File Activity Viewer opens a file and shows you the last lines (this is configurable) and then keeps waiting for changes in that file.
It works like a graphical (with GUI) tail -f.

X11 Disk Activity Feedback shows disk activity by animating the X11 cursor.

It provides a visual feedback of local disk activity by changing the default X11 mouse pointer to an animated wheel.

- Those with new notes.

SVN::Notify is a Subversion activity notification.

Use the class in a custom script:

This class may be used for sending email messages for Subversion repository activity. There are a number of different modes supported, and SVN::Notify is fully subclassable to easily add new functionality. By default, A list of all the files affected by the commit will be assembled and listed in a single message. An additional option allows diffs to be calculated for the changes and either appended to the message or added as an attachment. See the with_diff and attach_diff options below.

libut is a C library for writing Unix servers or daemon processes.

It invokes callbacks for I/O, signals, or timer activity.

It supports logging, profiling, configuration, and runtime administration through an interactive control port.

Libut has been built on Linux, Solaris, OpenBSD, and Mac OSX.

Installation

Untar the distribution and cd into its top-level directory. Then,
