xmlenc provides a light-weight XML output library for Java.

It fills the gap between a light-weight parser like SAX, and a heavy-weight XML output library, like JDOM.

OvBB project is a light-weight and fast message board system that mimics vBulletin 2.x.x in both look and behavior, while incorporating new features and functionality.

bitmask project is a light-weight and fast 2D collision detection library.
The bitmask library provides pixel-perfect collision detection for use in games and other applications. Functions are provided for building bitmasks and testing them for intersection.
The routines can optionally provide a point of intersection and the number of overlapping pixels. The library aims for high performance and portability; it is written in ANSI C and is completely independent of the underlying graphics implementation.

Arena Scripting Language is a light-weight scripting language. The language uses a syntax and library similar to that of ANSI C, but adds automatic memory management and runtime polymorphism on top of that.

HA-JDBC project is a JDBC driver implementation that provides light-weight, transparent clustering capabilities to groups of homogeneous JDBC- accessed databases.
Main features:
- Supports any database accessible via JDBC.
- High-availability - Database cluster can lose a node without failing the current transaction.
- Improves performance of concurrent read-access by distributing load across individual nodes.
- Support for full JDBC 3.0 (Java 1.4) feature set.
- Compatible with JDBC RowSet implementations found in Java 1.5.
- Out-of-the-box database-independent strategies for synchronizing a failed cluster node.

MCastDiscovery is a Java library used to advertise and discover services on a network.

Its an alternative to ZeroConf/Rendezvous/Bonjour/mDNS/DNS-SD, and it does not require a running daemon.

MCastDiscovery makes it easy to discover services in a light-weight no-install application, such as one running in Java WebStart. It is not compatible with software like ZeroConf.

MyJgui is a light-weight graphical user interface for MySQL databases. It aims to be easy to use for new users as well as experts.
Motivation:
After the MySQL Front project went commercial, there was no light weight, feature rich and free mysql gui application that I considered worth running.
So I got stuck to the mysql binary and console front end. After awhile I realised that there is too much typing involved, and that many of the tasks could be automated and quickened only if a free mysql front application could be run.
I like the phpMyAdmin project, but first - its not always available, and because of the need to install it on every server, I dont consider it lightweight.
Java was chosen as the programming language because of its portability.
As a programmer I try to enhance the gui with the application development in mind, so many features added in the furure will be driven towards application development, even though many administration features are going to be included as well.
Main features:
- Automaticaly expanded database tree showing all the databases.
- The middle right pane shows the output of show table status when clicked on the database in the tree
- The middle right pane automaticaly moves to the results of sql command when a command is triggered
- SQL command textarea supports triggering of marked commands
