Main features:
- Pylon is absolutely free either for commercial or for any other purpose.
- It is written in pure C and C++.
- It is for Linux only.
- It is a scriptable platform. That means that Pylon-based application will be scriptable. Pylon uses Forth as a scripting language.
- Pylon-based application is supposed to be a single thread application.
- Pylon provides a non-preemptive multitasking.

Phaeronix is a gentoo love-sources RR4 CD with reiser4 enabled grub, auto hardware detection with nvidia 3D support , ready for multimedia, internet, and arabic. It is optimised for i686.

The kernel is now based on the 2.6.15-arckck7 patchset with a couple of additions ( one to fix acer laptop hangs and the other to fix slow laptop battery polls).

Final release is probably going to be based on the new -beyond patchset.
The livecd uses a genkernel generated initramfs, but with quite some hacks added to the linuxrc. As a result this initramfs can now probably boot from any media, anything from IDE to external firewire.

The CD is rendered pseudo-writable thanks to squashfs and unionfs.
Hardware detction is modular and can be turned on and off as needed. You can see the possible options in the cheatcodes list.

Modular Xorg-X11 7.0 is the default Xorg server. XGL server is included as an optional featured activated at boot time by booting like this :
"linux xgl"

The desktop is a full gnome-2.14 , there is no KDE and no qt/KDE apps.

The default user name is phaeron and its password is also phaeron.

The root password is root.

The available editors are vim and nano.

Its built specifically to support arabic, with some patches and customizations. However, this is an ongoing process. It was spurred by arabbixs stagnation. Best of all just click on the keyboard applet or press alt+shift and you get an arabic keyboard layout.

"w3m -v" is the text only browser because it supports arabic ( along with bicon to bidi/shape properly ). Check here for the inspiration : http://www.eglug.org/node/1953

Also in gnome-terminal run a new session with the arabic profile and you will have full bidi and shaping thanks to arabeyes bicon.

Msameers arabic wordlist has been included in aspell and openoffice. Check here for the arabic wordlist : http://www.eglug.org/node/1976

You can logout from the desktop and choose arabic as the session language and then log in again. The desktop will be RTL and mostly in arabic. The reason this isnt made easier or more obvious is a lot of things still need translation or bugfixing. The infrastructure is there however.

The supported locales are : arabic, french, italian, german,and slovak.

The official gentoo installer is also included to help installing gentoo if you want.

This is my first Superkaramba theme and a work in progress. I would love to hear comments, opinions and suggestions in order to improve this theme.

last played is a small script that shows the last 5 files a mounted iPod shuffle played in shuffle mode.
Since you look at this page, you probably own an iPod shuffle. If you are like me, you like to upload new music on it, set it to shuffle mode and enjoy. Yeah!
Until there comes a song you really love or hate, but your trusty shuffle lacks a display, so there is no way to know (other than to memorize some lyrics and google for them) which song it was.
Luckily, there is an easier way: last played is a small python script that will put the last 5 (or whatever you tell it on command line) files you listened to on screen. Now you can simply delete songs you hate and give 5 stars to songs you love.
I recommend putting the last.py on the root directory of your shuffle. You can then start it from there using
python last.py
on the command line.
last played is released under the terms of the GNU GPL.
Version restrictions:
- Since the iPod shuffle recreates its shuffle sequence whenever the end of the current shuffle sequence is reached, the script might return wrong results now and then. I have not yet tested it thoroughly enough to confirm it, sorry. However, this should not happen too often.
Enhancements:
- This version now (probably) finds a shuffle under MS Windows, and detects if the sequential mode was set, showing the right files in this case.

Decilo Gratis is a Firefox extension that allows you to say what you want on decilogratis.com for free: just select in any web page the text you want to post on decilogratis, and then post it via right-click or Tools menu.

In decilogratis.com you can write all what you want, for example, what you think about something, what you are looking for buying or selling, a secret you want to share, or just tell to your girl/boyfriend how much you love her/him. You can have your own public blog here too, just write always under your own tag! Now, with this extension is easier to say something!

Prey tells the story of Tommy, a Cherokee garage mechanic stuck on a reservation going nowhere. His life changes when an otherworldly crisis forces him to awaken spiritual powers from his long-forgotten birthright. Abducted along with his people to a menacing mothership orbiting Earth, he sets out to save himself and his girlfriend and eventually his planet.
Prey is serious, dark story, based on authentic Cherokee mythology. Themes of sacrifice, love and responsibility are explored and the story dives into emotional territory not yet explored by similar games. You will find nothing familiar with this game.
Overview
In Prey, gamers enter an unpredictable world where nothing can be taken for granted. Most of the game takes place within a living ship, a giant entity that can sense and react to Tommys presence.
Prey makes use of Josephs Campbells renowned story structure, "The Heros Journey," for guiding the main character arc. Campbells extensive work on mythological story progression was made famous when George Lucas used it for Luke Skywalkers story arc in the original Star Wars.
Main features:
- Built on an enhanced Doom 3 engine, the most impressive 3D engine used in a released game.
- Portal technology adds a new dimension to gameplay, allowing enemies to appear out of thin air and create new and completely original puzzles and gameplay styles.
- Several never-before-seen gameplay elements such as Spirit Walking, Wall Walking, and Deathwalk.
- Highly organic, living environment that itself can attack Tommy.
- A deep, emotional story of love and sacrifice.
- Tommy has a sidekick, a spiritual hawk that can help him fight enemies and decipher the alien language of the living ship.
- Multiplayer game support that takes advantage of the unique gameplay styles in Prey.

ascii-invaders project is a clone of Space Invaders which uses the curses library.
t compiles and runs on MacOS X, GNU/Linux and probably any other system with a curses implementation. I tried to reproduce the way the aliens move in the real game (which you can play on the MAME emulator on a modern computer system). It looks better than it plays however.
I wrote it some time ago in a fit of the-way-computers-were-nostalgia. Perhaps Ill have a go at insulting another classic game in the same way soon.
While writing the game I was inspired to write a deranged rant about the joy of terminals, command lines, Unix, curses and vi.
If you need to change Ascii Invaders to build it on another platform, Id be grateful for patch or instructions so I can include them. Likewise, fixes and improvements to the ascii-art or the code are very welcome. Id also love to hear whether its actually usable on a real serial terminal :-)
