iTRANS Amarok Script is an amaroK script to get the lyrics of hindi songs using the services provided at http://www.giitaayan.com

Idea is to get the iTRANS encoded lyrics in the ISB files and then convert them into UTF-8 to display in the context window. If more than one hit then give the user an option to select the best hit among them.

AmarokFS Startup Script simply provides a shortcut for starting AmarokFS ("Amarok Full Screen") from within Amarok itself.

Installation:

Download the .amarokscript.tar file and install it with Amaroks script installer.

Usage:

Upon startup, the script will automatically look for the "amarokFS" executable in your PATH, and if not found, will prompt you for its location.

Once the script is running, you will have an "AmarokFS" menu entry in your playlist popup menu; now simply select "Run Amarok Full Screen" to activate AmarokFS.

The script can also be configured to use an amarokFS executable other than the one detected in the users PATH.

AmaroK XUL Remote is an amaroK script that allows you to control amaroK from any Firefox browser on your network.
Main features:
- basic player manipulation: play, pause, stop, next, previous, seek, volume
- playlist view, plays a track when clicking on it
- collection browser with filtering, support for compilations
- drag and drop tracks, album and artists from the collection to the playlist

AmarokMPC is an Amarok script for synchronizing the locally played music with an instance of the Music Player Daemon (MPD, http://www.musicpd.org).

This task and usecase is somewhat limited:

If you have the same music on different computers (e.g. mounted with nfs) and want to play the same music on both computers at the same time, then this script might help you.

The current playlist is transferred from Amarok to mpd and synchronized including events like play, stop, skip, pause. Technically it works by translating the local paths to the remote equivalents to handle different mount points.

This script comes in handy when changing places while listening to music. You can now listen to your Amarok as long as a server with MPD and a same set of music is around.

Amarok announce is a small perl script for Konversation which will display what you play in amarok.

Place the script in ~/.kde/share/apps/konversation/scripts, make sure its executeable, then add in Konversation an Alias "amarok /exec amarok.pl" then you can use it by typing /amarok in a channel.

Amarok Skype mood poster is an Amarok script that will update skypes mood field with your current playing song.

AmarokScreenSaver is an Amarok script which displays information about the currently playing song as a screensaver.

I often use my computer to play music when I am having visitors or when I am just not in front of the monitor. I wanted some way to still be able to see what song was playing. As my TV is connected to the computer I decided to make a screensaver that would do just this. (you dont need to even own a TV to use this script, but my TV is in my living room and my computer is not...)

This script creates an image based on the currently playing song in Amarok, then changes your screensaver to KSlideshow and tells it to display this particular image. It restores your original screensaver settings when you stop the script or exit Amarok.

The script has some basic settings configurable via a dialog:

Party / safe - mode:

The script can be configured to lock the screensaver, you will need your password to return to the desktop. This is great if you are having a party and dont want everybody to use the computer for surfing or changing track every other minute.

DPMS:

I use display power management to turn off my monitor after a given period of time. This did not work well with my idea. Therefore I created an option to turn off DPMS, and turning it back on when the script is exited or Amarok is shut down.

Rotate image placement:

To prevent damage to the screen more than one image (three) can be created and the screensaver will randomly display these images.
