BlogMax
BlogMax is an Emacs package that aids in the creation of a weblog. more>>
BlogMax project is an Emacs package that aids in the creation of a weblog.
You define templates and an FTP site for uploads. Most of your sites content is defined by text files. Saving a text file automatically wraps the template around it, expands macros and shortcuts, and saves the HTML file.
Other commands in "weblog" mode upload files via FTP, create an RSS file, yank links or blockquotes into the buffer, create shortcuts, etc. The BlogMax Web site was, of course, created with BlogMax.

gail 1.19.6
GAIL provides accessibility support for gtk+ and libgnomecanvas by implementing AtkObjects for widgets in gtk and libgnomecanvas more>>
GAIL provides accessibility support for gtk+ and libgnomecanvas by implementing AtkObjects for widgets in gtk+ and libgnomecanvas. GAIL library is a GTK+ module.
For example, if the module is loaded in a program which calls gtk_widget_get_accessible() for a GtkEntry an instance of GailEntry is returned. This module is normally used with the atk-bridge GTK+ module from at-spi to allow an assistive technology, e.g a screenreader, to query or drive the program.
Dependencies:
In order to get CVS gail installed on your system, you need to have the most recent CVS versions of gtk+ and libgnomecanvas installed as well. Note that gtk+ requires glib/pango/atk and libgnomecanvas also requires libart, pangoft2 and gnome-common.
Building:
To compile a CVS version of gail on your system, you will need to take several steps to setup the tree for compilation. You can do all these steps at once by running:
cvsroot/gail# ./autogen.sh
Basically this does the following for you:
cvsroot/gail# aclocal; automake; autoconf
The above commands create the "configure" script. Now you can run the configure script in cvsroot/gail to create all the Makefiles.
Before running autogen.sh or configure, make sure you have libtool in your path.
Note that autogen.sh runs configure for you. If you wish to pass options like --prefix=/usr to configure you can give those options to autogen.sh and they will be passed on to configure.
Enhancements:
- Bugfixes: #460820, #363450.
- Implement ATK_STATE_DEFAULT in gailwidget.
- This version of GAIL should be used with Libgnomecanvas released with GNOME 2.19.6.

SellaNMS 2.0.0
SellaNMS was created to provide an extendable high performance Network Management System with network discovery. more>>
SellaNMS was created to provide an extendable high performance Network Management System with network discovery, monitoring and detailed reporting capabilities that keep up to date with a living network.
As new devices and interfaces are added or removed from your network, the changes are automatically detected and handled.
Main features:
- SellaNMS is coded to handle the unexpected without crashing. Any issue that could cause a crash or deadlock is tracked down and corrected. Distributed installs can allow SellaNMS to continue working even when server fails.
- The core scheduler and policy frameworks offers wide customization of SellaNMSs functionality. New modules can be created to support new protocols and/or devices. Modules can be added or removed on the fly.
- Memory usage is kept to a minimum by utilizing low memory algorithims, dynamically loading and unloading modules as they are needed. Data is written to the database as modules are still working, reducing allocated memory.
- All aspects of discovery, and monitoring are designed to complete their tasks as efficiently as possible. Core libraries and modules are threaded to run in parallel avoiding blocking calls.
- While a single server install can easily handle a network of thousands of interfaces and hundreds of routers, SellaNMS can be distributed across multiple servers adding additional coverage for a network of any size.
Enhancements:
- Architecture change and major enhancements.
- Converted modules from threads to individual daemons, simplifying the design and providing enhanced reliability and performance. (Jim/Bill)
- Created watchdog daemon responsible for managing daemons and monitoring their health. (Jim)
- Created state daemon to process state changes, allowing alarms to be persistent though a restart of any daemon. (Bill)
- Created libstate. Allows modules to request the current state of elements, interfaces, and addresses as determined by the state module. (Bill)
- Converted thread calls over to POSIX pthread functions. (Jim/Bill)
- Converted modules internal thread interaction from a polling scheme to an interrupt based scheme. (Bill)
- Rewrote trace-options support for improved functionality. (Bill/Jim)
- Redesigned output modules/daemons to individually handle input, resulting in less RAM usage and better performance. (Jim)
- Created a program to automatically generate a VIM syntax file, making it much easier to maintain. (Bill)
- Introduced an adaptive back-off algorithm into the ICMP monitoring daemon, which handles queue congestion gracefully. (Jim)
- Implemented conditional map-statements, which reduces interactions with the database, improving performance and scalability. (Jim)
- Rewrote map-statements and policy-statements to preform few interactions with the database, improving performance and scalability. (Jim)
- Created tidyd to provide time based clean up within the database. (Jim)
- Created output syslogd daemon to replace the flatfile logging module in v1.0.0. (Jim)
- Rewrote sella_nms.conf to include only basic configuration options and introduced sella_nms-complete.conf which includes all configuration options. (Bill/Jim)
- Implemented include directory support within the configuration library and separated out vendor specific policies into separate files. (Bill).
- Created admin-sella_nms.sh script to provide database administration and the ability to monitor incoming alarms on the command line. (Jim)
- Improved control of state change clearing of alarms in guid. (Jim)
- Enhanced BGP alarms to provide ASN, organization name and contact information. Data can be updated via the asn_data table. (Jim)
- Created a syslog output daemon used to keep a log of alarms. (Jim)
- Improved email daemon to support multiple SMTP servers and fixed minor bugs in the supporting SMTP class. (Jim)
- Created class for tracking the rate of input. This allows the NMS to handle devices that flood useless information. (Jim)
- Wrote an Administrators Manual. (Jim)

Evochallenge 0.6
Evochallenge is a simple Perl-based challenge/response mail filter for Evolution on Linux. more>>
Evochallenge is a simple Perl-based challenge/response mail filter for Evolution on Linux.
How it Works:
Challenge/response e-mail filters only pass e-mail through if the sender is on a "whitelist". E-mail from anyone not on the whitelist goes to a holding area. The sender is then challenged to prove hes a real person, rather than a spam bot.
If the sender succeeds in answering the challenge, he is permanently added to the whitelist, and his original and all further e-mail is delivered without delay.
Evochallenge is a simple free challenge-response program that integrates into your Evolution e-mail client through e-mail filters.
Installation:
Download the needed files using the download link below. Untar and unzip the evochallenge.tar.gz file, and follow the instructions in the README file.
Enhancements:
- This version has been tested on Fedora Core and Ubuntu, and features a simplified installation script.

If the sender succeeds in answering the challenge, he is permanently added to the whitelist, and his original and all further e-mail is delivered without delay.
Evochallenge is a simple free challenge-response program that integrates into your Evolution e-mail client through e-mail filters.

Bug Squish 0.0.6
Bug Squish is a game in which you have to squish bugs before they suck all the blood out of your arm. more>>
Bug Squish is a game in which you have to squish bugs before they suck all the blood out of your arm.
In Bug Squish, you must defend your arm from an onslaught of blood-sucking insects. Use your fly-swatter to squish them before they suck you dry.
Bug Squish is based on the shareware game "Blood Suckers" for MacOS.
Main features:
Game Play:
- 32 waves of attacking insects
- "Extra Blood" and "Bonus Score Multiplier" extras
- Multiple bug types
Sound:
- Humorous, high quality sound effects
- Fun music
Control:
- Mouse control
Enhancements:
- Fixed "Ugh" and "Ouch" sounds for embedded version.
- Added Start and Continue buttons to embedded title screen.
- Game pauses when you press Escape (Cancel) in embedded version.
- Game state saved when you quit, loaded when you start again, so you can unpause even if youve quit the game completely!
- Splatted bugs eventually vanish in embedded version.
- Embedded version uses hidden file (~/.bugsquish) for high score, instead of a visible one (~/bugsquish.dat)
- Embedded version uses mouse motion, not mouse button press. (Too easy to not lift stylus high enough.)
