Transcend can best be described as retro-style, abstract, 2D shooter. The graphics are geometrical, and the pace is sometimes frenzied.

Two features set Transcend apart from other games. First, its dynamic graphical engine, which can smoothly morph from one complex shape to another, produces striking displays.

Combining these dynamic shapes with subtle randomizations makes each play through a Transcend level visually different from the last. The second novel feature is Transcends musical power-up system.

As you play through a level, you are simultaneously assembling an abstract visual collage and arranging a unique piece of music. Transcend merges video games with pure art---it can be viewed either as a game or as a multimedia sculpture.

Though I first read it after developing Transcend, the Scratchware Manifesto captures the spirit that motivated me to develop a game.

Nexuiz is a fast-paced, chaotic, and intense multiplayer first-person shooter game, focused on providing basic, old style deathmatch.

Nexuiz is extremely modder-friendly. Nexuiz is built on the power of the Darkplaces engine, which is a heavily modified version of the original Quake.

Darkplaces features realtime lighting and stencil shadows, bumpmapping, gloss, bloom, and totally rewritten network code that supports up to 64 players on a single server.

Stargun project is a 2D space shooter game.
Stargun is a space shooter, vertical scroller game. Its platform independent (or at least it is the objetive). The target OS are Windows and Linux. There are plans to port Stargun to BeOs, FreeBSD and Amiga.
Stargun is written in C++ and uses SDL library.
This project is under GPL lisence.

AstroMenace project is a modern 3D scrolling space shooter with ship upgrade possibilities. You can improve your ship configuration by installing new weapons, defensive systems, power stations and much more.

To improve your ship, you must earn money by destroying throngs of enemies on every level. A friendly interface, easy controls, and fancy 3D graphics will bring you straight into the heart of galactic war. Enjoy!

Timewave is a space shooter in which the player can alter the flow of time.

Its a top-down space shooter with a twist: your ship has a limited ability to control time. Holding one button causes the game to run at double speed and builds up a meter on-screen. Another button expends the bar but causes the game to play at half speed, affording the player some extra maneuvering room in times of need.

The game will features fix levels of increasing difficulty, followed by a battle against a final boss. It saves high scores and feature a full soundtrack and an array of explosion and gunshot noises.

Svinepalsen project is a top-scrolling space shooter built with SDL.

In Svinepalsen, the year is 2223 and the population of space has begun.

You are tentacled creature from Nurobi Gernash on a mission to reach the home planet of a race called "humans".

You are to deliver one message to all nations of Earth: "There must be security for all or no one is secure".

The mission fails and you are forced to make an example of the human insolence.

With your vastly superior ship you must destroy all resistance. You must kill them all or there will be retaliation.

Graviton project is a old-fashioned two player space shooter.
Graviton is a game in the style of the old space shooters of the Amiga, such as Bratwurst or Gravity Force 2.
It has been updated with 3D graphics.
Version restrictions:
- This is a VERY early version of this game. There is no network play, no fancy graphics, only one type of ship, one type of gun, etc. And respawning isnt implemented yet, but I consider that to be one of the least of the problems. Rest assured, it will be implemented very soon. First, however, I need some kind of font support to allow the number of lives to be drawn - and therefore texture loading support.
