Adrian project is a RPG using SDL and OpenGL.
Story Line:
Loacated In the deserts of Nevada, Area 51 the eternally mysterious facilities of the United States Army have been taken over by an evil scientist with the help of his genetically engineered creatures.
He plans to destroy the world using the the Intercontinental Balistic missiles (ICBMs) which have been lying unarmed in the desert since the end of cold war. He plans to arm these missiles and launch an attack on the world resulting in a Nuclear Holocaust.
The Area is heavily guarded, and attacks by air have been ruled out due to the State-of-the-art Anti Aircraft Battery.
The only hope of the world is Adrian. He has successfully completed many commando operations in Vietnam and Afghanistan.
As the Hero is dropped off, he gets the information that the ICBMs are being armed. The standard Arming and launch sequence takes some time. This is all the time Adrian has got to stop the ICBMs from lifting off from their silos. Once Launched, ICBMs cannot be recalled or destroyed.
Version restrictions:
- 1) Takes a lot of time to quit once the mission is sucessful.
- 2) The sound doensnt work properly on some of the systems :(( we are not sure about the reason.. if any of you know about it... plz.. send us...

Airfart 0.2.1

Airfart 0.2.1

AirFart is a wireless tool created to detect wireless devices, detect their signal strengths more>>
AirFart is a wireless tool created to detect wireless devices, calculate their signal strengths, and present them to the user in an easy-to-understand fashion. It is written in C/C++ with a GTK front end. Airfart supports all wireless network cards supported by the linux-wlan-ng Prism2 driver that provide hardware signal strength information in the "raw signal" format (ssi_type 3). Airfart has a modular n-tier architecture with the data collection at the bottom tier and a graphical user interface at the top.
Following suit with the major players in the wireless arena, we decided the air prefix best categorizes airfart. Further, re-arrange the letters in traf and you can get fart. So, our mission is to sniff out wireless devices who broadcast a scent.
We hope our name isnt offensive. 99% of the people we have come in contact with have thought the name is clever and funny. Remember, no one is forcing you to use it...
Enhancements:
- Updated interface.c and Makefile, now graphics are located in /usr/share/pixmaps/airfart
- Updated vendor.c, now manuf file is located in /usr/share/airfart;
- need to do make install before running airfart
- Added initial Gentoo ebuild file; still needs work
- Number of packets received per ethernet address is now stored
- Tweaked Makefile to not bail out if directories already exist
- Added the star to the about entry in help
- Added GUI support for Packet Count
- Added a column for numerical (percentage) strength
- Added support for a config file and a basic preferences box
- Changes do not yet affect behaviour of the program

Particle Simulation 0.9.1

Particle Simulation 0.9.1

Particle Simulation is a simulation of spraying up to 60k particles in realtime. more>>
Particle Simulation project is a simulation of spraying up to 60k particles in realtime.
Particle Simulation is a playful simulation game which allows you to spray particles into the "air". The number of simulated particles is only limited by the speed of your computer.
The particles dont interact with each other, but will bounce back from the ground and accelerate depending on a gravity constant.
This constant can be changed (along with a number of other parameters) in the source code or via commandline parameters.
Enhancements:
- Colors were adjusted and a new animation mode was introduced.
- Segmentation fault was fixed.

Search And Rescue 0.8.2

Search And Rescue 0.8.2

Search And Rescue project is an air rescue flight simulator. more>>
Search And Rescue project is an air rescue flight simulator. The player pilots rescue helicopters to rescue victims in various situations of distress.

Search and Rescue is a helicopter based air rescue flight simulator. It employs a simple flight dynamics engine that is targetted towards the "average" player. It is not designed to be a cutting-edge realistic simulator, but rather a flexable game that everyone can play and enjoy.

The history of the development of this game goes back to 1997, when Search and Rescue was created as an explorative to design for more complex 3D games using the OpenGL graphics library. Much of the effort in the development of this game came from Wolfpack Entertainment and many dedicated contributors (see credits below).

This game was ported to Windows early on in its development to ensure the portability of its graphics code. However the Win32 version lacked certain features due to differences in Windows design of its graphic, sound, and controller implementation.

The flight dynamics engine (FDE) features helicopter, aircraft, and tilt-rotor aircraft flight dynamics models (FDMs). It uses source-centered (as opposed to world-centered) mathimatical equations to simulate movement which mimicks but does not fundimentally follow standard physics equations. This simplifies the "flyability" of the aircrafts at a slight cost of realisim and lightens processor load.

The 3D visual models of the aircrafts and objects were created by a program called Vertex 3D, an OpenGL modeller designed to create 3D visual models that are optimized for OpenGL.

Each scene is a finite sized flat world, separated vertically by cloud layer(s) and centered at the origin with an artificial longitude and latitude offset applied to displayed positions.

Perilar 0.4

Perilar 0.4

Perilar is a fast, simple computer role-playing game (CRPG), with an epic quest! more>>
Perilar is a simple, fast computer role-playing game (CRPG), with an epic quest! You will cross a vast monster-infested wilderness to the dungeons to recover ancient weapons and artifacts, then to the dragons lairs, then face the final challenge...

Version 0.4 is a beta release for designing the gameplay, and future versions will have additional art, music, and sound effects.

Save Game Warning: Savefiles from previous versions will not be compatible with later versions until 1.0. At that point, Ill make sure they are always forward-compatible, but it hampers rapid development until then. Sorry for the trouble, but at least youll get to see the new world features in each version!

History

Over a thousand years ago, the world was a peaceful but primitive place. Humans lived in tribal societies, rarely warred, and there were few dangerous animals and no monsters. Your kingdom, Perilar, was one of the safest, as it was protected by four great dragons of Air, Earth, Fire, and Water.

Where the Vampire King came from, nobody knows. He appeared in the far north and turned peaceful farmers into berserker raiders. After conquering the island kingdom of Oradon, he turned their druids to necromancy, raising armies of the dead to war on the next kingdom. Kingdom after kingdom fell, and in each, the people were slain and raised as undead warriors to assault the next kingdom.

As the army of the undead approached Perilar, the dragons closed the kingdom off with a magical seal. For a thousand years, the kingdom has been trapped inside, and none know the fate of the outside world.

In recent times, the seals have begun to fail. The Dragons have not been seen in centuries. Undead and monsters march in towards the castle of King Phalan and the village of Perilar, home to the last free people in the world. A great hero must do something about this, and you are determined to be that hero!

@floats = $secspack->unpack_float($format, $float_string, @options);

@numbers = $secspack->unpack_num($format, $number_string, @options);

Generally, if a subroutine will process a list of options, @options, that subroutine will also process an array reference, @options, [@options], or hash reference, %options, {@options}. If a subroutine will process an array reference, @options, [@options], that subroutine will also process a hash reference, %options, {@options}. See the description for a subroutine for details and exceptions.

The subroutines in the Data::SecsPack module packs and unpacks numbers in accordance with SEMI E5-94. The E5-94 establishes the standard for communication between the equipment used to fabricate semiconductors and the host computer that controls the fabrication. The equipment in a semiconductor factory (fab) or any other fab contains every conceivable known microprocessor and operating system known to man. And there are a lot of specialize real-time embedded processors and speciallize real-time embedded operating systems in addition to the those in the PC world.

The communcication between host and equipment used packed nested list data structures that include arrays of characters, integers and floats. The standard has been in place and widely used in China, Germany, Korea, Japan, France, Italy and the most remote corners on this planent for decades. The basic data structure and packed data formats have not changed for decades.

This stands in direct contradiction to the common conceptions of many in the Perl community and most other communities. The following quote is taken from page 761, Programming Perl third edition, discussing the pack subroutine:

"Floating-point numbers are in the native machine format only. Because of the variety of floating format and lack of a standard "network" represenation, no facility for interchange has been made. This means that packed floating-point data written on one machine may not be readable on another. That is a problem even when both machines use IEEE floating-point arithmetic, because the endian-ness of memory representation is not part of the IEEE spec."

There are a lot of things that go over the net that have industry or military standards but no RFCs. So unless you dig them out, you will never know they exist. While RFC and military standards may be freely copyied, industry standards are usually copyrighted. This means if you want to read the standard, you have to pay whatever the market bears. ISO standards, SEMI stardards, American National Standards, IEEE standards beside being boring are expensive. In other words, you do not see them flying out the door at the local Barnes and Nobles. In fact, you will not even find them inside the door.

It very easy to run these non RFC standard protocols over the net. Out of 64,000 ports, pick a port of opportunity (hopefully not one of those low RFC preassigned ports) and configure the equipment and host to the same IP and port. Many times the software will allow a remote console that is watch only. The watch console may even be a web server on port 80. If there is a remote soft console, you can call up or e-mail the equipment manufacturers engineer in say Glouster, MA, USA and tell him the IP and port so he can watch his manchine mangle a cassette of wafers with a potential retail value of half million dollars.

SEMI E5-94 and their precessors do standardize the endian-ness of floating point, the packing of nested data, used in many programming languages, and much, much more. The endian-ness of SEMI E5-94 is the first MSB byte, floats sign bit first. Maybe this is because it makes it easy to spot numbers in a packed data structure.
The nested data has many performance advantages over the common SQL culture of viewing and representing data as tables. The automated fabs of the world make use of SEMI E5-94 nested data not only for real-time communication (TCP/IP RS-2332 etc) between machines but also for snail-time processing as such things as logs and performance data.

Does this standard communications protocol ensure that everything goes smoothly without any glitches with this wild mixture of hardware and software talking to each other in real time? Of course not. Bytes get reverse. Data gets jumbled from point A to point B. Machine time to test software is non-existance. Big ticket, multi-million dollar fab equipment has to work to earn its keep. And, then there is the everyday business of suiting up, with humblizing hair nets, going through air and other showers with your favorite or not so favorite co-worker just to get into the clean room. And make sure not to do anything that will scatch a wafer with a lot of Intel Pentiums on them. It is totally amazing that the product does get out the door.
