DBA Companion 1.5
DBA Companion is a free open-source Oracle administration tool. more>>
DBA Companion is a free open-source Oracle administration tool.
I am building this tool for my own needs. This means, it does not necessarily contain all the information you can extract from an Oracle database nor all the information that *you* may require.
Configuration:
Set LD_LIBRARY_PATH (SHLIB_PATH on HP) to point to $ORACLE_HOME/lib and the QT library directory. Also set DBACOMP_INI to the dbacomp.ini file (with the full path).
E.g.: DBACOMP_INI=/usr/local/dbacomp/dbacomp.ini.
Open dbacomp.ini and set the variables sql_cache_file, sql_generation and user_sql.
sql_cache_file_prefix: Tells DBAComp where to find the SQL statements files.
These files contain all the SQL that DBAComp uses (see
later). The prefix comprises the full path plus the
common beginning of the name of the file.
sql_generation: The directory where you want DBAComp to store the SQL
scripts that you may generate with it.
user_sql: Indicates the location of the file that contains the
users *own* SQL statements (for more details see below).
sql_cache_file_prefix and user_sql must be set to the fully qualified file name. By default the files are called user.sql and dbacomp.
Example: sql_cache_file_prefix=/opt/dbacomp/dbacomp
user_sql=/opt/dbacomp/user.sql
If you dont set any of these variables (DBACOMP_INI, sql_cache_file_prefix, user_sql), DBAComp will look for these files in the local directory (i.e. the directory where you have started DBAComp from) using the default names.
Now start the program by typing ./dbacomp.
Logon and ENJOY!
BTW: You can also start dbacomp with the username/password[@tnsalias] on the command line (i.e.: ./dbacomp scott/tiger@orcl). Also OPS$ (automatic) logons are supported (e.g. ./dbacomp / or ./dbacomp /@orcl).
Enhancements:
- The main new features are the adaptation to Oracle10G, charting capabilities, and the integration of Statspack and AWR analysis modules.
- This release corrects a number of problems from the previous version.

Hanihani Operation Sanctuary 1.0

Hanihani Operation Sanctuary project is an English adaptation of a Japanese visual novel game.
The girl that fell out of the blue.
And the protagonists life, which began to take a turn little by little into the realm of the extraordinary starting from that very day.
- Nao-kun, if you dont get up soon, youre going to be late.
The new school term started today. The protagonists childhood friend, Honami, has kept telling him that hes not a child anymore, and yet continues to come to wake him up. They proceed as they always have to "Hasumidai Academy", which stands atop a hill ... but this time around, as second-year students.
- Naoki, Im going on ahead of you!
And the protagonists cousin, Matsuri, zips past the two of them. After having lost both parents in a terrible accident 5 years ago, the protagonist Naoki Kuzumi was taken in by Matsuris parents. And now, Matsuri herself -- who had been so opposed to Naokis moving in back then -- has become a freshman at Hasumidai Academy.
These ordinary, ordinary days, stretching on forever.
... but then, one day, up on the roof of school ...
Enhancements:
- RTM, all platforms.
- Initial page release. Currently in QC. Expect RTM for all platforms this weekend.

GlassBarMini 0.2
GlassBarMini is an system monitor SuperKaramba theme. more>>
GlassBarMini is an adaptation of the theme Ive been using for a couple of years now. My goal for a system monitor is one that will always be visible, regardless of what Im doing. This theme is sized such that you can position it at the top of the screen, and it will fit unobtrusively over the title bar--space that isnt being used anyway.
To get this theme to work with your network setup, youll need to replace every instance of "eth0" with your network device (eth1, ath0, wlan1, etc.) in the GlassBarMini.theme file.
I had to set window-specific settings in KDE to keep the theme on top of other windows--there might be a better way to do this, but I dont know it ;)
The new GlassBarMini theme is derived from artwork from the original GlassHUD/GlassHUDX monitors and CaceKs GlassPlayer. Ive also included the background and theme file from the theme that Ive used previously, in case anyone prefers that.

SigmaPi Neurosimulator 1.3
SigmaPi Neurosimulator is a simulator for recurrent neural networks. more>>
The SigmaPi Neural Network Simulator is designed for time-series processing and neural network research on Unix/X11. Since version 0.5, it uses the LSTM neuron model, the RTRL training algorithm and a heuristic learning rate adaptation based on local update sign-changes. It is GPL-covered, so you can use it for free (read the license for more information)
The current version runs with the Trolltech QT 3.x API and is therefore platform-independent.
SigmaPi is no end-user software. It allows the user to change every possible network parameter, and it wont tell you whether a setting is nonsense or not.

Statistics::Gap 0.10
Statistics::Gap Perl module is an adaptation of the Gap Statistic. more>>
Statistics::Gap Perl module is an adaptation of the Gap Statistic.
SYNOPSIS
use Statistics::Gap;
$predictedk = &gap("prefix", "vec", INPUTMATRIX, "rbr", "h2", 30, 10, rep, 90, 4);
OR
use Statistics::Gap;
$predictedk = &gap("prefix", "vec", INPUTMATRIX, "rbr", "h2", 30, 10, rep, 90, 4, 7);
INPUTS
1. Prefix: The string that should be used to as a prefix while naming the intermediate files and the .dat files (plot files).
2. Space: Specifies the space in which the clustering should be performed. Valid parameter values: vec - vector space sim - similarity space
3. InputMatrix: Path to input matrix file. (More details about the input file-format below.)
4. ClusteringMethod: Specifies the clustering method to be used. (Learn more about this at: http://glaros.dtc.umn.edu/gkhome/cluto/cluto/overview)
Valid parameter values:
rb - Repeated Bisections
rbr - Repeated Bisections for by k-way refinement
direct - Direct k-way clustering
agglo - Agglomerative clustering
bagglo - Partitional biased Agglomerative clustering
NOTE: bagglo can be used only if space=vec
5. Crfun: Specifies the criterion function to be used for finding clustering solutions. (Learn more about this at: http://glaros.dtc.umn.edu/gkhome/cluto/cluto/overview)
Valid parameter values:
i1 - I1 Criterion function
i2 - I2 Criterion function
e1 - E1 Criterion function
h1 - H1 Criterion function
h2 - H2 Criterion function
6. K: This is an approximate upper bound for the number of clusters that may be present in the dataset.
7. B: The number of replicates/references to be generated.
8. TypeRef: Specifies whether to generate B replicates from a reference or to generate B references.
Valid parameter values:
rep - replicates
ref - references
9. Percentage: Specifies the percentage confidence to be reported in the log file. Since Statistics::Gap uses parametric bootstrap method for reference distribution generation, it is critical to understand the interval around the sample mean that could contain the population ("true") mean and with what certainty.
10. Precision: Specifies the precision to be used while generating the reference distribution.
11. Seed: The seed to be used with the random number generator. (This is an optional parameter. By default no seed is set.)

Lewin Pongs 1.0
Lewin Pongs is an advanced game of pong. more>>
Lewin Pongs is an advanced game of pong.
An advanced game of pong with lots of options. A ball bounces around the screen and you hit it with paddles.
If you miss, your opponent scores, if your opponent misses, you score.
PONG, an adaptation of table tennis to the video screen, was the first commercially successful video game and is widely regarded as ushering in the video game era.
PONG was released by Atari on November 29, 1972.
PONG is a basic simulation of the racket sport of table tennis. A small square representing a ping pong ball travels across the screen in a linear trajectory. If the square strikes the perimeter of the playing field, or one of the simulated paddles, the square ricochets based on the angle of the impact.
Game play consists of players moving their respective paddles vertically to defend their scoring zones. Players score one point by maneuvering the square past their opponents paddle.
PONG can be played either by a single player pitted against a computerized opponent, or by two players each controlling a paddle. In Ataris original PONG arcade cabinets, players controlled their paddles using one of two small paddle controllers (a knob-like input device). Contrastingly, several of the derivative table tennis simulations employed longitudinally-sliding joysticks.

TFM Linux 20060818
TFM Linux is a Linux operating system that can be used for small enterprises. more>>
TFM Linux project is a Linux operating system that can be used for small enterprises, whose administrators are not so experienced in Linux.
It all began a long time ago with a Red Hat distribution, whose packages were very low on security, so that less than 5 % of these were kept and the rest was replaced with alternate Red Hat packages which proved to be more stable.
Thats the way the TFM Linux idea was born. The simplest method at that time was the adaptation of Red Hat distribution to the needs previously specified. So in March 2001 TFM Linux 1.0 was launched.
An easy to install operating system, easy to use as server edition or workstation and adapted for the users needs. All the knowledge gathered during all this time, allowed the observation of the modified Red Hat distribution limits, and, as future plan, it was established that the next version of the distribution will be done starting from zero, for having complete control to what is happening in the distribution and the packages interactions.

ClusterControl 2.0
ClusterControl project is a web-interface to simplify distributing and monitoring bioinformatics applications on Linux clusters. more>>
ClusterControl project is a web-interface to simplify distributing and monitoring bioinformatics applications on Linux cluster systems.
This software is based on a modular concept that enables integration of command-line oriented programs into the application framework of ClusterControl. The system enables integration of different applications accessed through one interface and executed on a distributed cluster system.
The use of wide spread and freely available technologies like Apache as web-server, PHP as server-side scripting-language and OpenPBS or Sun Grid Engine (SGE) as queuing system enables straightforward installation on common operating systems.
Installation:
For local installation, ClusterControl requires a running installation of the web server Apache (http://www.apache.org) with PHP(Version 4) and LDAP support, that comes with nearly every Linux distribution, and a local installation of the queuing system Open Portable Batch System (PBS) which can be downloaded from http://www.openpbs.org or Sun Grid Engine (SGE) which is available at http://gridengine.sunsource.net.
If an LDAP-Server is already available for user-management of the cluster it can be easily integrated by modifying the configuration file. To activate the monitoring mechanism of ClusterControl a status collecting server-process must be started on every cluster node. With the adaptation of one well documented configuration file the installation process is completed.

Information Currency Web Services 0.2.3
ICWS provides a Web services (SOAP) interface for information currency systems. more>>
ICWS provides a Web services (SOAP) interface for information currency systems. Information Currency Web Services implementation uses Java, the Axis SOAP engine, and the PostgreSQL database server.
Information Currency CVS is a work-alike adaptation of CVS which returns information currency for committed source code.
Allocation of economic resources by financial mechanisms is an essential part of modern economies, and financial innovations have been a powerful force for human progress. Information technology provides the opportunity to create new economic instruments derived from any arbitrary element of information.
Information currency units are economically scarce objects that are issued and maintained by a service that establishes a correspondence between underlying units of information and information currency. Information currency will enable the application of economic mechanisms for information management and valuation.
Information currency units can be traded for other economic instruments, and the trade value of information currency units provides an economic valuation of the underlying information.
Enhancements:
- This release adds the first code for trading information currency, as well as a new Internet draft with an example trade.

exrtools 0.4
exrtools project is a set of simple command-line utilities for manipulating with high dynamic range images in OpenEXR format. more>>
exrtools project is a set of simple command-line utilities for manipulating with high dynamic range images in OpenEXR format. OpenEXR is a high dynamic-range (HDR) image file format developed by Industrial Light & Magic for use in computer imaging applications.
exrtools was developed to help experiment with batch processing of HDR images for tone mapping. Each application is small and reasonably self-contained such that the source code may be of most value to others.
exrtools currently only works with RGBA OpenEXR files. As well, the code assumes that the EXR files and PNG files all use sRGB primaries and gamma function. Fixing this is not very difficult, and the code to fix allows for some interesting possibilities. That said, I do not have time right now, so this will have to wait.
exrtools and its source code is released under an MIT-style license and may be used in both commercial and non-commercial applications without fee.
Applications
exrblur
Applies a gaussian blur to an image.
exrchr
Applies spatially-varying chromatic adaptation to an image.
exricamtm
Performs tone mapping using the iCAM method.
exrnlm
Performs non-linear masking correction to an image.
exrnormalize
Normalize an image.
exrpptm
Performs tone mapping using the photoreceptor physiology method.
exrstats
Displays statistics about an image.
exrtopng
Converts an image to PNG format.
jpegtoexr
Converts an image to EXR format from JPEG.
pngtoexr
Converts an image to EXR format from PNG.
ppmtoexr
Converts an image to EXR format from PPM. Works with the 16 bit per channel PPM files from dcraw for digital cameras with RAW modes.
Enhancements:
- Added the ppmtoexr application to convert from PPM formats including the 48 bit per pixel format output by dcraw.
