Data is fetched from audioscrobbler web services. In this version it shows nine views: top artists, top tracks, top albums, systems recomendations and recent tracks, etc. Data is updated every five minutes or clicking on refresh button.

Use: First write your last.fm user name on the input box and click the apply button. After a moment, use arrows button for select the view.

Paranamer is a mechamism that allows Java programmers to access the parameter names of methods of Java classes. The project works with JDK 1.4 and later.

audio_rename can rename an audio file via information got via MP3::Tag.

SYNOPSIS

audio_rename -csR -@p "@a/@l/@02n_@t" .

renames all the audio files in this directory and its subdirectories into a 3-level directory structure given by Artist_Name/Album/Filename, with the basename of Filename being the 2-digit track number separated from the title by underscore.

audio_rename -KD *.wav

Reports how it would rename the *.wav files in this directory according to the default -p rule, but without protectiing "funny" characters. Will not do actual renaming.

audio_rename -sc *.mp3

Rename the *.mp3 files in this directory according to the default -p rule, translating cyrillic characters into Latin "equivalents", shortening the names of long components, and protecting "funny" characters.

audio_rename -p %a/%{d0}/%B -G */*.mp3

Assuming one-level subdirectory structure dir/filename.ext, finds files with extension .mp3, and "sorts" them into a two-level subdirectory structure; toplevel directory is based on the "artist" field, the remaing level is preserved.

audio_rename -p %a/%{d0}/%B -R .

Likewise, but does not suppose any particular depth of the current directory structure; only the filename and the most internal directory name are preserved.

audio_rename -p %a/%N -R .

Likewise, but all directory names (inside the current directory) are preserved.

The script takes a list of files (or, with -R option, directories) and renames the given files (or audio files in the directories) according to the rules specified through the command line options. File extensions are preserved (by default).

Some "companion" files (i.e., file with the same basename, and with an extension from a certain list) may be renamed together with audio files. A lot of care is taken to make the resulting file names as portable as possible: e.g., "funny" characters in file names are dumbed down (unless requested otherwise), long filename components may be shortened to certain limits.

A care is taken so that renaming will not overwrite existing files; however, on OSes which allow rename() to overwrite files, race conditions can ruin the best intentions. E.g., do not run several "overlapping" rename procedures simultaneously!

Last.fm Suggests for amaroK is a script that lets you quickly check what artists are similar to those that you already have in your playlist. The script uses last.fms suggestions feature without making you leave the amaroK interface.

This script will create links directly to the Last.fm page of the artist, and you dont have to be currently listening to anything to query last.fm for similar artists. Also, you can have the script list only artists that are not already in your collection... to make it even easier to find new music.

The default number of links to show is 12, but this can be changed using the configure option in the script manager.

Installation:

Use the built-in script installer for amarok on the tarball.

NameSpawner can be used to generate random names with a specific theme. Some of the themes included in the main distribution are: elvish, barbaric, dwarvish, angelic, demonic, and Tolkien-like.

Names are "spawned" via random walks on Markov Chains. New themes can be created using existing lists of names. Random walk settings can be tweaked to obtain more variance in the output names or more faithfulness to the original list of names.

This module enables to listen to mp3-streams according to certain security policies (enabled user). The mp3s do not have to be in the web-servers document root.

Version restrictions:
- The software only searches through 2 Directory structures. It is meant to go through: $mp3dir/Artist-Name/Album-Name/mp3-files.mp3 It however detects files in the Artist-Directory and shows these accordingly. As I didnt use this function, I dont know what it looks like though.

isdnMonitor saves call information (number, name, connection, and duration) in a MySQL database.

The project does inverse searches for German phone numbers, enables notifying clients via the Windows/SMB messaging service, and displays caller names on an LCD display via LCDproc.
