The internet is not the only door into a network. In this new days, wavelans are becoming popular, in old days, there were dial-in modems. But today, dial-in modems are still present in any company.

While tools for wardialing (scanning phone numbers for modems by dialing every number and checking if theres a carrier) are available for all operating systems for years, there were only a very few tools for trying to guess login/passwords against modem carriers, and they were all for MS-DOS only. Years ago, I wrote such a tool called LOGIN-HACKER, which is still in use by many people, just because theres no real choice.

About 5 years ago I completely moved from MS-DOS to UNIX (Linux and OpenBSD) so executing penetration tests became a pain in the ass for modem login hacking. Finally I wrote some scripts to hack into modem carriers for Unix as well.

To make it flexible and portable, I chose not to write my own terminal program and scripting language, like I did with LOGIN-HACKER. I just use simple Minicom scripts. And they are very effective! Also they could include more commands to interact with the operating system while the script is running, I made it possible, to autodetect almost any prompt, and detect if a login/password, or password only prompt was successfully passed or not.

This ecommerce solution gives you the edge over clunky perl (shudder!) or pain in the ... php installation nightmare and interpreted lameness. And phps awkward syntax tries to be like C (php is written in C, but study its history and come to your own conclusions about its usefulness for heavy traffic sites,) so why bother?

To be fair php is great for certain things but C is much better for mySQL cgis. All unix type OSs, including Linux/FreeBSD/OpenBSD and Solaris are written in C.

Dataxi project is a collection of tools for developing form-based information systems. Dataxi enables one to quickly build an application based on forms with which the user can access the underlying database in order to query, read, edit and write. Dataxi is the link between the user interface and the database.
Dataxi is an OS and enviroment independent product. It follows HTML and SQL standards to such extend that interoperability with all browsers and database backends should be supported.
Dataxi runs on all major operating systems as is or only with minor changes in ini -files.
The purpose of Dataxi is to take the pain away from the most boring phase in the data access application development: user interface designing and programming. Ones you have defined the layout of the form and location for columns, you are done, unless you prefer setting data validation and output format features and other niceties.

Tk::MainLoop;

A SplitFrame is a geometry manager for the two subwidgets instantiated against it. It has a sliding divider between them which, when moved, resizes them so that they each remain in contact with it.

The divider can be arranged vertically or horizontally at create time. The children our arranged in the order that they are instantiated, from left to right or from top to bottom. After instantiation, the order is fixed. The children should NOT be packed or placed, the split frame is responsible for this.

The split frame will adjust itself initially to the preferred size of the children.
It is a basic frame itself and can be packed or placed wherever needed in other frames or toplevel windows.

Albatross library is a small and flexible Python toolkit for developing highly stateful web applications.
The toolkit has been designed to take a lot of the pain out of constructing intranet applications although you can also use Albatross for deploying publicly accessed web applications.
In slightly less than 2600 lines of Python (according to pycount), you get the following:
An extensible HTML templating system similar to DTML that promotes separation of presentation and implementation for improved program maintainability. The templating system includes tags for:

- Macro definition and expansion,

Lookup tables to translate Python values to arbitrary template text. The ability to place Python code for each page in a dynamically loaded module, or to place each page in its own class in a single mainline.

The toolkit application functionality is defined by a collection of fine grained mixin classes. Object Craft developed Albatross because there was nothing available with the same capabilities which they could use for consulting work. For this reason the toolkit is important to Object Craft and so is actively maintained and developed.

Gimp::basewidget is a pragma to declare the superclass of a gtk widget.

SYNOPSIS

This pragma can (but does not need to) be used to declare the current package as a childclass of an existing Gtk widget class. The only "import tag" must be the name of the existing superclass.

The module automatically registers a subtype, calls a special callback at gtk initialization time and provides default implementations for some common methods (the list might grow in the future to enhance settor/gettor functionality).

The following methods are provided. All of them can be overriden in your package.
new

A simple generic new constructor is provided. It will simply call Gtk::Object::new with all the provided arguments.

GTK_INIT

This callback is called as early as possible after gtk was initialized, but not before. This can be used to register additional subtypes, argument types etc. It is similar to GTK_CLASS_INIT.

GTK_CLASS_INIT

Unlike the standard Gtk-callback of the same name, this method can be omitted in your package (while still being a valid Widget).

GTK_OBJECT_INIT

This callback can also be omitted, but this rarely makes sense.
