Free antivirus scanner 3.2.1 software for linux

Aegis project is a virus scanner for Linux, Unix and Windows with a simple and intuitive user interface.

Aegis supports scanning of subdirectories, hidden files and .zip and .tar archive files, and drag-and-drop of files from the Nautilus file browser, or your Gnome desktop. When a virus is detected you can choose to delete, quarantine or rename the file.

Activism Network is a Web-based system that allows activists or anyone else to share contacts, resources (files), events, email lists, and campaigns. etc.

It uses Google Maps.

It is similar to Friendster/MySpace, but more focussed on networking and less on the social aspect.

This area is for developers and users of the software who want to understand how it works, provide feedback, download the source code, report bugs, request features, or otherwise help out.

You can get an account, and then start commenting and writing your own pages.

AVScan is an AntiVirus scanner front end for ClamAV.

A front end for the Clam AntiVirus scanner using Endeavour Mark II. Features a scan list for frequently scanned locations, freshclam update support, and command line calling from Endeavour.

Update Scanner provides an extension which monitors web pages for updates.

Right-click on any page, and select "Scan Page for Updates".

You can choose how often the site will be checked for changes, and whether to ignore minor updates.

When a change is detected, a notification window is displayed. Click the blue up-arrow on the bottom status bar to show the Update Scanner sidebar. Webpages that have been updated are shown in bold.

Double-click any item to open the website.

Viralator is a Perl script that virus scans HTTP/FTP downloads request on a UNIX server after passing through the Squid proxy server.
Even when I implemented virus protection for my network email server we still continued to get the odd virus. Most of the viruses came from people using free webmail accounts like Hotmail or Yahoo and downloading the infected attachments to their machines or through downloading junk.
Rather than block access to the users I decided to look at how we could better protect the network. I looked at a couple of different products both comercial and free but they were either too expensive or did not meet my needs.
That is how Viralator was born. Viralator Proxy Virus Scanner is licenced under the GPL.
Viralator should work in any UNIX system that uses Apache and Squid servers. We have reports about successful instalations on:

The original concept for Viralator came from the Viromat project. Without Viromat the Viralator project would not have had a starting point. We can also thank Ralph Meyer for badgering me into releasing the script under the GPL.
Enhancements:
- Parenthesis are included on the regular expression used to validate URLs.
- The character set checking step, which was not working before last patch released, has been fixed.

Multi Purpose Scanner is a simple scanner written in C that starts a number of child processes, connects to a list of IP addresses, and logs a certain number of characters to standard out or a file.
Low band use is one consecuence of a single connection per child that recieve an only defined num of characters.

Camero is a three-part system for creating and running webcam portals. It is made of a daemon, an admin tool, and a portal CGI.
Camero 3.2 comes with the following components:
camero.py
The daemon. This component is what runs in the background, checking the cams, archiving images and updating the database.
admin.py
The admin tool cgi. This component allows you to add/remove cams, view images in the archive, edit settings, basically administrate everything
PortalConfig.py
The main portal configuration file.
PySP.py
The portal front end cgi. This processes all the portal template files.

Where the classes for the portal are kept

db.conf
The config file for your database. This is only an example, you will need to configure and obtain info for your specific database installation.
getImage.py
This is a cgi that allows for you to obfuscate the path to your images.

tools/deDupe.py
This is a tool that will search through all your archived images and remove any duplicates. It is not normally needed as camero will catch sequential duplicates, however users have a way of messing things up no matter how hard you try.
tools/import.py
This tool allows you to import your previous Camero config. It only imports cams but it can save a lot of entry time.

This tool will check your environment and let you know if everything checks out
tools/upgradeDB_(version).py
This tool will upgrade the database structure from any previous version to that of the current one.
tools/convertDB_(version).py
This will convert a database initialized by the free distribution to the structure of the commercial distribution (comes with commercial ver)

This will check to see if the camero daemon is running, and if not, restart it.
