Read Local Lyrics is a little Python script works as a lyrics plugin.

If to some audio file, a corresponding ".txt" file can be found in the same folder, this is taken as the lyrics of the song.

This is my first amaroKs plugin that fetch lyrics from the amazing letras.mus.brs database. Its quite simple and can (no doubt) be improved.

To stop fetching lyrics only in brazilian portuguese you have to change the default value of the "locale" variable in the very begining of the shell script.

Its not possible to configure it using a GUI, for now.

Lyriki-Lyrics used to be a lyrics plugin to interface with lyriki.com. Its been now completely rewritten and extended to form a collection of lyric scripts. Whats interesting about these scripts is that they query the other scripts when they cant provide the lyrics for a song.

Support for other sites its also pretty trivial to add (only a few methods have to be implemented) and ill be porting all the existing plugins in not much time. Check out the code if you want to help.

Also included theres a special plugin, Lyriki Submit, which can add missing lyrics to Lyriki.com (a Lyriki account is needed to use it). If you dont want to submit lyrics you can still use the simple Lyriki script (it will still take care of querying the other scripts when needed).

AutoLyrix is a program (not a pluggin!) created to download lyrics and AlbumArt (artwork) automatically. This software is very similar to EvilLyrics (at least the interface). Saved lyrics from EvilLyrics can be used by AutoLyrix. The only thing you have to do is run AutoLyrix and it will find a supported player running, get the current song and download the lyric for you. - To make XMMS works only add the text echo "%n" > /tmp/currentSong.txt in Preferences, General Plugins, Song Change Plugin and enable this plugin, run AutoLyrix and in Preferences enable the "Support Input From File" and select the file /tmp/currengSong.txt. And enjoy!
