SpamProbe 1.4d

SpamProbe 1.4d

SpamProbe is a spam detection program that uses a Bayesian analysis of the frequencies of terms used in the email. more>>
SpamProbe operates on a different basis entirely. Instead of using pattern matching and a set of human generated rules SpamProbe relies on a Bayesian analysis of the frequency of words used in spam and non-spam emails received by an individual person.
The process is completely automatic and tailors itself to the kinds of emails that each person receives.
Main features:
- Spam detection using Bayesian analysis of terms contained in each email. Words used often in spams but not in good email tend to indicate that a message is spam. Generally over 90% effective at detecting spam once a few hundred spams have been classified.
- Automatically learns from incoming mails as they are classified. Incorporates users feedback to tailor classification to each users personal tastes.
- Works with procmail, maildrop, or a similar tool to produce a complete server or client side spam filtering system.
- Written in C++ for good performance. Database access using Peter Grafs PBL ISAM library or Berkeley DB for quick startup and fast term count retrieval.
- Recognition and decoding of MIME attachments in quoted-printable and base64 encoding. Automatically skips non-text attachments. MIME decoding enables SpamProbe to make decisions based on words in the emails rather than base64 gobbledigook.
- Counts two word phrases as well as single words for higher precision.
- Ignores HTML tags in emails for scoring purposes unless the -h command line option is used. Many spams use HTML and few humans do so HTML tends to become a powerful recognizer of spams. However in the authors opinion this also substantially increases the likelihood of false positives if someone does send a non-spam emai containing HTML tags. SpamProbe does pull urls from inside of html tags however since those tend to be spammer specific.
- Locks mboxes and databases using fcntl file locking to avoid problems when multiple emails arrive simultaneously.
- Scores only the Received, Subject, To, From, and Cc headers. All other headers are ignored to make it hard for spammers to hide non-spammy words in X- headers to fool the filter. The -H command line option can be used to override this.
- Supports Content-Length: field in mbox headers. This can be disabled using -Y option to use only From_ to recognize new messages.
- Uses MD5 hash of emails to recognize reclassification of an already classified spam to avoid distortion of the word counts if emails are reclassified. This way emails can be kept in an mbox that is repeatedly scanned by spamprobe without counting them more than once.
- Provides a date stamp based database cleanup command to remove terms from the database if their counts never rise above a certain threshold value (normally 2).
- Provides an edit-term command allowing users to directly modify the counts of individual terms. For example to force a particular term to be considered spammy or good.
Enhancements:
- Improved image processing by adding support for jpeg and png attachments.
- Fixed gcc 4.x compile issue.
- Added ability to selectively ignore headers using -H-name option.

Gnofract 4D 3.4

Gnofract 4D is a program which allows you to create beautiful mathematically-based images called fractals. more>>
Gnofract 4D is a program which allows you to create beautiful mathematically-based images called fractals.
What sets it apart from other fractal programs (and makes it "4D") is the way that it treats the Mandelbrot and Julia sets as different views of the same four-dimensional fractal object. This allows you to create images which are a cross between the two sets and explore their inter-relationships.
Main features:
Unlimited variety. Most fractal programs provide a fixed set of formulas. Gnofract 4Ds formula compiler allows you to use any function you can think of. It also supports most Fractint and UltraFractal formulas and coloring algorithms so you can use the many formulas written for those packages.
High quality output.24-bit color rendering, coloring methods for smooth gradients, antialiasing, and no fixed limit on output size.
Fast rendering.Since all formulas are compiled to machine code before being run, you get snappy calculations even on custom formulas. Also supports multiple processors.
Easy-to-use interface.Modern GTK-based interface with unlimited undo, simple interaction, and quick previews.
Find cool images quickly.Explorer Mode and AutoZoom help you find interesting parts of the fractal automatically.

iPuissance 4D 6.11

iPuissance 4D is a free (online) Connect 4 style video game: It can be played through the Internet against other real players, or locally against an artificial intelligence. The Connect Four grid is rendered in 3D. It is also possible to see the scores, time left, change the game rules, and even chat with others in the game or in chat room. You can play on-line and chat on the Beroux.com server for free and increase your rank in the high score. more>>

iPuissance 4D - iPuissance 4D is a free multiplayer (local/online) Connect 4 style video game.

The Connect Four game is played with red and yellow counters on a vertical grid of 6x7, closed at the bottom. In turns each player drops a counter of his colour in the column of his choice, until one of them makes a line of 4 counters of his colour, like in Morpion. Easy you think? But its not and if you dont like the classical game rules you can just change them in iPuissance 4D: 10x10 grid, 2 Per Turn, No Fill C...

The Connect 4 grid can be rendered in 3D (three dimensions). The game displays players scores, time left and supports different game rules. You can play locally against a friend without any internet connexion, or you can play online. You can also train yourself by playing against the computer (an artificial intelligence).

Come and play against other players on the net; you can connect to our Beroux.com server and play against some real players for free. The internet players gain points (for the ranking), they can chat together (before and during the game), and you dont even need to register to play on-line. A high score page displays the best players.

Magic Cube 4D 3.2.3

Magic Cube 4D 3.2.3

Magic Cube 4D is a four-dimensional Rubiks Cube. more>>
Magic Cube 4D project is a four-dimensional Rubiks Cube.

MagicCube4D is a fully functional four-dimensional analog of Rubiks cube. The image above shows the puzzle in its solved state. Click on it for a simple resizable applet version that you can interact with to get a feeling for how it works. Download the full-featured application below and try to solve it. Please read the FAQ for a more complete description of the puzzle. If the Java applet or application fail to start you may need to install a Java virtual machine. Click here for a current one.

Don Hatch and Melinda Green have developed it on and off over several years. Jay Berkenbilt has recently joined us to help with Linux support and source control. Don and Jay were the first to have solved the puzzle making extensive use of the move macro facility in the UNIX version. Roice Nelson became the first person to solve the puzzle without using macros. For his solution, he extended Philip Marshalls 3D "Ultimate Solution to Rubiks Cube".

You can learn Roices solution if you dont feel like trying to solve it yourself first. Using his techniques, Roice and others have continued to find ever shorter solutions so that the record currently recovered by Roice required only 334 twists! You can find documentation of these and other milestones on the MagicCube4D Hall Of Fame page. If you solve it with or without reading the solution, send us your log file and well list you in the MagicCube4D hall of fame too!

The mathematically inclined may be interested to know that the number of possible states for the 4D cube is exactly

(24!x32!)/2 x 16!/2 x 2^23 x (3!)^31 x 3 x(4!/2)^15 x 4

which can also be expressed as

32! 24! 16! 2^22 6^32 12^15

GLC_lib is free software released under GNU-GPL license.
Main features:
- Easy transformation with 4D matrix and 4D Vector.
- 3D primitive creation (Point, Circle, Box, Cylinder).
- OBJ file loading and display as a mesh.
- Light management (just one at this time).
- Object texturing (primitive and mesh).
- Background image support.
- OpenGL Perspective Viewport management. (Camera angle of view, Panning, Zooming, rotating, depth).
- Rotation sphere display when rotating view.
Enhancements:
- Old GLC_Mesh, GLC_ObjToMesh, GLC_Face, GLC_Vertex class are removed from the library. (Replaced by GLC_Mesh2).
- New GLC_Factory class. A factory to built the principals GLC_lib Object.
- New GLC_CollectionNode class. A node which simplify the GLC_Collection class.
- New GLC_BoundingBox Class. A Bounding Box created by single geometry or entire collection.
- New GLC_Viewport capabilies : Reframe to a Bounding Box and calculate view near and far clipping plane. (Z buffer optimisation).
- Add reframe and automatic depth of view calculation fonctionnalities to glcviewer.

LibVsg (Visaurin Geometric Library) is a 2D/3D software library with a focus on basic geometric manipulations.
Written for use by C programs, it provides support for single and double precision arithmetics. A Python wrapper also comes with the distribution.
- 2D/3D points/vectors.
- Quaternions (3D rotations presented in a 4D unit vector).
- 2D/3D affine transforms (3x3 and 4x4 matrices, respectively).
- Geometric containers, such as spatial filters: currently only Point/Region binary trees (both 2D and 3D).

THC-Snooze 0.0.7

THC-Snooze 0.0.7

THC-Snooze is a framework for network traffic analysis. more>>
THC-Snooze is a framework for network traffic analysis. THC-Snooze project can be used as a sniffer or a network based intrusion detection system.

It will watch the network traffic and invoke small programs ("modules" or "protocol dissectors"), which are easily written in a script language, to gather information from the data.

The possible applications for THCsnooze range from simple and advanced sniffing to passive network auditing. It is possible to write modules that will track a connection until a successful login occured. Or you can check if a client application establishes with a ssl enabled server (insecure) SSLv2 connections.

Getting Started:

So, let us imagine you want to write a module for snooze and you dont know the protocol. (I will illustrate these steps on a well known protocol so its maybe easier to understand why we are doing these steps).

First we need some sample data to analyze. We make a copy of the dump_tcp.lua file and change the first line to match our needs:

"-- :xxx_no_proto:1:tcp:" to "-- :xxx_no_proto:21:tcp:"

We start snoozed:

# snoozed -i en0 -M modules/ -b -c t0 -D 10
THCsnoozed-0.0.6 by THC
DEBUG: loading modules ...
...

After we got one or two connections sniffed and stored we quit snooze. Now, we can use hxdmp to view the logs (well, you can use your favourite text editor to do that):

$ ./hxdmp -c t0/127.0.0.1_31231_127.0.0.1_21_0001.complete
hxdmp - THCsnooze hexdump by THC
