Redirection Tool 1.1
Redirection Tool is a product for Plone used for storing references to moved content to enable redirects. more>>
Redirection Tool is a product for Plone used for storing references to moved content to enable redirects.
The Redirection Tool can be used for storing references to moved content to enable redirects, or it can be used for giving objects multiple URLs (aliases). If a page is not found, the tool looks at its list of redirects to see if there is a match, and if so, it redirects to that page.
Future plans include a more intelligent 404 handling, where the tool would either search for alternative pages based on the components of the requested URL and automatically redirect if there is only one hit, otherwise display a limited number of hits, or alternatively chop off URL components until it finds an object that can be published to the user.
Enhancements:
- Added Plone 2.1 compatibility.

LooperNG 1.3
LooperNG is an intelligent event routing daemon. more>>
LooperNG is an intelligent event routing daemon. Primarily used for Network Management, this application can be used to accomplish a variety of tasks related to logging and alerting.
It is a modularised, rules-based event routing system that is flexible and easy to use. It is primarily deployed by network / security management groups as a central event gateway or an SNMP trap collection and forwarding station.
LooperNG events can be in the form of SNMP traps, Syslog Alerts, lines in a Log File, Sockets etc. Events can be received and generated such that an event can arrive in one form (e.g., SNMP) and forwarded in another form (e.g., Syslog). LooperNG can also receive events from systems like Nagios, Snort, Mon etc. and forward to other systems like a MySQL database, Netcool/OMNIbus, or just send an e-mail. Modules for new types of events can be easily written.
LooperNG was designed to improve on some of the limitations Looper (muthanna.com/looper). It is built completely from scratch with a cleaner more scalable architecture and is based on the Perl language.
Main features:
- SNMP Trap forwarding, exploding and rewriting (enhancing).
- Event generation for demos, debugging, troubleshooting etc.
- Event Enrichment and Escalation.
- Intelligent routing, rerouting and processing of events and alerts.
- Monitoring logfiles, syslog events, intrusion events etc.
- Forwarding alert history to databases, logfiles etc.
- Used as ad-hoc Netcool Probes.
- Used to replace HP Openview NNMs trap collection features.
- Centralize alerts in a LooperDB database.

Java SQL Admin Tool 2.4.0
Java SQL Admin Tool allows you to manage a RDBMS via Java and JDBC. more>>
Admin is entirely written in Java. It uses Swing GUI Components and JDBC to connect to databases. It has been succesfully tested with MySQL, InstantDB, Oracle, Empress, and PostgreSQL.
You can have a tree view of the RDBMS or pick a single instance to have a look at its metadata. It allows you to create, modify, and drop tables and to create indices on a table. The dynamic form makes it easy to enter data into a certain table, and the guided query makes it easy to retrieve data from a table and to export it.
Java developers will probably enjoy the code generator doing an OO relational wrapper and a swing GUI for them. You can also export and import data and transport it from one DBMS to another.

Java Preferences Tool is a simple utility for Java developers and testers, in the spirit of Microsofts Registry Editor.
Java Preferences Tool allows you to view, edit, compare, and search Java preferences.
The program has traditional explorer-style interface, with tree view of current preferences in the left pane, and table view of keys and values for selected preference node in the right pane.
On start the program shows you the standard "user" and "system" preference trees. Use tabs to navigate between trees.
You can also create new (initially empty) trees. Populate it by creating nodes and associated properties manually, or by copy-paste operations from existing trees. Save them as XML files by using File|Save menu operation. Such files can be loaded again by using File|Open, into a newly created tabs.
Main features:
- Edit, create, remove preferences (key-value pairs) associated with preference nodes.
- Change the structure of preference tree: create, rename, remove, cut, copy, paste and eliminate nodes, merge trees.
- Compare structure and contents of trees.
- Search trees for patterns in node names, keys and values.
Enhancements:
- Minor feature enhancements and bugfixes.

Audio Tag Tool 0.12.3
Audio Tag Tool is a program to manage the tags in MP3 and Ogg Vorbis files. more>>
Audio Tag Tool is a program to manage the information fields in MP3 and Ogg Vorbis files, commonly called tags. It is available under the GNU General Public Licence (GPL).
Please send me any comments or bugs you find (email at the bottom)
Tag Tool can be used to edit tags one by one, but the most useful features are the ability to easily tag or rename hundreds of files at once, in any desired format.
The interface is arranged into two sections, with the list of available files on the left and a set of tabs on the right.
Each tab corresponds to one of the main operations Audio Tag Tool can do:
Tag Editor
- Lets you edit the tags individually.
Tag Multiple Files
- Here you can set the tags of multiple files at once. The tag fields can be set to a fixed value, filled in automatically from the files name, or left alone.
Clear Tags
- Allows you to remove the tags from multiple files at once. For MP3 files it lets you choose to remove only ID3v1 or ID3v2 tags.
Move/Rename Multiple Files
- Here you can rename multiple files at once and/or organize them into directories. File names can be based on the contents of the tag.
Create Playlists
- Generates playlists. Playlists can be sorted by file name or by any tag field.

Swing XML Authoring Tool 0.5.5
SwiXAT is a Swing-based authoring tool for the quick and easy development of GUI Java applications. more>>
Swing XML Authoring Tool is a Swing-based authoring tool for the quick and easy development of GUI Java applications.
It implements out-of-box a true MVC framework and uses XML to define the view (SwiXml is used as the XUL engine), BeanShell as a scripting language for the controller, and JXPath as the binding mechanism between the view and model.
Swing XML Authoring Tool provides a complete environment in which it is possible to almost write an entire Java Swing application without writing Java compiled code. The use of XPath makes it very simple to traverse the object tree of the applications business model.
It takes a lot of work to develop a Swing application, laying out and configuring GUI components, and then integrating them with the application functionality. SwiXAT addresses both of these issues by providing a framework based on a complete implementation of the MVC architectural pattern.
The benefits obtained by a such framework are the followings:
- Architectural Correctness: By adopting a true MVC (Model View Controller) based framework, it is very easy to correctly implement any UI application. Its not difficult to write a Java/Swing application, but whats very difficult is to build a good, well designed Swing application, where the adoption of the MVC paradigm permits to reduce the maintenance costs, thanks to the clean separation between the view and the application logic.
- Development Speed: The adoption of a framework reduces the development cost by providing out-of-box, well integrated and easy to use common features, like wizards, plugins, support for MDI interfaces, etc. Moreover, the use of XML to define the user interface, as well as the adoption of an interpreted scripting language, permits to implement the Code&Test development style, where the compilation time is reduced to zero.
- Code Reuse: The net separation between the view and the control logic permits to write reusable modules that can be combined in several manners. The developer is naturally induced to modularize the application and write reusable code, minimizing the effort of building new applications or adding new functionality to existing ones.
SwiXAT is all the above, and we hope youll appreciate our effort.
