Gallery Uploader 0.2.2
Gallery Uploader is a Python script that can upload pictures to Web Gallery (only versions 2.0 or above). more>>
Gallery Uploader is a Python script that can upload pictures to Web Gallery (only versions 2.0 or above).
Gallery Uploader supports multiple galleries. To do it so, you need to save URL, User and Password using the –save option, passing a name to the gallery. You can point to this gallery using the -G option. If there is only one gallery in the configuration, you won’t need the -G option, as GUP will automagically use that gallery.
Creating Albums
To create an album, you need the -c option. This option takes three parameters:
Parent album id: the id of the album where the new album will be created. There is an special album with id “0″, which is the root of all albums, but it is NOT the album you see when you open Web Gallery in the browser. To find this “first album”, you can use the –show-child=0 option;
Album name: it’s the name your gallery will have. In the web interface, it is the first field asked when creating an album. Internally, it is the directory name in the server where the pictures will be stored (so, invalid file names will cause GUP to fail);
Album title: it’s the visible part of the album, displayed on the page.
Also, note that there is three parameters and that space is used to split them. So, if you want to add spaces to your album name or album title, you need to enclose it by quotes, like -c 7 my_first_album “My First Album” (this will create an album named “My First Album”, stored as “my_first_album” in the server, under the album with the id “7″).
Uploading Images
To upload images, you need to create an album (using something like the above example) or using the -a option, passing the album id. Also, if you don’t need the picture in your computer after uploading, you can use the –delete option.

slackware spam filter 0.1.1
slackware spam filter allows you to install spam filtering capabilities onto a slackware 9.1 box. more>>
slackware spam filter allows you to install spam filtering capabilities onto a slackware 9.1 box.
this is a very simple way to install spam filtering capabilities onto a slackware 9.1 box. its pretty simple: install.sh will install/upgrade a few packages in the packages/ directory. then itll patch the system and the installed packages to work together and filter that evil spam.
finally there are some scripts in the scripts/ directory which you can use to maintain your spam filter and stuff. when the system is patched there will also be a few new tools for you to use;
sa-learn-md-wrapper is used by the spam filter as an easy way to learn spam from inside a maildrop filter, and sa-rebuild is an easy tool to rebuild the bayesian filtering index for a couple of users or all of them at once.
run install.sh to install the packages and revised configuration for each
package.
run enable_mail_for_user.sh with users to add and the script will add users and enable them for use with the mail system.
run create_fetchmail_config.sh to create (or add onto) a fetchmail config file in a users home directory. then run fetchmail for that user if you intend on using fetchmail

Quick Spam Filter 1.2.6
Quick Spam Filter (QSF) is an Open Source email classification filter. more>>
Quick Spam Filter (QSF) is an Open Source email classification filter. Quick Spam Filter is designed to be small, fast, and accurate, which works to classify incoming email as either spam or non-spam.
To recognise spam, QSF strips the text out of the email (using MIME decoding and HTML stripping) and then splits it into tokens (words, word pairs, URLs, and so on). These tokens are then looked up in a database and analysed using the Bayesian technique to see whether the email should be classified as spam or not.
The database is generated by a process of training - QSF is given two mailboxes, one containing known spam, and the other containing known non-spam, to train itself on. After training, if QSF misfiles any email, the message it got wrong can be fed back into the database, thus making QSF learn from its mistakes.
For a more in-depth look at the way in which QSF tokenises and classifies messages, please see the Technical Details section of the manual.
QSF is designed to be run by an MDA, such as procmail.

Bloom::Filter 0.03
Bloom::Filter is a sample Perl Bloom filter implementation. more>>
Bloom::Filter is a sample Perl Bloom filter implementation.
A Bloom filter is a probabilistic algorithm for doing existence tests in less memory than a full list of keys would require. The tradeoff to using Bloom filters is a certain configurable risk of false positives. This module implements a simple Bloom filter with configurable capacity and false positive rate. Bloom filters were first described in a 1970 paper by Burton Bloom, see http://portal.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=362692&dl=ACM&coll=portal.
SYNOPSIS
use Bloom::Filter
my $bf = Bloom::Filter->new( capacity => 10, error_rate => .001 );
$bf->add( @keys );
while ( ) {
chomp;
print "Found $_n" if $bf->check( $_ );
}

Compact Filter 0.3
Compact Filter is a network packet filter for Linux. more>>
Compact Filter is a network packet filter for Linux. It features an easy-to-use compact filter representation and high performance.
The main features are: easy to use interface, compact filter representation (memory efficient), and very high performance.
A difference between CF and other firewalls, such as Netfilter, is its representation of the ruleset. In CF the user writes a filter which is then compiled and optimized in user-space. The optimized filter is then loaded into the kernel (using netlink). Consequently the in kernel packet filtering code only needs funtionality for setting up a filter and filtering packets, while the more complex code of optimizing the filter remains in user-space.
Because of the continuous increase of the bandwidth and the security threats, firewalls have to evolve towards more efficient filtering schemes. The truth is that the existing scheme does not scale so well with the combined growth of bandwidth and rulesets.
Our aim is to try another approach to perform packet filtering where we minimize the complexity of the filtering process. This result in, both, a reduction of the required CPU power to filter packets and a simpler (and smaller) kernel code. Of course, we are pushing all the smart and complex part out to the user-space, but, developing in user-space is much simpler and safer.
Enhancements:
- changed -d option to delete all filters
- added -D option to delete a specific filter
- changed default policy to permit rather than deny
- added -l option on flex to support --yylineno on older versions of flex
- new and improved install guide
