iFish 0.30.1
iFish is a Instant Messenger gui made with nice Fishs. more>>
iFish is a Instant Messenger gui made with nice Fishs. Written in python. (now only Gtk, may be later we use Qt and others). Main objetives are of this application are: be nice, fast, usable, portable, and sopport different free messengers systems/backends
Since beta2, when you start up IMFish you should see a couple of whales, as many as backend and IM libs, used by IMFish were detected.
You can talk to each of them, depending on who are you talking to, you have the following commands:
all whales:
start : make this protocol start to run
quit : stops this protocol/backend
autohide=bool: where bool is True or False, so you dont need to exec start on this whale everytime you start IMFish
var=value: enables you to setup a value for a variable named var.
And for each whale, available vars are:
Ysm Vars
autohide=bool: lets you choose to see or not the ysm, textmode console
Jabber Vars
server=server-id :that may be a host or an ip addres user=username: is your jabber user (from user@server/resource)
pass=password :the password for your jabber user res=resourcename :resource to connect to..
ssl=bool :use ssl connection
Msnlib Vars
user=username:is your msn user for login
pass=password:is the password of your user
Sometimes the backends freezes the gui, gave it some time to connect. (Its a known bug)
After that, when you are logged in some net, you should see fishes on the window and you can talk to them in the same way that you did to the whales!

kio_fish 1.1.2
Kio_fish is a kioslave for KDE 2/3 that lets you view and manipulate your remote files . more>>
Kio_fish is a kioslave for KDE 2/3 that lets you view and manipulate your remote files using just a simple shell account and some standard unix commands on the remote machine.
Usage is really simple: open up a konqueror window (or use the Alt-F2 dialog) and type fish://user@remote.machi.ne. kio_fish will ask you for the password, if any is needed, and you will start out in your home directory. Now you have to do everything you do on your local hard disk.
This is a complete client implementation using his original version 0.0.2 protocol, extending it with 2 commands (which are only optional - should a real FISH server exist on server side that doesnt understand them, this ioslave still works, only slower). Moreover, this client does complete shell metacharacter quoting on all arguments, a fact that is neccessary but missing from the specs. Extensions used are: append (APPEND command), copy (COPY command), lscount (LIST first prints number of files to be listed), lslinks (LIST shows symlink info instead of info about link targets), lsmime (LIST
determines the MIME type on the server side) Password and host key queries are handled via dialog boxes. The goal of this client is to make a remote directory look and feel exactly like a local directory, with all comfort, only slower.
Included below is the original posting from the mc mailing list archives. If perl is installed on the remote machine and in the default PATH, it will be used to transfer a custom server script which is much faster than shell-only mode and more predictable as well. The script is stored in a file called .fishsrv.pl in the working directory di
Enhancements:
- fixed shell mode symlink display
- made perl server compatible with 5.005

Fish Supper 0.1.5
Fish Supper is an arcade puzzler based on Frogger. more>>
Fish Supper is an arcade puzzler based on Frogger. Fish Supper is loosely based on the retro classic Frogger.
Guide a cat across a series of rivers, jumping from log to log to reach a tasty fish supper on the other side.
Before landing on a log, though, you need to make sure youve got a crystal the same colour (or two that together will make that colour), otherwise youre zapped back to the beginning.
Written in C++/SDL.
Installation:
You will need the SDL, SDL_image and SDL_mixer libraries and development files.
After unpacking the archive, go into the "src" directory:
cd FishSupper/src
Type: make
Move back up one level: cd ..
You should now have an executable called "fishsupper" that you can run with:
./fishsupper

Quanta Plus 3.5.7
Quanta is a web editor for KDE supporting HTML and more. more>>
Quanta Plus is a highly stable and feature rich web development environment. Quantas vision has always been to start with the best architectural foundations, design for efficient and natural use and enable maximal user extensibility.
We recognize that we dont have the resources to do everything we would like to so our target is to make it easy for you to help make this the best community based desktop application anywhere. Pretty much everything in Quanta is designed so you can extend it.
Even the way it handles XML DTDs is based on XML files you can edit. You can even import DTDs, write scripts to manage editor contents, visually create dialogs for your scripts and assign script actions to nearly any file operation in a project. You can even look at and communicate with a wide range of what happens inside Quanta using DCOP.
Quanta is based on KDE so this means it is network transparent from any dialog or project. It can use not only FTP but other KDE KIO slaves from file dialogs or in project settings. For instance if you want secure access try the fish KIO slave that uses SSH.
Just enter fish://[user]@domain in any dialog or select fish in your project settings. Here on this site you will find information on using Kommander to visually build dialogs you can extend Quanta with. These applications talk to each other using an IPC (Inter Process Communication) called DCOP (DEsktop Communication Protocol).
Of course I realize this can sound like alphabet soup techno-babble to some web developers, but heres what it means. When you are using Quanta and realize you would like to do something and you want to ask "Can I do this?" you can expect the answer will not only be yes, but it will probably be even cooler than you hoped for.
Not included on this site are other tools you can use with Quanta for revision control and reviewing and merging changes in files. Those applications are Cervisia and Kompare, and if they are not installed and you install them Quanta will use them.
We would like to think that there are rich rewards to be found here for those willing to explore new ways of doing things, or perhaps in some cases old ways that are just new to you.

OLSR daemon 0.4.10
OLSR daemon project is an implementation of the Optimized Link State Routing protocol for mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs). more>>
OLSR daemon project is an implementation of the Optimized Link State Routing protocol for mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs).
OLSR is a routing protocol for mobile ad-hoc networks. The protocol is pro-active, table driven and utilizes a technique called multipoint relaying for message flooding. olsrd also implements a popular optional link quality extension. Currently the implementation compiles on GNU/Linux, Windows, OS X, FreeBSD and NetBSD systems.
Olsrd is ment to be a well structured and well coded implementation that should be easy to maintain, expand and port to other platforms. The implementation is RFC3626 compliant with respect to both core and auxiliary functioning.
Olsrd supports use of loadable plugins. These can be used to to handle and generate custom packettypes to be carried by OLSRs MPR flooding scheme or for any other desired functioning.
Enhancements:
- Network simulator (olsr_switch) added. Read more in the README file included in the release.
- New experimental fish eye link distribution algorithm. Read more in the README file included in the release.
- Tiny Application Server(TAS) plugin added
- Plugin interface changes. Olsrd now exports all symbols mening that plugins can access all olsrd functions easily.
- Olsrd now builds and runs on OpenBSD
- Build system rewrites(OS detection is now done automagically)
- Lots of bugfixes and minor changes
