Free biological clock software for linux

orbitclock displays a small circular representation of a clock in a pseudo-Star-Trek style.

Nifty little Star-Trek-ish clock display. Resizable, but some of the parameters in the code may need to be tweaked to make it look good at other sizes.

Feel free to play with the parameters at the top of draw() and the colors. Let me know if you get something niftier.

Usage:

orbitclock [options]
-geometry WxH[+X+Y] set window geometry
-bg < color name > background color
-fg < color name > foreground 1 color (tick)
-fg2 < color name > foreground 2 color (block)
-rings < hms|smh|etc. > ordering of rings from inside out (default hms)
-font < font > font to use for date (implies -date)
-date[=optional format] draw date in center, strftime format string literal n causes line break example: -date="%m/%d/%Yn%H:%M:%S" equals sign is REQUIRED, dont ask me why.

BinaryKlock project is a binary clock kicker applet.

The special thing about this clock is that it displays the time in binary instead of using the decimal system.

Binary is pretty easy to read and many people will nonetheless stare at your desktop, not believing how you can read the time from that.

This is my first KDE application, let me know if you like it ;)

Building:

This is my first KDevelop project as well, and Im not yet extremely familiar with it. It generated the usual autoconf files and you should be able to build it like this:

Biomolecule Toolkit project is an Open Source library for the structural modeling of biological macromolecules. The toolkit provides a C++ interface for common tasks in computational structural biology, to facilitate the development of molecular modeling, design, and analysis tools.

Bug fixes
- Fixed copy construction bug in PDBAtomDecorator that caused compilation errors in rare situations.

- Fixed a crash-producing bug in stream output for the TypeID class.

tbclock is a dirty little app that displays a full screen binary clock in your terminal (using curses). It doesnt support resizing (yet).
It is quite simple and features modules like guessbin a little game and chrono a timer with tenth of seconds. It was a fun way to learn curses.

Enhancements:
- Resizing is now working. You can change the display mode on the fly with the "a" key in "clock" and "chrono".
- Colors can be selected from the command line with the -H and -M options.
- Decimal help is now triggered with -e instead of -H.
- The new -p option allows you to display time in AM/PM style instead of 24h.
- A new build system is used, so gmake is not needed.
- Signedness in mod_clock was fixed for Linux/PPC.
- A display bug in small terms was fixed.

BDesktopClock is an attractive graphical clock for the Linux desktop. The project features customizable settings for the date and time display format, as well an option to always be on top.

Installation

To install type:
qmake
make
su
make install

The default home directory is /usr/local/bin, if you wish to change this modify
the target.path variable in BDesktopClock.pro before running qmake.

* This requires that you have the development tools (qmake, uic, moc) and
headers files for Qt.

xonclock is X on-screen analog clock displayer with assignable skins. The program was tested to work with WindowMaker and FluxBox, if you are planning to use xonclock with KDE, GNOME and others you should read manual pages of its window managers.

For example using xonclock with KDE 3.2.1 youll need to set window placement as "Zero-Cornered" (KDE Control Center -> Window Behaviour -> Placement -> Zero-Cornered) otherwise xonclock "--placement" option will take no effect. Using xonclock with KDE, GNOME or XFce the "--no-winredirect" xonclock option is required.

The internal clock skin is taken from ClockX program with its author permission. Additional skins may be found at http://clocx.fi.cz. Im not the Linux programming guru so if youve found a bug dont swear at me but better fix it and give me a patch.
