Virtual Administrator Daemon is set of Perl scripts and modules which can help with remote server management. It uses XML input/otput, and can be run by (x)inetd.
It can receive multiple commands to execute, and it has been built to provide support for a scalable system administration environment.
Since it takes XML, clients can be developed in a different set of environments with easy integration into the server.
Enhancements:
- This release added support for standalone/daemon mode, SSL support and a default SSL certificate, a default timeout of 30 seconds while reading or writing sockets, more refined log messages, and new < mode >< /mode >, < ip >< /ip >, < port >< /port >, and < listen >< /listen > configuration elements.

DBIx::Password provides an abstraction layer for password maintenance. It is database independent and only overrides the connect method (so it basically behaves as DBI normally does).

You provide a single virtual user name in the connect method and the module determines which database/which user/which password to provide.

Gnome Password Generator is a GUI based secure password generator. The project allows the user to generate a specified number of random passwords of a specified length. The program requires Python version 2.4 or greater, PyGTK version 2.4 or greater, and Gnome-Python for Gnome 2.

Xtra Screen Hacks is a collection of graphics display modes that are meant to be run with a daemon such as XScreenSaver.

"Daisy" draws spinning flowers, and "Twinkle" draws a twinkling star field.

Compilation of Xtra Screen Hacks depends only on xlib.

Installation:

The configure script is not up and running yet, so the Makefiles and config.h are hacked versions of the ones xscreensavers configure script generated on the authors machine. If your system differs from the authors (i686 Debian GNU/Linux) then the build will probably not work for you, unless you hack the Makefiles and possibly config.h to modify the variables and defines.

If the Makefiles and config.h are ok, then simply run

$ make

to generate the binaries. They will be in the hacks directory.
If you have a copy of XScreensaver installed from the tarball, run

$ make install

If not, you will need to copy the files to their target directories by hand. Search for deluxe, deluxe.xml, and deluxe.1 (or deluxe.man, deluxe.6x.gz, etc) using locate, find, or whereis to figure out where they should go. The binaries and xml files must be in the correct directories
to work properly with xscreensaver-demo.

You will need to add entries to your .xscreensaver file by hand. Open $HOME/.xscreensaver in your favorite text editor and paste the following two lines into the "programs" section:

Then run xscreensaver-demo to activate and configure the hacks.

If you dont have XScreensaver at all, just enjoy the hacks in an X window.

If make install worked for you, type

$ make uninstall

when you no longer want the new screen hacks.

Password Save extension brings up a plain text listing of your passwords in a browser window that can be easily copy-pasted or saved to the hard-drive.

Some javascript warning fixes and a bit of debugging code for helping people that the extension doesnt work for (Email me if you get a blank screen and have some free time to help me debug and well solve this problem once and for all)

In Preferences, go to Privacy => Passwords. When you click View Saved Passwords, there will be an added "Dump Passwords" button. Clicking this will pop up a new browser window with the saved passwords which can easily be saved, printed, or copy-pasted into another location.

This extension will only work (as is) on the released 1.5beta1 - 1.5beta2. The intall.rdf can be tweaked to get it to install fine on any recent nightly or the Deer Park Alphas. It -=can not=- be tweaked to work on 1.0. Sorry!
