XHR Chat is a demonstration type chat script I wrote when experimenting with xmlHttpRequest. It never refreshes, keeps an infinite post log, and checks for new posts once a second.

XHR Chat will degrade gracefully if the browser doesnt support xmlHttpRequest, just so long it still has javascript enabled.

Sensible IRC Handler aims to provide an interface for Gaim that handles irc:// links in Firefox Browser. This will provide the same xchat-gnome functionality to handle irc:// links, but for Gaim.
Recent changes in inclusion of packages for future Ubuntu release will not include xchat-gnome because of recursive duplication with Gaims IRC capabilities, so IRC will be entirely handled in Gaim.
This will use Gaim as an IRC client, but will not alter the main Gaim configurations, this would create a temporary configurations for the current sessions. A functionality to add the IRC channels defined in InternetRelayChat in Gaim buddy list, will be easy, but will not add them by default. Adding them for a user requires further discussions.

Peekko Chat is a new Firefox extension that makes every web page a location where people can congregate.
Peekko Chat adds a toolbar to Firefox that shows how many people are in that pages chat room and allows you to instantly connect with them.
Installation:
- Install the extension by clicking on the following link using Firefox 1.5.
- Click on the "Options" button in the toolbar and select a set of nicknames to give yourself. If your nickname is taken, it will use one of your alternate nicknames. Note: If you skip this step, you might be given an unfavorable nickname from the nickname generator like "kurblatz18".
- To see how many people are at a given page, click "Connect."

Wap-IRC gateway allows you to chat on IRC with any WAP-enabled mobile phone. It works by running the server program on a Unix-like system that is accessible over the Internet. It doesnt require phones which have programs written in Java.
I am Tomas Vilda, student studying at University of Vilnius, Lithuania. I started interested in wap when I bought my first wap enabled mobile phone. I searched for the running irc-wap gateway. But with no success. Actually, I found some, but no such, that I make to connect to specified IRC server. Then I found wapirc gateway written by Alan Cox . I tried it on my FreeBSD server. During compilation I got error, because of bad Makefile. So I compiled it by correcting Makefile and ran successful. My mobile is Siemens C55. To start using this wapirc gateway I have to make some modifications. They are listed below.

- cgi/write_wml(): new linewise printout, italic makeup, nicks are linked setting defaultvalues for talking on channels and privat.
