Zip is a compression and file packaging utility for Unix, VMS, DOS, OS/2, Windows 9x/NT, Amiga, Atari, Macintosh, BeOS, SMS/QDOS, MVS, VM/CMS, and others.
Zip is analogous to a combination of the Unix commands tar(1) and compress(1) and is compatible with PKWAREs PKZIP and Nico Maks WinZip. Its part of the Info-ZIP project.

GRUB for DOS is a rebuild of the GNU GRUB boot manager for DOS, and can be run under real mode DOS. It also has many new features.
For example, it can be booted through BOOT.INI of Windows (grldr) and kexec of Linux (grub4lin).
The disk emulation feature is another enhancement over GNU GRUB, and can be used to run legacy DOS/Windows9x systems with floppy or hard disk images.

Castle-combat is a clone of the old DOS game Rampart.

Up to four players build castle walls, place cannons inside these walls, and shoot at the walls of their enemy(s).

If a player cant build a complete wall around one of his castles, he loses. The last surviving player wins.

Openglad project is a SDL port of the old (and recently open-sourced) DOS game Gladiator.

Openglad is an SDL port of an old DOS game called Gladiator, which was developed by FSGames in the mid 90s. It is a top-down gauntlet-style RPG in which you hire team mates, go on missions, and improve your team with the spoils you reap. It can be played by up to 4 players (using split-screen), and features many classes, special abilities, and a scenario editor.

BlockOut II is a free adaptation of the original BlockOut DOS game edited by California Dreams in 1989. BlockOut II has the same features than the original game with few graphic improvements.

The score calculation is also nearly similar to the original game. BlockOut II has been designed by an addicted player for addicted players. BlockOut II is an open source project available for both Linux and Windows operating systems.

GRX is a library for 2D graphics, originaly written by Csaba Biegl for DJ Delories DOS port of the GCC compiler.

Now it support DOS (using the DJGPP v2 compiler), Linux console, X11 and Win32 (using the Mingw compiler).

On DOS it supports EGA, VGA and VESA compliant cards. On Linux console it uses svgalib or the framebuffer. On X11 only Linux is directly supported, but it must work on any X11R5 (or later) system after a few changes in a config file.

From the 2.4 version, GRX comes with a Win32 driver, from 2.4.6 you can considere it stable. The Linux console framebuffer video driver was new in 2.4.2, it is in alpha stage.
