JACK is a low-latency audio server, written for POSIX conformant operating systems such as GNU/Linux and Apples OS X.

Jack audio connection kit can connect a number of different applications to an audio device, as well as allowing them to share audio between themselves. Its clients can run in their own processes (ie. as normal applications), or can they can run within the JACK server (ie. as a "plugin").

JACK was designed from the ground up for professional audio work, and its design focuses on two key areas: synchronous execution of all clients, and low latency operation.

The Jabber::Connection package provides basic functions for connecting clients and components to a Jabber server.

Perl Audio Converter (PAC) is a tool for converting multiple audio types from one format to another. It supports MP2, MP3, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, Shorten, Monkey Audio, FAAC (AAC/M4A/MP4), Musepack (MPC), Wavpack (WV), OptimFrog (OFR/OFS), TTA, LPAC, Kexis (KXS), AIFF, AC3, Lossless Audio (LA), AU, SND, RAW, VOC, SMP, RealAudio (RA/RAM), WAV, and WMA.
It can also convert audio from the following video formats/extensions: RM, RV, ASF, DivX, MPG, MKV, MPEG, AVI, MOV, OGM, QT, VCD, VOB, and WMV. A CD ripping function with CDDB support, batch and playlist conversion, tag preservation for most supported formats, independent tag reading/writing, and extensions for Konqueror and amaroK is also provided.

Connection Manager allows you to pre-configure all this, and use a single consistant interface to get connected to all of these various systems.

You probably have some systems that require ssh and others that only support rdesktop. For some you may have to use vnc. Some may only support telnet. - Command Line Interface - Connection Manager will have a command line interface that allows for easy initiation of any connection. Some users, especially system administrators, will prefer this method of interaction
- Qt/KDE interface - Connection Manager will have a full featured graphical interface based on the Qt and KDE widgets. This interface will allow a user to manage their own connections, as well as maintain all of the various configuration files. You shouldnt have to use a text editor to edit configuration files unless you really want to
- Documentation - Connection Manager will be completely documented, including man pages, a user reference guide, and an administrator reference guide.
- Packaging - every effort will be made to make Connection Manager easy to install. Packages will be provided for a variety of platforms.
- Internationalization - Connection Manager will be designed and built so that it will be easy to add support for different languages.

MDF audio extracter project is a tool to extract audio data from MDF/MDS audio cd images to wav or raw files. Tracks will be extracted to the current directory and named track_[num].wav or track_[num].raw. Output can also be redirected to stdout to allow the audio data to be fed to an encoder or player directly.
You need both a .mds and .mdf file to be able to extract tracks. The .mds file contains the information about the tracks, while the .mdf file contains the actual data. They usually should have the same name (except for the extension ofcourse). This is case sensitive, so for example FileName is not the same as filename.
Usage: mdfextract [options] file.mds
Options:
-i output mds info instead of extracting
-r extract raw track data
-s output to stdout instead of file
-t < num > extract single track (num > 0)
-q quiet, no output
Version restrictions:
- Probably does not work on big endian archs.

Gnome Remote Connection Manager is a gnome application that stores information
about remote connections.
It gives you a GUI program to launch applications like telnet, shh, or rdesktop. It is highly configurable as to what type of applications it launches, so you are not limited to the three listed, for example I never thought of using it for ftp, but it would be easy to setup.
GRCM uses gconf to store information about connections.
Enhancements:

- Fixed a callback in the Connections Dialog that made the default arguments from the connection appear when selected.

Audio::Scrobbler is a Perl interface to audioscrobbler.com/last.fm.

The Audio::Scrobbler module provides a Perl interface to the track submission API of Last.fms AudioScrobbler - http://www.audioscrobbler.com/. So far, only track submissions are handled; the future plans include access to the various statistics.

Audio::LADSPA::Network is a semi automatic connection of Audio::LADSPA::* objects.

This module makes it easier to create connecting Audio::LADSPA::Plugin objects. It automatically keeps the sampling frequencies correct for all plugins, adds control and audio buffers to unconnected plugins and prevents illegal connections.

It also implements an observable-type API via Class::Publisher that can be used to recieve notifications of events in the network. Amongst other things, this makes writing loosely coupled GUIs fairly straightforward.
