KDM Vista like Theme is a very nice KDM theme that looks like Vistas one.
I didnt see any Vista like KDM login theme... I wanted one so I tried.
Enhancements:
- There are now two themes. One for widescreen which is the same as the previous one and one for 4/3 screen. This new one has been successfully tested on a 1600 x 1200 screen. If you have other resolution, please try and report if it works.

Dungeon Crawl 0.2.7 (Stone Soup)
Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup is a fun, free rogue-like game of exploration and treasure-hunting. more>>
Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup is a fun, free rogue-like game of exploration and treasure-hunting in dungeons filled with dangerous and unfriendly monsters in a quest for the mystifyingly fabulous Orb of Zot.
Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup project is a variant of Linleys Dungeon Crawl thats openly developed and invites participation from the Crawl community.
Dungeon Crawl has superb, deep tactical gameplay, innovative magic and religion systems, and a grand variety of monsters to fight. Crawl is also one of the hardest roguelikes to beat. When you finally beat the game and write your victory post on rec.games.roguelike.misc, you know youve achieved something.
You can also play Crawl online on a public telnet server thanks to the good folks at crawl.akrasiac.org. crawl.akrasiac.org allows you to meet other players ghosts, watch other people playing, and, in general, have a blast.

Petals on a Rose 1.0
Petals on a Rose is an intriguing puzzle game for all ages. more>>
Petals on a Rose is an intriguing puzzle game for all ages. This website claims that Bill Gates was stumped by it for two days. Its usually played with a group of friends and a set of 5 dice. The game master rolls the dice and tells everyone the answer. This computer version of the puzzle works similarly, only in this case the computer plays as the game master.
To play you just double click the icon to start the program. Type your guess in the "Answer" field and press "Check". If your guess is correct you get congratulated, otherwise you need to try again. If you get tired of guessing you can press the "Give Up" button and youll get the answer to that particular roll.
Just press the "Roll Dice" button at any time to get a new set of numbers.
Always remember, dont tell the answer to anyone!
Have fun, and good luck.

Linux on a Stick 0.3
Linux on a stick is an attempt to make a Live-CD/USB-Flash server Linux distro. more>>
Linux on a Stick is an attempt to make a Live-CD/USB-Flash server Linux distro. At its heart is a very small and simple Linux distro that boots off CD/Flash and runs from RAM (Ie no spinning hard drives of death).
This approach allows us to strip the OS to its very basic components, which minimizes the amount of resources required. This distro is targeted towards Server administrator who are familiar with Linux, its only configuration method is the command line.
Enhancements:
- Linux kernel 2.4.33 was replaced with 2.6.18.8.
- A USB booting problem that would prevent it from booting on some BIOSs (Namely AMI) was resolved.
- The ARDIS iSCSI target was replaced with the Enterprise iSCSI target (v0.4.14).
- The Open iSCSI initiator (v2.0.754) package with kernel modules is included.
- The distribution now boots on more than just Intel CPUs.
- Userland tools (v3.6.19) and kernel FS support were included for ReiserFS and XFS.
- The PHP CLI is included in php-5.2.0 in root.gz initrd.

Brownstone is a KDE theme with a pale imitation of nature... Inspired by Green Leaf
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/Green+Leaf?content=54875
The JPEGs I have posted doesnt really do justice..a decent png was >300 kb so couldnt upload it..
My part is basically a config file for domino made by me.. everything else is available in kde-look
I have found that most themes are usually leaning towards blue or a specific shade of a colour..so i have tried to make this as colour neutral theme as possible..
More specifically I have tried to get the effect of grey stone on brown earth with greenery after rainfall.. when the sun has come out.. since thats the most soothing image i can think of..and has lots of soft colours..
The other stuff u see are available in kde-look:
Style:
Domino
(I am using the kubuntu package)
Windec:
Crystal
Wallpaper:
Soft green
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/More+green?content=41884
Colour:
Brown Terra
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/Brown+Terra?content=53421
Iconset:
Ekisho_project
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/Ekisho_Project?content=55588
I have made a small change to the icon set config after installation:
In file associations in control centre
goto inode>folder and change the icon to "folder_grey" in filesystems
because the default icon was too bright for this theme..the new icon is shown in the first screenshot
However for some reason the brighter icon appears in the Quick file menu..if someone can point me to the config where i can change that would appreciate it..
Not too sure about how much i have succeeded in getting the effect i wanted..but i hope you like it..feedback appreciated.

Sidebar in a Can is a tool for webmasters to take a large amount of static content and turn it into a dynamic content. more>>
Sidebar in a Can is a simple and powerful tool for webmasters to take a large amount of static content (intimidating to new users) and turn it into a quite manageable amount of dynamic content. The result showcases your sites material.
Sidebar in a Can is built on Snippets technology.
Sidebar in a Can is designed to be run as a straightforward web application, with much administrative activity performed on-web. Rather than trying to explain how to use it, I simply encourage you to explore.
Security
The present release of Sidebar in a Can has not been closely scrutinized for security, and should be treated as such by security-conscious administrators. If you examine the code and discover a vulnerability that could compromise the server, please contact the author at jshayward@pobox.com. The script is intended to have light security and not to compromise a server, but it is not intended to store credit card numbers or other sensitive information.
The default installation sets < the private sidebar data directory > and contents to mode 777. Administrators are encouraged to set directory and contents to mode 700, owned by the effective user ID that Snippets will be running under.

A MySQL Storage Engine for AWS S3 0.06
A MySQL Storage Engine for AWS S3 is a plugin storage engine that allows MySQL to access Amazon Web Services. more>>
A MySQL Storage Engine for AWS S3 project is a plugin storage engine that allows MySQL to access Amazon Web Services Simple Storage Service (AWS S3) buckets and items.
You need a MySQL source tree, and you need to have it built.
Figure out where the source tree is.
In my case its /home/mark/mysql/mysql-5.1-arch
Figure out where the target install tree is.
In my case its /home/mark/mysql/builds/example
Figure out where the MySQL build puts storage engine plugins.
Its probably in lib/mysql under the install tree
Or its /usr/lib/mysql
Or its /usr/local/lib/mysql
For me its /home/mark/mysql/builds/example/lib/mysql
Then run:
./config/bootstrap
./configure --with-mysql=/path/to/mysql-source --libdir=/path/to/mysql-plugins
make && make install
You can optionally copy the "src" directory here into storage/ in the
MySQL server source, rebuild MySQL, and things should compile.
Next, you should probably install the S3 command line tools.
They depend on you having Python.
Get them at http://www.hanzoarchives.com/development-projects/s3-tools/
If you dont have one yet, you need an Amazon AWS account, and then
request that they enable S3. Go to http://amazonaws.com/ to do that.
You will need to get your "AWS Access Key Identifiers".
Assume they are
FV8CY5793BC7CY32YOSN
W9oQxQNJizGgjxNc82giE9/ipefQW19tuO2xpC9G
(I just made those up with a random number generator.)
Put this in your .bashrc file
AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID=FV8CY5793BC7CY32YOSN
AWS_ACCESS_KEY_SECRET=W9oQxQNJizGgjxNc82giE9/ipefQW19tuO2xpC9G
export AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID AWS_ACCESS_KEY_SECRET
This isnt used by the storage engine, but it makes using the s3 command
line tools easier.
Use s3mkbucket to create a bucket. Remember that buckets are in a
global namespace, and there are advantages to having them look lik a
domain name. I suggest you snap up "s3.example.com", where
"example.com" is your own domain name.
s3mkbucket s3.example.com
s3put -k solfege/Do -s "a deer, a female deer" s3.example.com
s3put -k solfege/Re -s "a drop of golden sun" s3.example.com
s3put -k solfege/Mi -s "a name I call myself" s3.example.com

s3put -k solfege/La -s "a note to follow So" s3.example.com
s3put -k solfege/Ti -s "a drink with jam and bread" s3.example.com
Then at the mysql> prompt
create table s3notes (s3id varchar(255) not null primary key, s3val blob)
engine=AWSS3
connection=awss3 s3.example.com FV8CY5793BC7CY32YOSN W9oQxQNJizGgjxNc82giE9/ipefQW19tuO2xpC9G;
select * from s3notes where s3id=solfege/Re;
insert into s3notes (s3id, s3val) values (color/Red, ff 00 00);
select * from s3notes where s3id=color/Red;
delete from s3notes where s3id=color/Red;
You can name the table anything you want, but the fields must be named s3id and s3val, and s3id must be the primary key.
Enhancements:
- More flexible schema, CREATE SERVER, and SELECT without WHERE are supported.

The Romalizer 0.61
The Romalizer project is a Tcl script to analyze your MAME roms and report errors. more>>
The Romalizer project is a Tcl script to analyze your MAME roms and report errors.
The ROMalizer is a Tcl script that examines your .zip files for MAME ROMs and lets you know if you have any extra data in them. It can also report incorrect filenames, CRCs, etc.
Enhancements:
- romalizer will no longer move the zipfiles it has fixed into your roms directory unless you specify the -M option. This will allow you to run romalizer as a normal user on a roms filesystem that is only writable by root or some other games administrator. If you use the -M option, romalzier will back up your old roms into the working directory as usual, if the -M option is not used, the new (fixed) roms will be located in the working directory.
- romalizer now fully supports two new styles of merging your roms. You may now use the -g or -G options to tell romalizer to use one of these new merging formats. When -g is used, romalizer will merge all clones into a single zip file. When -G is used, romalizer will create clone zip files that are capable of being run independantly of the parent romset. I have tested these new merging features on my pacman romset and it works beautifully, however more testing probably needs to be done on a complete romset for these options.
- neogeo games are now supported, romalizer will just ignore any CRC that matches 354029fc (ng-sfix.rom), 9036d879 (neo-geo.rom), and 97cf998b (ng-sm1.rom). Thus neogeo roms are now fully supported except for these 3 which should be placed in a file called neogeo.zip.
- romalizer requires usage of UnZip version 5.41 or higher due to a Y2K bug in UnZip. This patch will now check your unzip version and abort if you do not have a recent version of UnZip.
