PXE Knife is a tool for booting various floppy based utilities via syslinux, allowing them to be booted off a CD, a hard drive, or over the network via PXE.
PXE Knife can be used with a number of commonly used tools such as hard drive manufacturers utilities, memory testers, Linux recovery disks, Windows password changers, pre-configured PXE Knoppix booters (just add DVD), and a number of other utilities.
PXE Knife takes advantage of syslinuxs menu system, so its easy to navigate.
Enhancements:
- Some utilities that werent booting were fixed.
- Layout changes were made to support CD ISO images, including support for putting a CD ISO image on downloads.
- A couple of programs that were known to be broken and werent worth fixing were removed.

ParaView 2.6.0
ParaView project is an application designed with the need to visualize large data sets in mind. more>>
ParaView project is an application designed with the need to visualize large data sets in mind. The goals of the ParaView project include the following:
- Develop an open-source, multi-platform visualization application.
- Support distributed computation models to process large data sets.
- Create an open, flexible, and intuitive user interface.
- Develop an extensible architecture based on open standards.
ParaView runs on distributed and shared memory parallel as well as single processor systems and has been succesfully tested on Windows, Linux and various Unix workstations and clusters. Under the hood, ParaView uses the Visualization Toolkit as the data processing and rendering engine and has a user interface written using a unique blend of Tcl/Tk and C++. Please go here for a detailed list of features.
ParaView was created by Kitware in conjunction with Jim Ahrens of the Advanced Computing Laboratory at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Contributors and developers of ParaView currently include: Kitware, LANL, Sandia National Laboratories, and Army Research Laboratory. ParaView is funded by the US Department of Energy ASCI Views program as part of a three-year contract awarded to Kitware, Inc. by a consortium of three National Labs - Los Alamos, Sandia, and Livermore. The goal of the project is to develop scalable parallel processing tools with an emphasis on distributed memory implementations. The project includes parallel algorithms, infrastructure, I/O, support, and display devices. One significant feature of the contract is that all software developed is to be delivered open source. Hence ParaView is available as an open-source system.
Main features:
- Handles structured (uniform rectilinear, non-uniform rectilinear, and curvilinear grids), unstructured, polygonal and image data.
- All processing operations (filters) produce datasets. This allows the user to either further process or save as a data file the result of every operation. For example, the user can extract a cut surface, reduce the number of points on this surface by masking, and apply glyphs (for example, vector arrows) to the result.
- Contours and isosurfaces can be extracted from all data types using scalars or vector components. The results can be colored by any other variable or processed further. When possible, structured data contours/isosurfaces are extracted with fast and efficient algorithms which make use of the special data layout.
- Vectors fields can be inspected by applying glyphs (arrows, cones, lines, spheres, and various 2D glyphs) to the points in a dataset. The glyphs can be scaled by scalars, vector component or vector magnitude and can be oriented using a vector field.
- A sub-region of a dataset can be extracted by cutting or clipping with an arbitrary plane (all data types), specifying a threshold criteria to exclude cells (all data types) and/or specifying a VOI (volume of interest - structured data types only)
- Streamlines can be generated using constant step or adaptive integrators. The results can be displayed as points, lines, tubes, ribbons, etc., and can be processed by a multitude of filters.
- The points in a dataset can be warped (displaced) with scalars (given a user defined displacement vector) or with vectors (unavailable for non-linear rectilinear grids).
- With the array calculator, new variables can be computed using existing point or cell field arrays. A multitude of scalar and vector operations are supported.
- Data can be probed at a point or along a line. The results are displayed either graphically or as text and can be exported for further analysis.
- ParaView provides many other data sources and filters by default (edge extraction, surface extraction, reflection, decimation, extrusion, smoothing...) and any VTK filter can be added by providing a simple XML description (VTK provides hundreds of sources and filters, see VTK documentation for a complete list).
Enhancements:
- This release adds parallel uniform rectilinear grid volume rendering (vtkImageData).
- It introduces new algorithms for parallel unstructured grid volume rendering.
- Support for hardware accelerated offscreen rendering using OpenGL framebuffers.
- Improved multi-block support.
- Improved AMR support.
- Animation saving with ffmpeg.
- Filters have been added for FLUENT, OpenFOAM, MFIX, LSDyna, and AcuSolve.
- A gradient filter for unstructured data.
- Many other enhancements and bugfixes.

Adrian 2.0
Adrian project is a RPG using SDL and OpenGL. more>>
Adrian project is a RPG using SDL and OpenGL.
Story Line:
Loacated In the deserts of Nevada, Area 51 the eternally mysterious facilities of the United States Army have been taken over by an evil scientist with the help of his genetically engineered creatures.
He plans to destroy the world using the the Intercontinental Balistic missiles (ICBMs) which have been lying unarmed in the desert since the end of cold war. He plans to arm these missiles and launch an attack on the world resulting in a Nuclear Holocaust.
The Area is heavily guarded, and attacks by air have been ruled out due to the State-of-the-art Anti Aircraft Battery.
The only hope of the world is Adrian. He has successfully completed many commando operations in Vietnam and Afghanistan.
As the Hero is dropped off, he gets the information that the ICBMs are being armed. The standard Arming and launch sequence takes some time. This is all the time Adrian has got to stop the ICBMs from lifting off from their silos. Once Launched, ICBMs cannot be recalled or destroyed.
Version restrictions:
- 1) Takes a lot of time to quit once the mission is sucessful.
- 2) The sound doensnt work properly on some of the systems :(( we are not sure about the reason.. if any of you know about it... plz.. send us...

Perilar 0.4
Perilar is a fast, simple computer role-playing game (CRPG), with an epic quest! more>>
Perilar is a simple, fast computer role-playing game (CRPG), with an epic quest! You will cross a vast monster-infested wilderness to the dungeons to recover ancient weapons and artifacts, then to the dragons lairs, then face the final challenge...
Version 0.4 is a beta release for designing the gameplay, and future versions will have additional art, music, and sound effects.
Save Game Warning: Savefiles from previous versions will not be compatible with later versions until 1.0. At that point, Ill make sure they are always forward-compatible, but it hampers rapid development until then. Sorry for the trouble, but at least youll get to see the new world features in each version!
History
Over a thousand years ago, the world was a peaceful but primitive place. Humans lived in tribal societies, rarely warred, and there were few dangerous animals and no monsters. Your kingdom, Perilar, was one of the safest, as it was protected by four great dragons of Air, Earth, Fire, and Water.
Where the Vampire King came from, nobody knows. He appeared in the far north and turned peaceful farmers into berserker raiders. After conquering the island kingdom of Oradon, he turned their druids to necromancy, raising armies of the dead to war on the next kingdom. Kingdom after kingdom fell, and in each, the people were slain and raised as undead warriors to assault the next kingdom.
As the army of the undead approached Perilar, the dragons closed the kingdom off with a magical seal. For a thousand years, the kingdom has been trapped inside, and none know the fate of the outside world.
In recent times, the seals have begun to fail. The Dragons have not been seen in centuries. Undead and monsters march in towards the castle of King Phalan and the village of Perilar, home to the last free people in the world. A great hero must do something about this, and you are determined to be that hero!

Cryptcat 1.2.1
Cryptcat is the standard netcat enhanced with twofish encryption with ports for WIndows NT, BSD and Linux. more>>
Cryptcat is the standard netcat enhanced with twofish encryption with ports for WIndows NT, BSD and Linux. Twofish is courtesy of counterpane, and cryptix.
TCP/IP swiss army knife extended with twofish encryption - Cryptcat is a simple Unix utility which reads and writes data across network connections, using TCP or UDP protocol while encrypting the data being transmitted. It is designed to be a reliable "back-end" tool that can be used directly or easily driven by other programs and scripts. Also, it is a feature-rich network debugging and exploration tool, since it can create almost any kind of connection you would need and has several interesting built-in capabilities.
Enhancements:
- Thanks for the contributions: linux 7.0 build fixes, tricky bug fixes, -k option, OpenBSD/FreeBSD compiles, directory friendly zips & tars, including MSVC++ makes.
- Since release alot of people have been submitting changes (many times for the same thing). Ive been doing my best to keep up, we are trying to get this up on sourceforge, but there seems to be some sort of "approval" process that makes it unclear if that will actually happen.
- So, if you have submitted something, and its not here, let me know. If youve submitted a change, and its here with someone elses name, that just means someone else got the same change in before you.

Dominion 2.8.2
Dominion is a multi-playerworld simulation and role-playing game. more>>
Dominion is a multi-playerworld simulation and role-playing game. Each user controls a nation, making economic, political and military decisions for it.
This is a world simulation game developed initially by students at SUNY at Stony Brook, and then by students at Stony Brook and other universities. The intention is to write a game which offers the role playing potential and complexity of relations found in conquer (written by Ed Barlow, then picked up by Adam Bryant). The plan is to
extend the game by offering general descriptions of many features (such as races, magic spells, armies, spirits and technology powers). For example, the races of the world are not limited to 4 hard-coded races, but are described in a file which can be modified at any point in the game by the Game Master. The same goes for army and spirit types.
Dominion is *not* another version of conquer; things work quite differently, and we have *never* looked at the conquer source. Still, we acknowledge this most creative game which gave us our inspiration. In September 1990, the author of conquer version 5 has heard of many of the features of dominion, and has included them in conquer version 5. He has acknowledged that these ideas come from Dominion.
The Game Master is given a nation, but this nation is sort of "fragile", since it has no sectors, and such stuff. We should make it more solid, but meanwhile it is to be used mostly for its [E] command, which allows the Game Master (who logs into the game as "Gamemaster") to change the properties of a sector or of a nation.
Dominion development started in the spring of 1990, when Mark Galassi was running a game of conquer for graduate and undergraduate students at at Stony Brook. After the data file kept crashing, and a whole lot of inconsistencies were discovered, and we found that the source was too complex to be fixed, we decided to write our own replacement. Ed Barlow did a great job with conquer, and it is a great game, but it
was his first C program, and people who added to it kept the endless case statements, and the special cases, and worked on new features rather than re-writing. The original name of Dominion was Stony Brook World (sbw), but it has been named Dominion since version 1.02.
In many ways Dominion was a teaching project intended to teach many Stony Brook undergraduate CS majors to work on a large software development project. Once the project reached a certain size, people from other universities joined in the development.
One goal of dominion is that the ruler of a nation should always have many choices available on how to invest resources, each one presenting strong but distinct advantages. Conquer contains both a good and a bad example of this: you can invest metal in cities, ships or armies. Either way you get advantages, and you have to choose. On the other hand, jewels are really not used for much else than getting magic powers. You can also use them to support monsters, but that is a different order of magnitude, and few players get the monsters. In dominion, there should be several decisions you can make to invest all your resources.
Kevin Hart has been working on the CN code which allows the computer to play various nations. Starting with version 1.05, the computer-played CNs have begun posing a real challenge in the game.
