THC-Dialup Login Hacker 1.1

THC-Dialup Login Hacker 1.1

THC-Dialup Login Hacker is a tool for penetrating dialup modems. more>>
THC-Dialup Login Hacker is a tool for penetrating dialup modems.

All you need is UNIX and minicom. Have fun with this little release!

The internet is not the only door into a network. In this new days, wavelans are becoming popular, in old days, there were dial-in modems. But today, dial-in modems are still present in any company.

While tools for wardialing (scanning phone numbers for modems by dialing every number and checking if theres a carrier) are available for all operating systems for years, there were only a very few tools for trying to guess login/passwords against modem carriers, and they were all for MS-DOS only. Years ago, I wrote such a tool called LOGIN-HACKER, which is still in use by many people, just because theres no real choice.

About 5 years ago I completely moved from MS-DOS to UNIX (Linux and OpenBSD) so executing penetration tests became a pain in the ass for modem login hacking. Finally I wrote some scripts to hack into modem carriers for Unix as well.

To make it flexible and portable, I chose not to write my own terminal program and scripting language, like I did with LOGIN-HACKER. I just use simple Minicom scripts. And they are very effective! Also they could include more commands to interact with the operating system while the script is running, I made it possible, to autodetect almost any prompt, and detect if a login/password, or password only prompt was successfully passed or not.

Multi-Protocol Remote Login 0.3.0

Multi-Protocol Remote Login 0.3.0

Multi-Protocol Remote Login provides a middleware allowing SSH, telnet, and local logins from the login: prompt. more>>
Multi-Protocol Remote Login provides a middleware allowing SSH, telnet, and local logins from the login: prompt.
MPRL is a middleware application between a *getty program and SSH, telnet, and other such remote-login protocols. It allows a user at a Linux terminal to log into other systems without needing a valid local user-id. It currently supports telnet, ssh, and /bin/login.
It syntax follows the [protocol:]user[@host][:port] fashion.
These are valid logins:
- buanzo - Normal local login: /bin/login gets called.
- buanzo@linux.org.ar - SSH protocol by default: /usr/bin/ssh gets called
- ssh:buanzo@webserver.algo.net

autocrypt 0.0.3

autocrypt 0.0.3

autocrypt is an automatic crypted disk mapping creation with rootplug. more>>
autocrypt its a set of scripts that use linux hotplug/udev/cryptoapi mechanism to allow you autocrypting a harddrive what do I means by autocrypting : I means using a "rootplug" ie an identification device to activate the possibility of mounting automatically a crypted device.

Youll need such tool if typically you have some data you require to protect whith cryptography and that you want not creating the node "by hand" each time (this require root privileges) look at the following scenario :

you work into a company which data are sensitives
you dont want to encrypt your home using pam crypt because
you dont want to have to setup your workspace each time you come back.

So you dant want to logout, using a screensaver to prevent use of your computer. But while youre loged the data are accessible.... a malicious hacker can login to you box via network and have access to your data....

You can manually create the cryting device mounting and umounting them at demand but this means you have root privilege you can use a special identification device, a "key" that do it for you.... thats autocrypt this solution use the widely available usbkeys/drives to create the unencrypted devices when the key is pluged and to remove it safely when the device is removed.

Secure Login 0.7.2

Secure Login 0.7.2

Secure Login provides a login extension similar to Operas Wand login. more>>
Secure Login provides a login extension similar to Operas Wand login.

It uses the built-in password manager, but deactivates the prefilling of login forms.
Instead, you are now able to login with one click or a keyboard shortcut (ALT+N).
Just add the Secure Login toolbar button to your toolbar, or use the provided statusbar icon.
If you hover over one of the icons, a tooltip is shown, displaying the login url and the number of available logins (users).
For more than one user or login forms on the current page a selection prompt is displayed on login.
You have the option to play sound notifications (*.wav) for found login data on the current page or when logging in.
All the options can be changed using the Secure Login settings menu or the statusbar icon context menu.

Secure Login provides you with a number of Security enhancements and helps protecting you from phishing:

Disabling the prefilling of login forms prevents malicious JavaScript code to automatically steal your login data.
This is due to the fact that no login data is inserted in form fields before the user clicks on the login button or logs in using the keyboard shortcut.
To make sure you login to the right website, the second level domain of the login url is compared to the second level domain of the current page.
If they do not match a dialog prompt is displayed before login.

SecureLogin provides you with an optional setting to protect you from all JavaScript code during login.
This can prevent cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks without having to deactivate JavaScript completely.
If you enable this option, your login data will never be inserted in any form fields nor will the login form be submitted.
Instead your credentials will be sent to the login page using internal Firefox methods.
Not all login forms will work this way, e.g. not those using JavaScript routines.
Therefore, you can add such websites to an exception list.

mkautosmb makes the local SMB network browsable from Linux.
Main features:
- Autodetects hosts and shares on local (windows) network.
- Support for CIFS.
- Auto-discovery mode. No PDC required (but can be used also).
- Handles hosts with multiple IPs; the one on the current sub net will be used.
- Sets up autofs configuration for automatically mounting shares.
- Creates virtual hierarchy, e.g. /net using symbolic links, so shares are visible when browsing.
- Possible to specify several diffrent mounting options, including set login, file/dir mask uid and gid.
- Excluding, by pattern, of whole hosts or specific shares.
- Multi-threaded for really speedy updates.
Enhancements:
- Fixes to mount options for cifs. Note: in some kernels (at least in 2.4.22), cifs does not recognize mount option credentials although it should.

SmartIrc4net 0.4.0

SmartIrc4net 0.4.0

SmartIrc4net in an IRC library for C#/.NET. more>>
SmartIrc4net project is a C# class for communication with IRC networks, which conforms to the RFC 2812 (IRC Protocol). Its orignally a port of SmartIRC (written in PHP), but its much more now (I will backport it to PHP5 some day). SmartIrc4net an API that handles all IRC protocol messages and is designed for creating IRC bots or even GUI clients.
Main features:
- 3 layered API:
- IrcConnection (low-level API) contains socket handling and message buffer
- IrcCommands (extends IrcConnection, middle-level API) contains RFC IRC commands plus easy to use IRC methods (like Op/Deop/Ban/Unban...)
- IrcClient (extends IrcCommands, high-level API) full featured IRC class, with channel syncing, fully event driven
- send/receive floodprotection
- detects and changes nickname on nickname collisions
- autoreconnect, if connection is lost
- autoretry for connecting to IRC servers
- debugging/logging system with log levels (using log4net)
- compatible with Mono and Micrsoft .NET Framework
- sendbuffer with a queue that has 3 priority levels (high, medium, low) plus a bypass level (critical)
- channel syncing (tracking of users/modes/topic etc in objects)
- user syncing (tracking the user in channels, nick/ident/host/realname/server/hopcount in objects)
- when channel syncing is acticated the following methods are available:
- IsJoined
- IsOpped
- IsVoiced
- IsBanned
- on reconnect all joined channels will be rejoined, also when keys are used
- own CTCP version reply can be set
Enhancements:
- This release contains crash fixes in the CTCP PING handling code, non-RFC support mode, channel mode parser, and connection handling.
- It also includes an active pinger, which detects network problems much better, as TCP sockets can stall for days or weeks before the error is detected.
- This is the first release that has support for UTF-8.
- The API documentation was extended.
- The login method accepts a list of nicknames, automatically uses the next nickname if a nickname collision happens, and uses part of the nickname plus a random number as a fallback.

dirqmail 0.14

dirqmail 0.14

dirqmail is a qmail patch which adds simple and fast virtual users support based on directories. more>>
dirqmail is a qmail patch which adds simple and fast virtual users support based on directories.
dirqmail puts users in /var/qmail/mail/< domain >/< login > directories, so for instance if /var/qmail/mail/example.org/example directory exists, qmail will treat example.org as a local domain, will accept mail for it via SMTP and QMTP daemons and will deliver mail to example@example.org as alias user using /var/qmail/mail/example.org/example as the home directory.
Main features:
- simple - you can just "see" and administer your domains and users from the command line or any file manager
- fast - checking for user of domain existence is just stating the correct directory
- atomic - all changes do not need any restarts/etc - everything just work in the "real-time"
- simple and fast aliases - just use symbolic links!
- works out of the box - just create /var/qmail/mail/domain.org/user to create user@domain.org user - permissions, ownership and Maildir creation will be handled automatically
- does not remove any of qmail features - dirqmail can coexist with any existent qmail installation - for example you can have some domains and users handled by system users (using /etc/passwd), some by qmail-users (/var/qmail/users), some by vpopmail and some by dirqmail (/var/qmail/mail)
- includes patch for checkpassword with support for POP3 (PASS and APOP) and SMTP (LOGIN, PLAIN, CRAM-MD5) - both for Krzysztof Dabrowskis and Erwin Hoffmanns SMTP AUTH patches

Virtual Console init 2.0.1

Virtual Console init 2.0.1

Virtual Console init is an /sbin/init clone for virtual consoles. more>>
Virtual Console init is an /sbin/init clone for virtual consoles. It is very easy to set up and use because it has no configuration files.
It is very small and has builtin getty, login, klogd, and slogd. Virtual Console init is suitable for embedded systems and home Linux boxes.
This is a new kind of "init" that only works for the virtual console, so dont try it to login from a serial line. The idea is having a very simple init for home Linux systems (although it could work on other systems as well, who knows...), allowing for a simpler and cleaner configuration. It is useful too in embedded systems or tiny boot disks (maybe as a complement for "busybox"). In other words: it works for me, I use it and Im releasing it in the hope of it being useful for others.
The binary itself doesnt accept parameters, so lets go directly to the behaviour... It must be run by "root" and have PID 1, so dont try to run it yourself, it wont work... You should install it under "/sbin/init", and the kernel will run it automatically at boot.
Take into account that this "init" has both the "getty" and "login" parts built-in, not as separate binaries. This means that if you have a server or another binary which needs "/bin/login", it probably WONT WORK. The sysklog system (kernel logger and system logger, "klogd" and "slogd") are built-in, too. You dont need sysklogd or equivalent, unless you want some feature of them... In that case, you can disable the builtin system.
Enhancements:
- vcinit is now licensed under the GPLv2 only, and not necessarily any later version of the GPL.
