Exmh 2.7.2
exmh is an extensible user interface for the MH email system. more>>
examh is a user interface for the MH mail system. The interface is built in Tcl/Tk and is compatible with all Unix systems and wasnt ported to Windows.
MH and its flexibility are the primary reason I chose exmh, and is the primary reason I remain with exmh. More simply, I started out choosing MH and then went looking a front-end, starting with MH-E, and xmh. Why exmh rather than one of the other front ends? Exmh is as flexible and extensible as MH is, without also carrying or enforcing a particular model or mindset. There was and is no competition. I value flexibility and configurability far more than I do cute graphics or widget sets.

IRCD-Hybrid 7.2.3-ita.0.1.1
ircd-hybrid is a an Internet Relay Chat daemon. more>>
IRCD-Hybrid project is a an Internet Relay Chat daemon.
Version restrictions:
- If a module is modified before being unloaded, /MODUNLOAD (and therefore /MODRELOAD) may cause a core.
This problem is caused by the behaviour of the OS, which treats shared libraries differently to executables (modifying the ircd binary whilst it is running would also cause a core, but is denied by the OS).
There is no way to fix this at the application level, and fixing the OS to do the right thing is also difficult.
A workaround to avoid coring is possible however. To install new modules, first remove or rename the old module, then copy/move the new file into place. /MODUNLOAD will then work successfully.
Alternatively, running ./configure with the --disable-shared-modules argument will link all the commands statically, losing the advantages of upgrading at runtime, but reducing the chances of accidentally coring your server.
- Solaris stock 32bit stdio is limited to 256 fds. This breaks when using cryptlinks.
- New bug reported in some 64 bit and powerpc (yellowdog linux) code. This bug is actually in gcc itself, the spec says you dont modify a va_list in libc, but gcc does.
The bug manifests itself as immediately coring when anyone types anything on a channel.
You will find a quick work around in contrib until this bug in gcc is fixed.
Enhancements:
- Edited files:
- contrib:
- help/oper all directory
- help/user all directory
- m_mkpasswd.c [ita]
- setup-win32.h

- version.c

gpkcs 0.7.2
gpkcs11 provides support functions to make the development of support for new tokens. more>>
gpkcs11 provides support functions to make the development of support for new tokens easier and contains a complete software token, as well as an automated testing environment.
gpkcs serves as a testing tool in the development of new applications that contain cryptographic support.
A core of the functions have been implemented, but still need a lot of testing. The following features are lacking at this time (03/00), but will be implemented ASAP:
- propper SO/token reset support
- thread save
- multi session/multi app support
If you have need for another feature not yet implemented, give me a holler. Even though I will probably ask for your cooperation, I might bump it up on my feature list. But I consider this library only of use to the hardened crypto developer, therefore will assume that you are able to help further the development.
This code is now usable with the Netscape Communicator! I found out that it is due to a collision between symbols in the libcrypto and symbols within the Communicator. Therefore this release now does some magic to the OpenSSL code before compiling and linking it to the ceay token.

SLgtk 0.7.2
SLgtk package binds the GIMP Toolkit, also known as Gtk, to the S-Lang scripting language. more>>
SLgtk package binds the GIMP Toolkit, also known as Gtk, to the S-Lang scripting language. This application was created with the SLIRP code generator, and provides an importable module which makes most of Gtk and its constituent libraries callable directly from S-Lang scripts.
With SLgtk the S-Lang programmer now has access to a powerful, cross-platform widget set for creating sophisticated graphical user interfaces (GUIs). The package also includes bindings to GtkExtra, which are used in the vwhere visualization and filtering guilet, as well as a gdk-pixbuf loader for the FITS image file format widely used within astronomy, and an easy-to-use but powerful image compositing, display, and output tool.
Enhancements:
VWhere 1.3.9:
- When a vector is passed with the & operator VWhere will reflect the proper variable name in the Axis Expression window, instead of assigning the less-meaningful "arrayN".
imdisplay 0.3.4:
- new "panes" option added, to support display of multiple images using either horizontal or vertical tiling
- multiple animations may now be displayed, and even commingled alongside static images
- fill rule may now be specified in an option string, and now defaults to "scale" instead of "none"
- imdisplay_defaults() function added, for option persistence
- 1D images which can be reshaped to NxN are now accepted
changed S-Lang semantics of C Gdk function void gdk_window_get_frame_extents(GdkWindow, &GdkRectangle) to GdkRectantle gdk_window_get_frame_extents(GdkWindow)
- more sophisticated placement/reparenting strategies for win chaining
- rgbwidget version 0.3.0, which adds POW scaling and version info

tvmet 1.7.2
tvmet is a Vector and Matrix template library uses Meta Templates and Expression Templates to evaluate results at compile time. more>>
tvmet is a Vector and Matrix template library that uses Meta Templates and Expression Templates (ET) to evaluate results at compile time, thus making it fast for low-end systems.
Temporaries are avoided because of this. The produced code is similar to hand-coded code, but the quality of the code still depends on the compiler and its version. The dimensions for vectors and matrices are static and bounded at compile time using template arguments.
Main features:
- Matrices and Vectors with fixed sizes (of course), the data is stored in a static array.
- compile time dimension check for Vectors and Matrices to preserve the mathematical meaning.
- vector, matrix, matrix-matrix and matrix-vector fast operations:
- complete set of standard arithmetic operations for Vectors and Matrices (blitz++ supports this only for TinyVector).
- complete set of standard compare operations for Vectors and Matrices as well as ternary functions like a ? b : c (see eval for use).
- binary and unary operations.
- meta template use for Matrix-Matrix-Product $M,M$, Matrix-Transpose $M^T$ and Matrix-Vector-Product $M,x$ functions and operators.
- meta template for special functions like $M^T, x$, $M^T,M$, $M,M^T$ and $(M,M)^T$ functions, see ... special Meta-Template Functions.
- simple Matrix rows and column access as a Vector.
- chaining of matrix and vector expressions is possible and working.
- Vector inner and outer product (dot and cross product).
- special handling for the aliasing problem - see ... about aliasing.
- STL iterator interface. This opens the door to all sorts of great STL applications.
- type promotion (for handling Matrices and Vectors of differing types).
- works on self defined types such as the std::complex type.
- makes no use of exceptions. Therefore you can use it for embedded systems or in Linux kernel space.
- nice expression level printing for debugging purposes (print the expanded expression tree).
- good documentation with examples.
- regression tests for nearly all operations and functions.
- support for several compilers (see Compiler Support).
- written as a pure class and template library, no binary libraries and versioning are needed - designed to avoid code blot due to the use of templates.
- ISO/IEC 14882:1998 compliant.
