DREAM Tool is a generic framework that aims at providing a common semantic domain which can express several (real-time, power consumption, resource) constraints.
The semantic domain has an executable C++ model which has been semantically anchored to the hybrid automata formalism. Although the model of computation corresponds to hybrid automata, so far we have been successful in analyzing the models by conservative approximation using timed automata on moderate size systems.
To deal with large-scale examples the user has the ability to use the simulation/testing interface on the executable C++ model before implementing the system. We plan to extend the genetic algorithms to solve a large number of problems.
DREAM is a simulation and verification framework which provides a formal model and analysis of your system in less than a day. Systems in DREAM are specified using XML in a straightforward way. I hope you find it useful.
Real-time middleware provides dependable and efficient platforms supporting key functional and quality of service (QoS) needs of distributed real-time embedded (DRE) systems.
Key challenges in DRE system developments include safe composition of system components and mapping the functional specifications onto the target platform. Model-based technologies help address these issues by enabling design-time analysis and providing the means for the rapid evaluation of design alternatives with respect to end-to-end QoS properties, predictability and performance measures before committing to a specific platform.
The Distributed Real-time Embedded Analysis Method DREAM is an open-source tool and method for optimizing multiple quality of service (QoS) properties of distributed real-time embedded (DRE) systems. The project focuses on the practical application of formal analysis methods to real-time middleware to automate the verification, development, configuration, and integration of middleware-based DRE systems.
Enhancements:
- This version implemented several optimizations for improved model checking performance, resulting in impressive performance gains of at least 2-3 times.
- There are no known memory leaks present in the current release.
- Balanced AVL trees are now used, resulting in exponential speedups in several steps of the model checking method.
- XML Schema validation was implemented.
- Verification time reporting was upgraded to include data on the simulation speeds.
- Random simulation-based testing now provides an execution trace when a deadline is missed.

MyMiggy project is a KDE-based Amiga Emulator UI.

UAE is a superb piece of software but perhaps a little hard to configure for the newbie or someone who wants to see some action fast.

MyMiggy aims to provide a complete, functional user interface to UAE.

Configurations are automatically loaded and saved; it comes already with some sane options that should allow fairly fast and painless configuration and usability.

EasyBeans is an implementation of an EJB3 container. EasyBeans library aims to provide an implementation for the full EJBCore API.
For the persistence matter, it relies on Hibernate EJB 3 or, in upcoming versions, on Speedo, the ObjectWebs JDO implementation.
it is divided in three parts :
- Core part
- Persistence part (Which is the persistence provider)
- Simplified specification : it contains new features.
Enhancements:
- EAR deployment (and undeployment) is now supported in JOnAS, Tomcat, and Jetty.
- For JOnAS, if the EAR contains EJB 2.1 components, they will be deployed in the EJB 2.1 container.
- The WAR files of the EAR will be deployed in the Tomcat or Jetty Web container.
- An ear example is provided in this version.
- The timer service which is based on the Quartz component is supported.

TOPCASED comes from Toolkit in OPen source for Critical Applications and SystEm Development and is an id s system/software engineering workshop based on Eclipse.

It aims to provide the tools required to go from requirements to the implementation stages. The current version includes several graphical editors: ECORE, UML 2 (class, use cases, sequence diagrams only), structured analysis, and AADL (Architecture Analysis and Design Language).

These editors are partially generated from ECORE models and models can be checked. OCL and EMF checks are supported at this time. External tools can be easily connected to the workshop thanks to a simple communication bus.

PECoMaTo stands for Picture-Embedded COntents MAnipulation TOol.

PECoMaTo project is basically designed to display any kind of information embedded in picture files, as well as checking, filtering, extracting, removing, adding and fixing such information. In other words, its a metadata processor.

It supports the following file formats: JPEG/JFIF, Adobe PSD and FFO, raw IPTC. And it knows about the following metadata formats: JFIF, IPTC, Exif, Adobe and Fotostation. More file and metadata formats might be supported later (TIFF, etc.).

It aims to be portable (see supported platforms below). One of its main goals is to check the validity of parsed metadata as well as optionally check the strict compliance to official standards. On another hand, it aims to provide ways of fixing broken or not compliant chunks as well as providing general basic functions to manipulate the metadata.

PoWeb aims at providing a Web PO file editor. PO files are used by the standard GNU gettext libraries. The development was started to meet the needs of the Sympa project.

Installation:

PoWeb uses the Locale::PO CPAN module to parse PO files. You should install Locale::PO module first (available on http://search.cpan.org)

PoWeb runs as a CGI ; you should add the apropriate scriptAlias directive to your Apache config. Example : ScriptAlias /poweb /usr/local/poweb/poweb.cgi

You then need to customize variables in poweb.cgi :

o $po_dir : the directory containing the PO files
o $session_dir : the directory where user session data are stored
