MM3-WebAssistant Private 2009

MM3-WebAssistant Private 2009

Archives visited web pages with your browser to be used on- and offline. Offline each page is available with its original URL. There is no difference between surfing in the internet or archive. You can even use your bookmarks offline. Efficient use of the archive by marking and highlighting words. This proxy offline browser allows mobile users to access internet information when they dont have internet access. An ideal addition to every browser! more>>

MM3-WebAssistant Private - The offline browser is a personal proxy server sitting behind your regular browser (Firefox, IE, Safari, Opera - whatever!), silently and speedily handling all the network traffic. Unlike most offline browsers with this concept, you dont have to specifically tell WebAssistant to capture a website - it remembers everything you see, automatically adding new pages to the cache. WebAssistant updates your cached pages (in the background) so youve always got the latest version to hand. Theres no difference between surfing the web and surfing your archive; you can even use your bookmarks or search your pages offline when you dont have a network connection.

Your Benefits:

Work offline (train, plane, beach - wherever you like) without worrying that you have the info you need. Reduces the pressure of knowing what to save, and the necessity for repeating browsing sessions looking for something that was missed.

Incorporate the web into presentations or talks where you dont have internet access. You can sure youll always have the page you need with WebAssistant.

Mobile users have the flexibility of accessing information from the web without having to worry about expensive access points. Shun overpriced wifi access ports - or at least only pay for what you really need.

Important Features:

Automatically archive all pages visited.

Accelerates in the web online browsing or updates the archive.

No difference between on- and offline browsing.

Links to resources of cache archives are marked for quick navigation.

Compare HTML pages from internet and archive. The changes are highlighted.

Browse and interactive navigation in the original hierarchy of downloaded pages.

Burn a site (or many sites) to CD for backup or archive.

Supports the protocols HTTP and FTP.

Supplied with a detailed manual, a simple and completely comprehensive installation and deinstallation.

The reader is an ideal addition to every browser!

astGUIclient 2.0.3

astGUIclient is a GUI client application for the Asterisk open-source PBX. more>>
astGUIclient is a GUI client application for the Asterisk open-source PBX.
This is a suite of programs that are designed to interact with the Asterisk Open-Source PBX Phone system at a client computer level to extend the functionality of your phone and system.
The suite of software is designed to work with an Asterisk system that has Zap(T1/E1/PSTN),IAX or SIP trunks and SIP/IAX/Zap phones.
The main GUI application, astGUIclient, is a set of PHP web-based scripts utilizing Javascript and XMLHTTPRequest functions that work through a browser to give real-time information and functionality with nothing more than an internet browser on the client computer.
Another component included with the astGUIclient package is the VICIDIAL auto-dialer. This is a list dialer(another real-time web-client) that can be added to Asterisk and is highly configurable with detailed logging. VICIDIAL can dial one-call-at-a-time or you can put it in auto-dial mode and it acts as a predictive dialer. VICIDIAL also can function as an ACD for inbound calls or for Closer calls coming from VICIDIAL fronters and even allows for remote agents that may only have a phone.
The software suite also includes a from-scratch software installation document, full English and Spanish versions of the web-clients and admin pages, and the Asterisk Central Queue System(ACQS) which allows for optimized and streamlined Asterisk integration.
This group of applications is designed to run on top of just about any version of Asterisk so no messing around with the Asterisk source code is necessary. For more information see the system requirements. astGUIclient is not an Asterisk configuration utility, it is an end-user Graphical User Interface.
All astGUIclient software elements are distributed freely through the GPL with no warranty.

Provides an ?instant? ten station Internet cafe. It is the fastest, simplest, and most portable way to provide sponsored Internet kiosks for conferences, trade shows, and conventions. By adding extra video cards, up to ten users can simultaneously browse the Internet, send email, and run a wide variety of business and productivity software, independently, with no significant loss in performance. Each workstation requires only a standard monitor, USB keyboard and mouse. This reduces hardware, software, and maintenance costs, which lowers the total cost of ownership by as much as ninety per cent. Furthermore, only one IP address is required, saving substantially on costly service fees at conference, trade show, and convention venues. It offers full public access protection and is virtually immune to all viruses. In short, Userfuls 1-Box Cafe provides affordable, worry-free, and brandable-by-sponsor, computer stations for meetings, conventions, conferences, and trade shows.

H2O Rotisserie is a collaborative course management and structured discussion system.

H2O is a system that supports gathering people around ideas.

In addition to the traditional features of learning management systems, H2O includes support for collaboration between projects through the sharing of syllabus elements and through joint discussions between projects.

It also supports Rotisserie-structured discussions, which provide an alternative to traditional online discussion boards by structuring the timing and flow of discussions.

It can be used as a traditional course management platform, but it can also be used for more informal projects centered around the exploration of a set of ideas, whether the project be a conference, an ongoing public discussion, or a traditional academic course.

SharedAppVnc 1.0

SharedAppVnc 1.0

SharedAppVnc is a remote collaboration tool. more>>
SharedAppVnc is a remote collaboration tool. SharedAppVnc project allows sharing of applications between remote participants. In a typical usage scenario, two or more remote collaborators would run SharedAppVnc on their desktop computers while participating in a phone or conference call.

After establishing SharedAppVnc connections, possibly through ssh-tunnels, they would be able to share (replicate) windows between the remote desktops. The shared windows could optionally be controlled by the remote viewers, or they could be set to view-only.

SharedAppVNC is based on VNC (Virtual Network Computer), but with a modified VNC protocol that allows for window sharing. The main advantage of SharedAppVnc over traditional VNC is its ability to share individual windows rather than the entire desktop. Users typically have some applications which should remain private, such as email, and some applications they would like to share. Normal VNC is only able to share a users entire desktop and thus does not lend itself well to a combination of shared and private data.

SharedAppVnc has two components: a server for sharing windows and a client for viewing windows. The SharedAppVnc Server runs on a collaborators desktop computer and allows them to select which windows from the desktop to share. Only windows they select will be visible to the other collaborators.

The SharedAppVnc Viewer runs on the other collaborators computers and allows them to receive the shared windows. Typically collaborators will run both the Server and Viewer so that they can share and receive windows. One nice feature of the SharedAppVnc Viewer is that it puts each received window in its own frame which can be resized or positioned independently of the size or position of windows on the server or the other clients. Both the Server and Viewer can listen for or initiate connections.

SharedAppVnc versions are currently available for Linux and Mac OS X platforms. We are in the process of adding support for Windows OS.

Usage:

The Linux version of SharedAppVnc requires running three pieces of software: the server, viewer and control applet. The server, which allows windows to be shared, will be started automatically when the X11 server starts (X11 must first be configured to use SharedAppVnc).

The viewer is a java application that is started from the command line. It receives and displays shared windows. The control applet is a GUI that lets the user control the server. It lets the user select which windows to share or hide, or which viewers to connect to.

DMAring 0.9

DMAring 0.9

DMAring project is a novel generic network interface card driver architecture. more>>
DMAring project is a novel generic network interface card driver architecture which works in hybrid interrupt-polling mode to deliver superior real-time performance on Linux, Redhat Linux or Linux-RTAI-LXRT (a real-time co-kernel for Linux with user level extension).

Existing Linux drivers are inefficient, they saturate the CPU at a much lower packet rates than the maximum wire line packet rate that is possible. But with this driver, vanilla network cards can be used for high speed packet capturing. This driver improves the packet capturing speed by 7 to 10 times, and the real-time packet delivery response by 500 to 5000 times over existing drivers and alternate approaches (HIP, NAPI, pfring, check the references in the papers for performance comparisons [1, 2, 3]), depending on whether Redhat Linux or RTAI is used. Thus this obviates the need for expensive high capacity hardware, specialized network data acquisition cards and systems (for example from Endace).

This project contain basic source codes, which other developers can use/adapt for their applications, and three published conference papers [1, 2, 3] describes the architecture and establishes its benefits. One of the papers (at SANE 2006) also documents the detailed architecture and provides guidelines to modify any Linux network interface driver (Donald Becker style drivers).

Earlier I had received lot of mail request from networking, network security/monitoring domain people, to get these codes or modified specific network drivers. I am looking forward that some developer will take up this project, churn out driver modifications for the most common net work cards and share with others. I will continue to add other drivers, and libpcap library modifications when I get more time.

Anybody willing to know the issues involved in real-time Linux or looking for real-time networking solutions can take a look at my Masters thesis. I found RTAI with LXRT to be a very tractable, good performance, cheap (free!) real-time Linux option. My thesis contains some useful performance related discussions on this.

palaver 0.5

palaver is a multi-user chat component for Jabber and XMPP servers. more>>
palaver is a multi-user chat component for Jabber and XMPP servers. The intention for this project is to support all features of JEP-0045 as well as the relevant extended discovery features of JEP-0128.

palaver is written in Python using the Twisted framework for Internet applications. It is licensed under the open source MIT license.

The main inspiration for writing palaver was to replace JCR mu-conference. While mu-conference has served the community well, its lack of maintenance has left many searching for a replacement.

Currently all basic multi-user chat features are supported, including some extra things like ban lists. More features are on the way, and the intention is to fully support the entire protocol.

palaver is licensed under the MIT open source license. It is free to use, modify and distribute by commercial and non-commercial users and developers.

The goal of this project is to create a LiveCD to demonstrate GNOME. more>>
The goal of this project is to create a LiveCD to demonstrate GNOME. The initial motivation was to be able to send a GNOME LiveCD to journalists and news agencies so that they can test and talk about GNOME without installing it, but others have expressed interest as well.

The infrastructure for this will be flexible, so that it can be easily customized and re-targetted- for example, to distribute a version with a custom splashscreen for a specific conference, to change the language for distribution by non-en_US gnome groups, or to change the software set to market to different groups (artists, developers, etc.)
