Skeleton is a small Swing demo application that can help you get started with Swing.
Skeleton project incorporates user interface and architectural patterns that scale well up to medium sized applications.

Skeleton includes custom components that have been extracted from the Swing Suite.

Users Guide:

The application is about editing propeller shaft data. It has been extracted from a real-world application that helps ship inspectors check and verify whether a propeller shaft complies with a set of building rules for ship and machinery.

You can either create a new project, or load an existing. In both cases, this demo will create a sample project. You can browse the project components in the navigator, in the left. If you select a node in the navigator, an appropriate viewer shows up on the right side.

SUM - Start-up Manager software is a gui tool for changing settings in the bootloader and splash screen in Ubuntu.
Main features:
Change:
- Grub timeout, default boot title, number of kernels in bootloader menu, enable/disable boot option for memtest86, enable/disable boot option for "rescue mode", if the default boot option should be automatically updated, bootup resolution and color depth, grub menu colors and background, and usplash theme.

Change visibility of:
- Grub menu, colors, background image, usplash and usplash text.
Password protection:
- Password protect grub menu from editing
- Password protect "alternate" boot options

Started from Polyester-Blue color profile, transformed it to a murrina-domino config and then customized to add brightness to buttons, scrollbars and checkboxes.

pyConnect4 is a clone of Connect 4 game for 2 players.

This is my second project in python. The game has more features and lesser code lines as pyXXO.

How is pyConnect4 started?

Download the tar.gz file and extract it:

tar xfz pyConnect4.tar.gz

Then change into the new dir:

cd pyConnect4

and start pyConnect4:

python pyConnect4.py

Alternity is a multi-protocol instant messenger program for Linux. Currently Alternity only supports AIM, but has been designed to add others in the future. The project was started with two specific goals, functionality and usability.

I found in my wanderings of Linux and open source software, that many have great features, yet are not user friendly. Those that are user friendly have no features and are often poorly written. This project was started to bridge that gap, specifically with instant messenger programs.
