Prey tells the story of Tommy, a Cherokee garage mechanic stuck on a reservation going nowhere. His life changes when an otherworldly crisis forces him to awaken spiritual powers from his long-forgotten birthright. Abducted along with his people to a menacing mothership orbiting Earth, he sets out to save himself and his girlfriend and eventually his planet.
Prey is serious, dark story, based on authentic Cherokee mythology. Themes of sacrifice, love and responsibility are explored and the story dives into emotional territory not yet explored by similar games. You will find nothing familiar with this game.
Overview
In Prey, gamers enter an unpredictable world where nothing can be taken for granted. Most of the game takes place within a living ship, a giant entity that can sense and react to Tommys presence.
Prey makes use of Josephs Campbells renowned story structure, "The Heros Journey," for guiding the main character arc. Campbells extensive work on mythological story progression was made famous when George Lucas used it for Luke Skywalkers story arc in the original Star Wars.

Simple Addictive Fun

Anagramarama is free software released under the terms of the GNU General Public License. This means that you can use it, copy it, modify it, sell it, anything you wish as long as you also agree to be bound by the terms of the license.

Chain Reaction (aka Critical Mass, aka Atoms) is an addictive, multi-player board game. Lee Haywoods Chain Reaction is easy to learn to play. There is a computer player (for 2 player games only).
- Players take turns to add units (blobs) of their colour to either an empty cell or a cell they already occupy.
- Once the number of blobs in a cell equals the number of neighbouring cells - 2 in a corner, 3 along an edge and 4 elsewhere - the blobs explode, adding 1 blob to each neighbour and leaving the original cell empty.
- The neigbouring cell may then have enough blobs to explode as well - making their neigbours explode, and so on - a chain reaction.
- Any blobs affected by the chain reaction change colour to that of the person making the move - this is how other players cells are taken.
- Wipe out your opponent(s) and win - eventually someone is going to win because the total number of blobs increases by 1 with each move, gradually filling the board.

Cosmic Assault is a retro space shooter game.

I wrote Cosmic Assault as my little homage to my coming of age in the early 1980s. It started life as one of the tutorials supplied for teaching programmers the fundamentals of pygame and I used that tutorial to hack together a little shoot-em-up game to see how all the components worked together.

One thing led to another, and the program was built on many layers of "Wouldnt it be neat if...", "I wonder what this does..." or "How do I do this..." As a result, this game is no paean to modern software engineering practices. Even though it uses classes, inheritance, and aggregation, the OO misfeatures are so numerous that it is guaranteed to make enterprise Java developers openly weep in their Gang of Four books.

But, in spite of all that (or likely because of it), this game is addictive, mindless fun. Your job is to fly your spacecraft into the unknown and mow down hordes of ruthless enemies in a noble effort to... Oh hell, quit listening to me babble, look at the screenshots, and download and play this bad boy already.

SDL Vexed project is a puzzle game written in Perl-SDL.

Vexed is an addictive (and written in Perl) puzzle game in which your goal is to move similar blocks together, which causes them to disappear. Once all the blocks are gone, youve solved the level and youre presented with a new Vexed level to solve.

In Vexed you have to move blocks by putting the mouse on them and dragging (using mouse button) to either the right or left. If an empty space is encountered, "gravity" takes over and the blocks fall towards the bottom.

Scoring is based on a golf-like "par" concept. The Vexed level pack has a solution stored for each level. If you solve the level in the same number of moves as what is stored in the level pack, you get a score of 0, or par, for that level. Note that the stored solution may not be the most efficient one, so you can beat "par" and have a negative score.

The score displayed while playing is a cumulative score for the entire level pack.

Using the Solution feature adds five to your score.

Dodgin Diamond 2 project is a little shoot-em-up arcade game.
