Mail::Action is a Perl module for building modules that act on incoming mail.

SYNOPSIS

use base Mail::Action;

Sometimes, you just need a really simple mailing address to last for a few days. You want it to be easy to create and easy to use, and you want it to be sufficiently anonymous that your real address isnt ever exposed.

Mail::TempAddress, Mail::TempAddress::Addresses, and Mail::TempAddress::Address make it easy to create a temporary mailing address system.

Sonic Action Beta 3

Sonic Action Beta 3

Sonic Action is a multiplatform Sonic fangame based on the SRB2 story. more>>
Sonic Action is the first SRB2 Town related game. Anywhere, instead of the standard story that you read everyday, this time the viewpoint is more orientated to Sonic.
But Im not saying that well not appear in the game, nothing of that kind. Im planning to get we appear in the game. So dont ask me about that.
The engine of Sonic Action is incredibly good: you can think that Sega made it. Thats because six months of developing can do wonderful things. And this is not developed using programs such as Game Maker, MFF or TGF, normally used for make fangames, its programmed in C++ with Allegro.
And is more: Tails92 will port the different versions of Sonic Action to other OS like Linux or FreeBSD (Sonic Action is orignally programmed for Windows).
The story is very original, as far as the fangames stories that I know.. But you can get more info in the Sonic Action sections (scroll down the menu).
Enhancements:
- New levels: Badnik City and Eggman Base (the last is incomplete).

Sloth Online RPG 0.15

Sloth Online RPG 0.15

Sloth Online RPG is aJava Online RPG with Real-Time Action and rich 2D graphics. more>>
Sloth Online RPG is aJava Online RPG with Real-Time Action and rich 2D graphics.

Sloth Online RPG is a work in progress that will provide a fully graphical online role playing game engine. SlothORPG is coded in Java and is currently in a near playable state featuring several classes with over a thousand lines of code.

My main intentions with this project are to provide a free, fully functional, ever expanding Role Playing Engine (both client and server side) for the end user who would be playing the game. Developers would also be able to use the project as a resource on certain aspects of Java Game Programming.

Server side the project implements the NIO Networking library to create a smoother, stronger tcp/ip core. I found UDP and TCP w/ the old IO library to be unreliable and sluggish respectively. The way in which the server is structured has proven to be strong thus far.

The client side of the code features the Graphics2D Java library to provide near perfect animation without requiring a rendering device such as OpenGL or DirectX.

To summarize my entire intent for this project I basically wanted to provide an Online RPG that is functional on almost any OS that has Java installed and can run just as smooth on low end machines while still being able to feature rich 2-D graphics. The source code is clean and neat as well as commented and organized.

It is easy to read and understand for someone who has some knowledge of Java. As I write this, the project is coming along nicely and some pre-alpha local network testing has proven this. I plan to continue with this project and in the future include database integration and more of a developer-side interface.

A quick rundown of what this project includes so far: Character Creation, Smooth character animation, and fully supported tcp/ip gameplay. Chatting is also implemented.

The framework and engine feature a self-containing, playable, algorithmically-generated world, and can be the base for new games.
Enhancements:
- The 3D core was refactored, a new jungle design (along with partly billboarded trees and bushes) was added, and several optimizations and bugfixes have been included.

Pluto Request Action Library 2.0.0.36

Pluto Request Action Library 2.0.0.36

Pluto Request Action Library is a library that makes it easy to create a client/server application. more>>
Pluto Request Action Library allows you to create a client/server application, where client sends requests, server replies with responses and optional actions. Very object oriented, and takes only minutes to get going. Same library used for both server & client side.

How does it work?

The client creates "Requests" which it sends to the server. The server will process the request, set some return variables, and can optionally add "Actions" it wants the client to execute in response. An example is a cashiers computer (the client) sends the central credit card processing server a request to "process a credit card", the server responds with the authorization code and also includes an action "give customer a message" which causes a message to appear on the cashiers computer.
Both the client and server use the same library. Both create an instance of RA_Processor.

The only difference is the server calls "ReceiveRequest" and the client creates the actual requests, and calls RA_Processors "SendRequest".
To create a request, just create a class derived from RA_Request. Add some member variables for the request and variables for the response. Your request must be derived from SerializeClass--a base class that facilitates taking an object (a request in this case), serializing the variables into a binary block, and then on the other end reconstructing the class with all the data. The framework handles everything. You just add the data members.

In the above example, the request variables would probably be the credit card information and maybe the customer ID, and the response variables would be the authorization code. RA_Request has a pure virtual function "ProcessRequest" which will be called on the server to handle the request. Both the client and the server have the same Request/Action classes. When the client side passes a request to the RequestProcessor, the framework handles serializing all the request member variables, making the socket connection to the server and sending the request to the server.

On the server, the framework will create an instance of the request class and deserialize all the data and call the "ProcessRequest" member function. That is the only function the server needs to implement. From within ProcessRequest, the server needs to set the response variables. When ProcessRequest returns, the framework will serialize the response variables, send them back to the client, update the clients original request with the response, and execution will continue. Less than 10 lines of code are required to make it work, and the project includes a sample client/server application you can extend.

PHP Online RPG 1.1unstable

PHP Online RPG 1.1unstable

PHP Online RPG project is an graphical online RPG. more>>
PHP Online RPG project is an graphical online RPG.
This RPG uses only the browser to create a vast world. The power of html tables allow us to create a graphical online rpg that is fast, and vivid. The only requirements are a browser and patience.
As the world grows, its possible for the code to move slower and we ask your patience. This game truly is an inspiration to those who want to play games at work on a simple web browser.
The RPG featured has certain placement graphics from Delta Taos ClanLord. These are not meant for distribution, but for examples. You can change the style to a Diablo-type RPG, or an anime rpg, or something completely different such as a space RPG.
The project, including the layout, is open ended. The first couple of releases are to get public interest. The code is not the best. When we have a stable release we will mark the download. The only admin at this time is Adam.Atomical.
Enhancements:
- Object oriented interface
- Specialized function interface ( for PHP coders )
- Multi-player combat
- Single player combat
- Treasure
- Finding Inventory
- Spawning of Items

Freedroid RPG 0.10.2

Freedroid RPG 0.10.2

Freedroid RPG is an extension/modification of the classical Freedroid engine into an RPG. more>>
Freedroid RPG project is an extension/modification of the classical Freedroid engine into an RPG. The main differences to the classical version are as follows:
- The Tux is the main character of the rpg.
- The game uses isometric viewpoint and animated pre-rendered 3d character models for all characters inside the game.
- Dialogs and chatting with friendly droids and humans: Multiple-choice menus and voice samples (with subtitles for those without sound).
- There is an item and inventory system that is modeled after some popular standards of the industry
- An automap feature was added. (this is currently a bit unmaintained since part of the code needs to be re-written for proper OpenGL support in the automap display)
- Saving and loading of games.
- Shops to trade things and skills to learn.
- Controls are different: Mouse is the input method of choice.
- This is a graphically intense game. Therefore the archive size is comparably *huge* and not suitable for modem downloads with a dialup connection.
Enhancements:
- This version, mostly unchanged from -rc4, focuses on making the development for the game easier, exports some hardcoded data into files, makes the map editor a bit more usable, and has other major and minor tweaks.
