ID3v2 Chapter Tool 1.4.4
ID3v2 Chapter Tool is an authoring tool which allows you to signal the start and end times of particular sequences. more>>
ID3v2ChapterTool is an application which allows you to author and embed chapter information in your MP3 files. ID3v2 Chapter Tool project is part of the BBC open source initiative and is maintained as a Sourceforge project.
The application uses a new signalling specification that has been developed by ID3.org which is supported by APIs created in this project. These build on the Java ID3 API developed by Jens Vonderheide.
Chapters in this context could be any of the following:
- chapters within an audiobook
- articles within a podcast
- individual tracks within a multi-track audio file
At the most basic level this chapter information consists of the start time of each chapter you define, allowing listeners to skip easily to these points in the file during replay. However, chapters can also have descriptive information (e.g. title), images and URLs.
The information attached to each chapter can be used by media players to provide a dynamic display during replay. For example, the images attached to each chapter can be used to provide a slide show.
The ID3v2ChapterTool also allows you to create a Table of Contents (TOC).
At the most advanced level it is possible to define multiple TOCs for a single audio file. For example, one TOC could provide access to the entire audio file whilst a second TOC could provide access to a set of highlights.
Once chapter information is widely supported by media players it will enable some exciting new multimedia applications such Audio Encyclopaedias.

Class::DBI::AutoIncrement 0.05
Class::DBI::AutoIncrement is a Perl module to emulate auto-incrementing columns on Class::DBI subclasses. more>>
Class::DBI::AutoIncrement is a Perl module to emulate auto-incrementing columns on Class::DBI subclasses.
SYNOPSIS
Lets assume you have a project making use of Class::DBI. You have implemented a subclass of Class::DBI called MyProject::DBI that opens a connection towards your projects database. You also created a class called MyProject::Book that represents the table Book in your database:
package MyProject::Book;
use base qw(MyProject::DBI);
MyProject::Book->table(book);
MyProject::Book->columns(Primary => qw(seqid));
MyProject::Book->table(Others => qw(author title isbn));
Now, you would like the column seqid of the table Book to be auto-incrementing, but your database unfortunately does not support auto-incrementing sequences. Instead, use Class::DBI::AutoIncrement to set the value of seqid automagically upon each insert():
package MyProject::Book;
use base qw(Class::DBI::AutoIncrement MyProject::DBI);
MyProject::Book->table(book);
MyProject::Book->columns(Primary => qw(seqid));
MyProject::Book->table(Others => qw(author title isbn));
MyProject::Book->autoincrement(seqid);
From now on, when you call:
my $book = Book->insert({author => me, title => my life});
$book gets its seqid field automagically set to the next available value for that column. If you had 3 rows in the table book having seqids 1, 2 and 3, this new inserted row will get the seqid 4 (assuming a default setup).

Research Master 1.2c
ResearchMaster has been designed to make working a little easier. more>>
ResearchMaster project has been designed to make working a little easier. Specifically, the application can be either a storage facility for all of your precious, miscellaneous digital information, or for just some of it. The project began as a way for the author to [1] have a centralized library for all the papers and various snippets he collects, and [2] to have some powerful, built-in support for BibTeX, the LaTeX bibliography system ( The LaTeX bibliography system, as described in the Leslie Lamport book. ISBN 0-201-52983-1).
When the application starts up, it creates a virtual filesystem (vfs) from information contained in records. Each record appends itself under at least one folder in the vfs, and the vfs is represented by a tree-widget system of folders and records. The application is divided into folder controls (left) and record controls (right).
Each record is actually a set of three python dictionaries, stored in a flat ascii text file. The three dictionaries correspond to [1] BibTex information corresponding to the record, [2] Meta information (eg. isbn, call number, url, membership) and [3] an endless notes file. When a record is selected from the tree widget, the corresponding three dictionaries are presented in a three-tabbed notebook widget on the right side of the application.
New records are created via a button on the records toolbar. When you create a new record the application pops a filechooser and you are given the opportunity to import a single file. Perhaps the imported file is a pdf copy of a research paper that you dont want to lose. ResearchMaster is a good place to store it. First, the record and the imported file now have each other. Now you can keep a log of your involvement with the file in the notes portion of the record. The Meta portion of the record contains non-BibTex information, such as which folders the record is a member of. The application accesses the records BibTex information whenever the record has membership within the subtree of a particular folder for which a recursive bibliography is being generated.
Heres a typical example: Say you create a folder for some project. Lets say that after six months your folder now has several subtrees of folders and records, all arranged according to the scheme that happened. Now imagine there are twenty records with BibTex information strewn throughout the projects subtree, side-by-side with other records that dont have BibTex information (notes, whatever). By pushing the Create Bibliography button on the left toolbar the application will produce a perfectly formatted BibTex file with all twenty records.
Each record can be made a member of any folder simply by adding the folders path to the membership list in the Meta portion of the record. The tree widget is dynamically constructed by recursively examining a directory tree (corresponding to the folders of the tree-widget) and the membership list contained in each record. This is done so that we only have one physical copy of each record, despite the fact that the record might show up in fifty different places throughout the tree widget.
The file that gets imported with a record can be any file of any format. You can tell ResearchMaster to launch the file as an argument to any external application, based on the filenames suffix (.gif, .avi, .mpg, .mp3). Then, select the record from the tree, push the launch button (on the records toolbar), and voila! The associated application brings up your file. Thats one feature that makes working a little easier.
Enhancements:
- Small correction was needed on line 1140 of ResearchMaster_wxuser.py, where "researchmaster" needed to be "ReseaerchMaster" for preferences initialization.

6. The book of the Bible, in which the question is referencing, needs to be selected in the upper-left-hand corner.
7. Below the book selection is value (points) for the question. This needs to be selected as well.
8. When all of this has been done, the "Save New Question" button will activate. Click it to save your question.

nextShows is a desktop applet for SuperKaramba that displays your favorite TV shows schedule.
PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: If youre using the previous version (1.0.0) you *MUST* remove your previous configuration/cache files or chances are nextShows 2.0.0 wont behave correctly.
Just do ...
$ rm -rf ~/.superkaramba/nextShows
... and everything should be sane enough for you to run this new version !
HISTORY:
I originally wrote this widget for myself and a couple of friends. In fact I didnt plan to release it publicly but some guys convinced me to do so. There were a bunch of releases before the first public release (which I decided to number v1.0.0 since it seemed stable enough).
Between the 1.0.0 and 2.0.0 releases, most parts of the code were fully rewritten and the project also found a new home (http://code.google.com/p/nextshows/) where you can also fetch the latest development version through SVN.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
1) When the widget if fully running you can left-click on the column entitled "When?" to change the way of displaying past/remaining days.
2) When left-clicking on a show name/title, the episode description will open on your browser.
3) You can change various nextShows parameters by right-clicking on the widget and selecting "Configure Theme" -> "Configure..."
