Visitors is a very fast web log analyzer for Linux, Windows, and other Unix-like operating systems. It takes as input a web server log file, and outputs statistics in form of different reports. The design principles are very different compared to other software of the same type:
No installation required, can process up to 150,000 lines of log entries per second in fast computers (20MB/s with my log files average length).
Designed to be executed by the command line, output html and text reports. The text report can be used in pipe to less to check web stats from ssh.
Support for real time statistics with the Visitors Stream Mode introduced with version 0.3.
To specify the log format is not needed at all. Works out of box with apache and most other web servers with a standard log format (see the documentation for more information on the format).
Its a portable C program, can be compiled on many different systems. Binaries for Windows systems are in the Download section of this page.
The produced html report doesnt contain images or external CSS, is self-contained, you can send it by email to users.
Visitors is free software (and of course, freeware), under the terms of the GPL license. You dont need to pay to use it. ISPs may take advantage of the high processing speed.

AudiStat is a PHP application for generating and showing web statistics for your website.
With AudiStat you can get statistics about hit counts, referring page, visitors country, visitors domain name, etc. The statistics presentation page can be customized with your html code.

Illustrated project is aiming to provide a way to share picture and photos in a structured way. Therefore just like most other web galleries, a title and a description can be added to each photo. But pictures can also be presented as groups within chapters, where they illustrate the text.
I started developping it because although there are many Web galleries already, none was made to do what I wanted to do. The project is very young and therefore much features are too be implemented.
What is Illustrated, and what it is not
- Illustrated is made to share pictures with others with a structured description.
- It supports multilanguage description: you can either add a single description, or add various descriptions with < intl-xx > tags (for instance: < intl-en >English description< /intl-en >). The language used will then depend on the browser settings.
- Within a same album, pictures are shared by chapters, allowing you to storytell what those photos are meaning, just like you would do if you showed to your friends photos of a trip.
- Illustrated is not made to upload loads of pictures for visitors to browse just like with a picture viewer. You could do that, but I would rather recommend you Gallery or Coppermine.
- It is not made to post daily photos and let visitors write some comments. Comments are not supported, and I do not plan to implement this. If you are looking for a photoblog, I would rather recommend you Pixelpost.
How to install it
Illustrated should work on any system as long as PHP, MySQL, and ImageMagick or GD are present. Since it is still at an early development stage, it does not include yet a guided installation, so you will have to set it up manually. This is quite simple though.
Edit the connect.php and index.php files, then just upload all PHP and CSS files in a directory of your web space, and create a directory called pictures with permissions for writing.
Create the database. To do so, if you have access to a command line, just run the following line with your own MySQL login and password.
mysql -ulogin -ppassword < illustrated.sql
If you have access to a phpMyAdmin interface, you can use it to import the file. Just pay attention to the maximum file size.
At last, if you do not have other option left (which would be surprising), you can write a PHP script to build the database. I will write one later.

PloneFilesZip allows your visitor download the files and images from folders in a single ZIP file.
loneFilesZip provides a new document action in all folderish contents (ATFolder, ...) that let the user download files (and images) contained in the fields of any AT based content (ATContentTypes and others) in that folder.
PloneFilesZip works - out of the box - with any content type which schema has a FileField, an ImageField or any field that acts like a FileField, as the AttachmentField.
Customizing (site manager)
.Choose the content types that can profide files to the user among compatible types.
.Add Dublin Core information (RDF formatted) about the contents in the ZIP archive.
.Tweak the condition/permission to let the user download.
.Customizing (content type developers)
Some content types have schemas that do not "show" the compatible fields through the standard AT API. In order to let these content types provides files in a ZIP archive, developers can add type adapter classes in the PloneFilesZip types registry. An adapter for PloneArticle is less than 20 Python lines.
Some custom field types may provide files. In order to let the content types built with such fields provide files to a ZIP archive, developers can add field adapter classes in the PloneFilesZip fields registry.
Enhancements:
- Fix a bug in file retrieving. Append arg (full=True) while creating BaseUnit to make sure we get the entire file and not a chunk file
- Fix a bug on DeepZipStructurePolicy:getZipFilePath (add **kwargs on method)

Daily Diabetes Diet Counter project is a nice little Javascript tool that allows your web site visitors to count their calorie, starch, vegetable, fruit, milk, meat and fat intake throughout the day.
Since it runs on the visitors computer, they can use it off-line as well. The Daily Diabetes Diet Counter allows the visitor to choose their regular calorie intake level, and then determines the maximum number of food types they should have during the day, according to the the National Diabetes Information Clearinghouse.
Main features:

pam_siegho is a pam module that helps to defend your computer by closing the login prompts for visitors that repeatedly try to log in unsuccesfully.

Installation:

Just run configure and do the ordinary "make install". Differences between platforms will automatically be handled by the configure script. Let me know if its not.

Usage:

pamtester requires at least three arguments to operate. The first argument is "service", which provides the name of the service. The second one is "user", which provides the name of the user to handle with PAM. The last one is "operation", which specifies the operation for PAM to perform.

Operation may be specified more than once. In that case the operations are done
in the order of occurrence.

Any operation may also be followed by the option flags that are provided between the pair of parenthesis. Flags are all named and combinable or inversible with bitwise operators; "|" (OR), "&" (AND), "^" (XOR) and "~" (NOT) are accepted.
