BeleniX ISO Remastering Toolkit software consists of a set of shell scripts, utilities and config files that allows one to customize the BeleniX ISO image and generate modified LiveCDs also called remastering.
Remastering BeleniX requires a bit of work. Though the scripts automate most of the process, this is the initial version of this software so some enhancements are still in the TODO stage.
Enhancements:
- This is the first release of the ISO Remastering Tookit for BeleniX.
- It allows one to create customized LiveCDs based on BeleniX.
- The HOWTO describes the process in detail.

ECLI library is an Eiffel wrapper around the X/Open ISO/CLI (Call Level Interface), which defines an API to RDBMS drivers and uses SQL92.
ISO/CLI is also known as ODBC under MS Windows.
ECLI wants to be portable across (1) Platforms, (2) Eiffel Compilers.
(1) Platform portability : ECLI works on any platform that has an ISO/CLI Implementation.
(2) Eiffel Compiler Portability : ECLI uses as "standard" Eiffel as possible. The GOBO Library is used for specific data structures.
Some tricks have been used to be free from the idiosyncrasies of any Eiffel Compiler.
It is a pity that even for basic/kernel classes it seems impossible for compiler vendors/providers to agree on some standard.
Enhancements:
- New features include blob/large data transfer, information on DBMS capabilities, session control and information, different login strategies, and information about installed ODBC drivers.
- The samples, documentation, tests, and class hierarchies were reworked.
- Various bugs were fixed.

With this package, it is easy to modify the GeeXboX in a few seconds without having to build the sources.
The generator produces an ISO image of the GeeXboX, ready to be burned on disc.
GeeXboX ISO Generator currently works under both GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows 9x/NT/2k/XP operating systems.

libiso8601 provides a C API for parsing and manipulating ISO8601 times/dates. Each time/date object is specified to the nearest nanosecond. Parsed times which are specified to less accuracy give a start/end time and the parser can also record the original accuracy and format for later reproduction after manipulation.

This library currently only has time/date parsing and printing, and some very simple manipulation functions (it does allow parsing of basic or extended format ISO dates in ISO week, ordinal or calendar varieties). In particular it does not deal with durations (periods) or recurring times. This is reflected in its low version number.

poweriso is the free, Linux CLI version of PowerISO.

This is a free utility for linux which can extract, list, and convert image files (including ISO, BIN, DAA, and other formats).

Usage: poweriso [parameters] [-switches]

list

List files and directories in image file.

Example: List all files and directories in root direcory of /home/sam/test.iso .
Command: poweriso list /home/sam/test.iso / -r

extract

Extract files/directories from image file.

Example: Extract all files and directories in root direcory of /home/sam/test.iso to /home/sam/test recursively.
Command: poweriso extract /home/sam/test.iso / -od /home/sam/test

convert

Convert image file to other format.

Example: Convert /home/sam/test.daa to standard iso file
Command: poweriso convert /home/sam/test.daa -o /home/sam/test.iso -ot iso

Switches

-r List or extract recursively.
-o Specify output image file name.
-od Specify output folder.
-ot Specify output image file type. If not specified,
the image type will be determined by file name suffix.
-volsize Split output image file to multiple volumes, and set volume
size to . Example: -volsize 100M
-setpassword Set password for output image file.
Example: -setpassword 12345678

flmkisofs project is a very simple program for creating ISO images with mkisofs.

flmkisofs is a very simple program for creating ISO images with the mkisofs program. It can create DVD video ISO images, Apple ISO filesystems, HFS/ISO filesystems, and El Torito or Generic bootable ISO filesystems.

It fully supports versions 1 through 3 of the ISO filesystem standard, with RockRidge and Joliet extensions, and has partial UDF support.

ByteName project is a tool that for each byte of the input prints a line consisting of the byte offset, the hex value of the byte, the octal value of the byte, and its description in Latin-1, Latin-2, WinLatin1, WinLatin2, or EBCDIC.
A command line flag suppresses printing of bytes within the ASCII range which is useful for locating stray non-ASCII codes.
The available encodings are:
