A-foto 1.6 RC7
A-foto is a theme (applet) for Superkaramba. more>>
A-foto is a theme (applet) for Superkaramba. A-foto show pictures on your desktop with different frame decorations and has the ability to change picture at present intervals.
Known Issues in this version:
- There is NO "add to line" mode. The organization of presented images is now accomplished through management of contents of the chosen folder. One suggested way of organizing custom slide shows is to create an empty folder and drag LINKS to preferred photos into that folder. Drop that folder onto a-foto. Presently, this appears to be the easiest way to achieve manageability of slide show content. Your alternative suggestions are welcome.
- Starting a second instance of A-foto from SuperKaramba interface may fail. Double-click on afoto.skz file to start additional applets.
- A-foto settings have "historical priority." Settings for 1st afoto applet ever will always be the 1st in line to be used when you open afoto. To get to the settings of the 3rd afoto instance, you need to open 3 afoto applets. We are working on a solution. Any comments and suggestions are welcome

pam_krb5 is designed to allow smooth integration of Kerberos 5 passwordchecking with applications built using PAM.
Its now able to get krb5 tgt, convert krb5 tgt to krb4 tgt (krb524), get afs tokens with krb5_afslog, optinal native kth-krb4 ticket grabing.
New codes which are not in the main pam_krb5:
I wrote a new code which is usefull e.g with openssh-gssapi with token forwarding. It try to use and convert the forwarded krb5 tgt to krb4 tgt and to afs tokens. (like pam_openafs_session)
pam_krb5 can convert krb5 tgt to krb4 tgt (krb524) with Heimdal and with MIT Kerberos V.

Installation Instructions
As of version 1.4, the recommended compilation method uses the Makefile. As of version 1.5, please see the readme file in the docs directory, and use the Makefile.
Compiling with Apache See the Makefile. Make targets are apache1 and default (which compiles for apache2).
You may need the Apache source tree for this method.
Unpack the tarball (zcat mod_auth_any.tgz | tar -xf -)
Reconfigure apache with
--add-module=[location of mod_auth_any.c] --enable-shared=auth_any
Add the following to httpd.conf
LoadModule auth_any_module modules/mod_auth_any.so
AddModule mod_auth_any.c
Compiling Independently
(Recommended for RedHat) This method is easier, assuming you have a properly installed Apache rpm with all the apxs trimmings.
Unpack the tarball (zcat mod_auth_any.tgz | tar -xf -)
Configure with apxs

pfstools 1.6.2
pfstools allows for reading, writing, manipulating and viewing high-dynamic range (HDR) images and video frames. more>>
pfstools project contains a set of command line (and one GUI) programs for reading, writing, manipulating and viewing high-dynamic range (HDR) images and video frames. All programs in the package exchange data using a simple generic file format (pfs) for HDR data. The concept of the pfstools is similar to netpbm package for low-dynamic range images.
pfstools come with a library for reading and writing pfs files. The library can be used for writing custom applications that can integrate with the existing pfstools programs.
pfstools offers also a good integration with a high-level mathematical programming language GNU Octave. pfstools can be used as the extension of Octave for reading and writing HDR images or simply to store effectively large matrices.
Note that pfs in not just another format for storing HDR images (and there are already quite a few of them). It is more an attempt to integrate the existing file formats by providing a simple data format that can be used to exchange data between applications.
Enhancements:
- matlab: pfsview can now display 2D cell arrays
- pfs library: quite serious bug in sRGB transforms fixed
- added: check for GLUT library (unix only)
- added: man page for pfsglview

STclass 4.0 RC7
STclass is a Contract Based Built-in Testing Framework (CBBT) for Java. more>>
STclass is a Contract Based Built-in Testing Framework (CBBT) for Java.
The goal of the STclass project is to diffuse a professional testing framework for the Java language. The Tigris site shoud support the maintenance and the evolution of the tool.
Main features:
- Runtime evaluable contracts definition and evaluation:
OCL like class invariants, pre and postconditions on methods;
contracts defined in javadoc comments (can be extracted by javadoc);
contracts inheritance from parent class and interfaces following the Meyers rules;
- Class level unit testing:
test are organized in TestUnits, TestCases and TestSuites;
Setup and Teardown actions can be associated to TestCase, a testUnit can participate to several TestCases;
tests are contract-based: TestUnits define only scenarii, oracles are evaluated by contracts;
tests are built-in: all the test definition is made in comments of the source code;
tests are inheritable from parent classes and interfaces;
- A preprocessor generates from the source an instrumented code with a main function: running the test is only running the class itself. Options manage the test conditions; it is possible to launch TestUnits individualy in verification mode; with Ant or other scripts, package or system test can be performed.
- Test result are saved in XML format, postprocessing tools produce nice HTML reports; using the JIP profiler, a statisitic and profiling analysis can be made during the test, its resuts are added to the HTML report.
Enhancements:
- Several bugs were fixed.
- Change option management is now based on property files.
- Good integration with Ant was achieved.
- IDEs including NetBeans and Eclipse are now supported.
- A new code_cover command that makes coverage tests with EMMA was added.

AleVT 1.6.1

AleVT is a teletext/videotext decoder and browser for the bttv driver (/dev/vbi) and X11.
Theres nothing to configure. A simple make is all. If you do not want png support remove the WITH_PNG in the Makefile. Additionally, if you want a smaller font uncomment the "FONT=neep9" line. It gives you alevt, alevt-date, and alevt-cap and their man pages alevt.1x, alevt-date.1, and alevt-cap.1.
The program can be installed it where ever you want (i.e. /usr/local/bin). The programs are selfcontained and require no other files. Be careful with make install. Its just for me.
I added a little tool to set the system time from the videotext time. The date is not interpreted (not even transmitted on some channels). So it allows only adjustment of +/-12 hours. The default allowed adjustment is limited to +/-2 hours (use -delta to change). Without the -set option it just display the date in the format of the date command. Look at strftime for possible control sequences you may use in the -format option.
Enhancements:
- Removed the bttv-warning from the help pages

KChart 1.6.1
KChart is the KOffice chart drawing application. more>>
KChart is the KOffice chart drawing application part of the KOffice suite. Use it to embed charts into your KOffice documents, e.g. a report written with KWord or a slideshow made with KPresenter.
Main features:
Easy to Use:
- default values for all parameters
- automatic ordinate axis computation based on highest/lowest data value
- default sizes (fonts, line widths...) relative to the window size
Highly Configurable:
- All of the parameters may be changed after configuring/drawing the chart.
- Size values (axis/grid line width, font sizes, bar width, dataset gap, pie chart radius ... ) may be specified in either absolute pixels or relative to the window size. This makes your chart layout-independent since such values are being recalculated automatically when the window dimensions have changed.
Flexible Layout:
- Legends may be centered at a chart edge or in a corner with the chart making way in vertical and/or in horizontal direction thus offering 16 legend/chart relationships to choose from
- Header and footer texts have special font type/size and color settings
Axes and Data:
- Automatical ordinate axis computation based on highest/lowest data value which can be easily replaced by programmer-defined start, end and delta value settings.
- Abscissa labels may be taken either from data cells containing the respective strings or from programmer-defined QStringLists or calculated automatically based on a format chosen by the user and values found in the cells
- Up to 8 axes: 2 left, 2 right, 2 top, 2 bottom
- A chart may have 2 different ordinates: e.g. left axis for series 1,2,3 right axis for data series 4
- Each axis may draw (sub-)grid lines using their own color, line width, style
Chart Combinations:
- sharing the same abscissa axis or using different ones (e.g Top and Bottom axis)
- sharing the same ordinate or using different ones (e.g Left and Right axis)
- Axes may use the same line color / line width as the bars (or the lines, resp.) which they belong to.
Chart Types:
- Bar: normal | stacked | percent, 2D | 3D-Look
- Line: normal | stacked | percent, 2D | 3D-Look, show marker: circle | square | diamond
- Area: normal | stacked | percent
- HiLo: normal | open-close
- Pie: normal | exploded | some exploded, 2D | 3D
- Ring: normal | exploded | some exploded, fixed thickness | relative thickness
- Polar: normal | stacked | percent

ToscanaJ 1.6
ToscanaJ is a Java reimplementation of the classic Formal Concept Analysis frontend Toscana. more>>
ToscanaJ is a Java reimplementation of the classic Formal Concept Analysis frontend Toscana. It was built using software development techniques like MVC architecture and XML based files to provide more flexibilty for implementation of new features.
Since ToscanaJ is a pure viewer/browser for conceptual schemas and optimized for a non-technical audience, it comes with additional tools for creating the data displayed and to offer additional, more technical analysis capabilities. The four main tools are:
ToscanaJ
The viewer/browser component
Elba
An editor for conceptual schemas on relational databases. Database-aware and offering extra tools like exporting SQL scripts.
Siena
In many ways similar to Elba (mostly thanks to shared code), Siena edits conceptual schemas that store their data in memory.
Lucca
An experimental editor that is supposed to make use out of implication analysis of SQL clauses to allow very explorative and intuitive creation of database-connected systems.
With the 1.0 release ToscanaJ and Elba have reached a feature set that allows using them in concrete applications. This is a very important milestone for the project, since we expect to get a user base and thereby a lot of feedback about our work. If you use ToscanaJ and its editors, please feel free to mail any comment to the developer mailing list, we are always happy to hear about your experiences -- good or bad.
Siena and Lucca are not as advanced, although Siena is already used in some research environments. We expect Siena to be an official part of the releases quite soon, while Lucca is very experimental and might never be an official product.
Please note that DSTC can offer you professional services and aimed development around the project and that both universities maintain research activities in this area. If you are looking for support in your commercial or research activities, please feel free to ask the developer mailing list, we will be happy to give you advice how your ideas fit into the project.

Tidybot 1.6.1
Tidybot is a cross-platform batch (X)HTML syntax-checker and report-generator. more>>
Tidybot is a cross-platform batch (X)HTML syntax-checker and report-generator. It traverses a directory tree of (X)HTML files on your hard disk, and generates a web page listing all the errors and warnings it encounters.
Tidybot can be used in two ways: from the command-line, or through a user-friendly GUI application. The output will be identical in either case.
On Unix platforms, the GUI version of Tidybot is installed as tidybot_gui, and can be executed directly from the command line.
On MS Windows, the installer will have installed the GUI version as the program Tidybot GUI, which can be executed from the Start Menu: Start > Programs > Tidybot > Tidybot GUI.
In addition (depending on what you instructed the installer to do) you may also have a Tidybot GUI icon on your Desktop, and/or in the "Quick Launch" area of your Taskbar, that you can use to start the program.
The GUI version of Tidybot allows you to specify exactly the same options as the command-line version, just in a more convenient point-and-click fashion. The GUI version also has some functionality the command-line version lacks:
- The less often-used options are initially hidden. They can be made visible by choosing the Show Advanced Options menu item from the Options menu.
- If the Display results in browser checkbox is checked, Tidybot will send the results of the Tidybot run to your default browser.
- Settings and values are saved when you quit the application, and restored the next time you start it up. Some fields maintain a history of previously entered values, which can be selected from a drop-down menu.
<<lessTidybot can be used in two ways: from the command-line, or through a user-friendly GUI application.

Oddcast 3.1.6
Oddcast is an Icecast and Shoutcast streamer. more>>
Oddcast is an Icecast and Shoutcast streamer.
This version of oddcastv3 allows you to hook into any jack output port and broadcast the audio to an icecast or shoutcast server.
This version of oddcastv3 is all command-line oriented, and comes with example config files for each of the encoding types supported (Ogg Vorbis, LAME, AAC). You will most likely need to take one of the example configs (in the conf dir) and modify it to suit your needs.
Here is an example of how to use it with jack.
Step 1:
- startup jackd
Step 2:
- Feed a signal into jackd. There are many applications you can use
for this, if you like XMMS, try installing http://xmms-jack.sourceforge.net/
Step 3:
- Start oddcastv3 specifying the appropriate output ports. To get a list of
the output ports, use jack_lsp. If you use XMMS, youll see something like :
% jack_lsp
alsa_pcm:capture_1
alsa_pcm:capture_2
alsa_pcm:playback_1
alsa_pcm:playback_2
bio2jack_0_32083:out_0
bio2jack_0_32083:out_1
In this case, the bio2jack_0_32083:out_0 and bio2jack_0_32083:out_1 are the output ports from XMMS. So youd start oddcastv3 like :
oddcastv3 -c oddcast_OggVorbis.cfg bio2jack_0_32083:out_0 bio2jack_0_32083:out_1
Use oddcastv3 -h for a usage.
Enhancements:
- Added support for oggFLAC streaming. A note about this, currently as the release of this plugin, there are very very few clients that actually support oggFLAC streaming.
- Installing those filters will allow you to play oggFLAC streams from within Windows Media Player. Currently Winamp and Foobar2k do NOT work.
- Hopefully this will change in the future. Also, streaming oggFLAC is really only good for LAN streaming as it is lossless and very high bitrate. There is currently no way to "configure" any oggFLAC options. Also, you need to use the latest Icecast (2.3.0) in order to support oggFLAC streaming.
