_}part{$i++%5}split,JAercunrlkso ettPHr hea,"

List::Part can help you do those sorts of things.

FaceBuilder is a little toy application that lets you construct faces by putting together eyes, nose, mouth, head, hair and some additional items.

You can also move, scale and rotate each of those face-parts as you like. The results can be saved to XML files. FaceBuilder currently provides ~50 faceparts in total.

Usage:

You need Ruby and the Ruby bindings for Gtk and GnomeCanvas. Once you
have those just run:

ruby ./facebuilder.rb

Controls:

PgUp, PgDown: scale facepart
Home, End: rotate facepart
Cursorkeys: move facepart

The face parts itself can be selected via the GUI.

Customizations

If you want to customize this programm just add new face parts to data/$FACEPART/, the programm should be able to find them automatically then.
