giblib 1.2.4

giblib 1.2.4

Giblib is a utility library more>>
Giblib is a utility library used by many of the applications I write. It incorporates doubly linked lists, some string functions, and a wrapper for imlib2. The wrapper does two things. It gives you access to fontstyles, which can be loaded from files, saved to files or defined dynamically through the API. It also, and more importantly, wraps imlib2s context API changing this sections:
imlib_context_set_image(image);
imlib_context_set_blend(1);
imlib_context_set_dither(0);
imlib_context_set_anti_alias(1);
imlib_context_set_operation(IMLIB_OP_COPY);
imlib_blend_image_onto_image(src,0,0,0,w,h,0,0,w,h);
imlib_context_set_image(image2);
imlib_context_set_color(255,255,255,255);
imlib_image_draw_rectangle(0,0,50,50);
to this:
gib_imlib_blend_image_onto_image(image,src,0,0,0,w,h,0,0,w,h,0,1,1);
gib_imlib_image_draw_rectangle(image2,0,0,50,50,255,255,255,255);
To use giblib in your own applications, simply #include , and compile using CFLAGS=`giblib-config --cflags` LIBS=`giblib-config --libs`.
Enhancements:
- Applied patch from Claes Nasten
- fixes some gib_hash glitches including a possible core dump

ferm 1.2.4

ferm 1.2.4

ferm is a tool to maintain and setup complicated firewall rules. more>>
ferm is a tool to maintain and setup complicated firewall rules. It allows one to reduce the sometime nasty task of carefully inserting rules and chains, thus enabling the firewall administrator to spend more time on developing good rules, and less time on the proper implementation of those rules.
Ferm is written in perl, so it requires perl5, and one of the kernel firewall programs (ipchains/iptables/ipfwadm) to work, although you may test firewall rule generation on any platform that supports perl.
For a good understanding how ferm works: check out the examples listed on top of this page.
Enhancements:
- Support has been added for ipt_hashlimit and ipset.
- There is a fix for the module "icmp6".
- Hooks have been implemented.

nALFS 1.2.4

nALFS 1.2.4

nALFS is an interactive Automated Linux From Scratch profile parser. more>>
Automated Linux From Scratch or ALFS, is a project that aims to create a generic framework of an extendable system builder and package installer using XML to describe the process.

Its goal is to automate the process of creating an LFS system. It seeks to make the process of building LFS easier and more efficient while still providing flexibility, granting the user total control and insight into the compilation and management of his LFS build.

The LFS and BLFS projects have selected the nALFS implementation as the "official" ALFS implementation. See below for more info.

Its been in production use for over a year now and is under active development. Take a look at the news page for status of the current stable version.

The LFS and BLFS projects official implementation is Neven Hass nALFS. Mark Ellis also has a perl implementation. Next to the official ALFS implementation, there are a number of more or less tested automated LFS build systems available in the section menu.

Nuface 1.2.4

Nuface 1.2.4

Nuface is a Web-based administration tool that generates Edenwall, NuFW, or simple Netfilter firewall rules. more>>
Nuface is a Web-based administration tool that generates Edenwall, NuFW, or simple Netfilter firewall rules.
Nuface project features a high level abstraction on the security policy set by the administrator, and works internally on an XML data scheme.
Its philosophy is to let you agglomerate subjects, resources, or protocols into meta-objects, and use those meta objects to generate ACLs, which are then interpreted as netfilter rules by Nupyf, the internal XML parser.
This tool may easily be extended to support firewall implementations other than Netfilter.
Enhancements:
- This release fixes a bug that would scramble destination NAT rules when deleting any other NAT rule.
- It adds an HTML href to linked objects so they can be directly edited.

autools 1.2.4

autools 1.2.4

autools is a collection of audio utilities. more>>
autools is a collection of several C programs to play, record, generate, modify, and analyse audio files on Linux/Solaris/IRIX/Win32. It includes native support for 16 bit .au and raw files. If linked with the AFsp library, most common audio file formats are supported.

Instructions for install:

Compile:
make

Install:
make install
or
make install INSTALL_DIR=/usr/local/bin

Most of this software utilises AFsps libtsp for audio file i/o. Thus libtsp needs to be available in the default include & library paths orin the directories given by the environment variables AFSP_INCLUDE_PATH and AFSP_LIBRARY_PATH. Further details about AFsp are given below.

This software can also be compiled without AFsps libtsp library - in this case, only 16-bit SUN "*.au"-files are supported:
make clean
make USE_AFSP=0

The makefile assumes gcc/g++ and GNU make. It was successfully tested on Linux, Solaris, and IRIX. However it might be necessary to adapt it to your local environment ...

PHP 4.0 or later is required to run AxisPHP.AxisPHP is licensed under the GPL.
The portion of the library of interest to most people will be the objects for the generation of PostScript and PDF documents, as they can be run on a standard PHP server (unlike the PDFlib extension, which must be compiled into PHP).
Also of interest may be the User and Session objects, which provide relatively seamless support for handling user accounts and maintaining the state of variables between page loads, respectively.
Enhancements:
- added User->Status() to check result of last method call
- added User->StatusMessage() to return descriptive string for errors
- fixed bug in User object that could prevent abstract user record from loading correctly when specified by user name
- added User->GetDate() to retrieve formatted date field
- fixed bug in User->ChangePassword() that prevented password from being changed
- added TemplateFile parameter to User->CreateNewUserWithEMailedPassword()
- to specify name of file to use as template for registration e-mail message (parameter has default value)
- added User->GetPrivList() and User->SetPrivList() to make editing of user privilege settings easier
- added multiple optional parameters to User->HasPriv() to support checking for multiple privilege flags with one call

Spinner 1.2.4

Spinner 1.2.4

Displays a little "spinning" ASCII character in the top left corner of terminal. more>> Spinner is an anti-idle program that displays a little "spinning" ASCII character in the top left corner of your terminal. To make this effect it cycles through punctuation marks like this " - \ | / - \ | / ... " (try it to see). By default the character is drawn in inverse video (or your terminals equivalent). But you can turn this off with the -i switch. In spinner mode Spinner supports any terminal capable of handling VT100 style escape codes. In null mode (-n switch) Spinner supports any terminal. In null mode there is no visible output, and Spinner will not interfere with your terminal or scrollback. If you find the little spinner in the top left corner to be distracting use null mode. (-n switch).
Spinner is useful for keeping telnet and ssh links from dropping due to inactivity. Many firewalls, and some ISPs drop connections when they are perceived as idle. By having spinner running the server is constantly sending a tiny amount of data over the link, preserving the connection. As of version 1.2 Spinner can also be activated with the -n switch so that, instead of displaying a spinner, it simply sends out a periodic null character to the terminal. This achieves the same anti-idle benefit without disturbing your screen. But it lacks the coolness factor of a little spinner in the corner of the terminal.
Thus (for search engines) Spinner is an anti-idle, timeout preventing, background daemon process for unix variants including linux.
Spinner also has a (mainly fun) mode I like to call "Ghost in the Machine" mode. In this mode you can use spinner to write the spinner character to ANY tty, not just your own. This requires adequate permissions, of course.
