op 1.32

op tool provides a flexible means for system administrators to grant access to certain root operations without having to give them full superuser privileges.
Different sets of users may access different operations, and the security-related aspects of each operation can be carefully controlled.
It was originally written around 1990 by Tom Christiansen and Dave Koblas. Further updates and porting were performed by Howard Owen. The last version of this vintage is available here. The current version is maintained by Alec Thomas.
I first came into contact with op whilst working at Access Gaming Systems, where op was used extensively to control developer and administrator access to resources.
Enhancements:
- rpl_malloc/rpl_realloc was added so that systems with dodgy implementations will link.
- This fixes compilation on HP-UX.
- If a help parameter does not exist, the actual command to be run for the help is used.
- Detection for openlog() returning void was added.

Minimax 20060326 Beta
Minimax is a Linux distribution which completely fit to an initrd image, because of this it can boot in every situation. more>>
Minimax is a Linux distribution which completely fit to an initrd image, because of this it can boot in every situation, which you can imagine.
It is ultra small (32 MB), but very power full. Minimax distribution contains 2.6 kernel with ALL modules and balanced set of console utils, no X server.
Main features:
- Very small, only 32 MB
- Very good hardware support, see kernel config.
- Fits to initrd, can boot on strange SCSI/SATA/USB disks
- Can be added to /boot partition very easy
- System runs from ramdisk
- Contains only console utils, no x server, see packages
- Modern architecture: kernel 2.6, udev with autosymlinks, module autoloading, based on Arch linux
- Based on uclibc and busybox
Some key software:
- Full 2.6.15 kernel with modules, with autodetection and udev. Takes about 60% of livecd size.
- Installer for Arch linux
- wifi drivers and utils: hostap,wlan-ng, madwifi, ndiswrapper...
- Grub as main bootloader
- Midnight Commander
- Links2 - text and graphic web browser
- FBI - an image viewer
- IRSSI - an irc client
- CenterICQ - an excelent client for icq,msn,jabber...
- Music on console - player with mp3,ogg and online streaming support
- Bash burn - an cd record console frontend
- Partimage - disk mirroring tool
Minimum requirements:
- 64 MB RAM (system needs 32 MB big ramdisk).
- An i386 or better processor.
- Hardware compatible with 2.6.15 kernel, for very old computers (486) is Damm small linux or Puppy linux better choice, becouse of 2.4 kernel
How was it made?
I take uclibc and busybox (software for embedded linux) and compile base system from scratch. I add initscripts from Arch linux, they are very easy to understand and modify. With some other software and modular kernel 2.6 I got system with about 70 MB. After compression with squashfs I got 30 MB big initrd image. Now it was easy to create an CD image.
Packages
minimax , bash, busybox, dhcpcd, e2fsprogs, filesystem, gpm, initscripts, kdm, kernel, libz, module-init-tools, ncurses, net-utils, sysvinit, uclibc, udev, utils, archsetup, snarf, rsync, vsftpd, dd_rescue, dd_rhelp, dosfstools, ext2resize, grub, jetcat, jfsutils, lilo, ntfsprogs, parted, partimage, reiserfsprogs, squashfs-tools, xfsprogs, bastet, enigma, fbi, libexif, libgif, libjpeg, libpng, links, libbz2, libc++, libcom_err, libexpat, libnet, libpcap, libpcre, libtool, *, alsa-lib, alsa-utils, bashburn, cdrdao, cdrtools, dvd+rw-tools, libao, libid3tag, libmad, libogg, libvorbis, moc, shfs, biew, centericq, glib, htop, irssi, mc, nano, ncurses, nstats, screen, dnstracer, iplog, iptables, libpcap, netcat, ngrep, nmap, openssh, openssl, tcpdump, autossh, bc, curl, file, hdparm, pciutils, ppp, pv, raidtools, tcptraceroute, wget, x86info, atmel-firmware, drivers_in_kernel, hostap-utils, ipw2100-firmware, ipw2200-firmware, linux-wlan-ng, linux-wlan-ng-firmware, linux-wlan-ng-utils, madwifi-tools, ndiswrapper, prism54-firmware, wireless-tools, zd1201-firmware, zd1211

DBG 2.11.32
DBG is a PHP debugger and profiler for PHP scripts. more>>
DBG is a a full-featured php debugger, an interactive tool that helps you debugging php scripts.
It works on a production and/or development WEB server and allows you debug your scripts locally or remotely, from an IDE or console.
Main features:
- native debugger. Works transparently, neither script nor PHP engine modifications required.
- server part (dbg module) runs on all platforms where PHP itself runs.
- works transparently across the global network as well as locally.
- JIT. When enabled can start debugging Just In Time of error occurs.
- supports back-tracking, e.g. displays a list of all procedures with their local variables, the current execution position reached from. Also you can watch local variables or function parameters in all active and nested scopes.
- certainly, you can execute script in the debugger step by step (step-in, step-out, step-over...), evaluate any valid php expressions or complex variables, modify values of any variables on the fly and create any new ones. Breakpoints can be conditional, they also may skip entered number of hits.
- has embedded profiler, so now its easy to find out a bottleneck in the scripts.
- allows multiple debugger processes running simultaneously.
- compatible with php-4.0.6 and higher.
- has open COM interfaces for integration with win32-based 3rd party IDEs.
- Commercial version of DBG (2.16.x) is available with commercial version of PHPEd PHP IDE only, see review for details.
- Linux, BSD, SunOs, MacOs and Win32 platoforms are supported.
- Free version (2.11.x) is available on this site. It works with PHP Edit, PHP Coder and some other IDEs.
- Free dbg front-end (dbg-cli) for Linux/Unix can be used to debug scripts either directly or under DDD 3.3.9 (GNU debugger). Also see RedHat 7.3, YellowDog and Mandrake distributions at RPM Find site.
Enhancements:
- All php versions from 4.0.6 up to 4.3.10 and from 5.0.0 up to 5.0.3 are supported.
- Support for HARDENED php v0.2.6 added (4.3.9h, 4.3.10h and 5.0.3h).
- Command line interface (dbg-cli) improved.
- Tested with php 4.0.6, 4.1.0-4.1.2, 4.2.0-4.2.3, 4.3.0-4.3.10, 5.0.0-5.0.3.

Arachne 0.32
Arachne project is a Perl-driven adventure and RPG game. more>>
Arachne project is a Perl-driven adventure and RPG game.
Arachne is a RPG game written on top of the Shadowed Horizons framework. It aims to make it possible for novice programmers to learn as they go, and for more experienced programmers to contribute their experience to a versatile and interesting gaming concept.
It is currently being managed by the Shadowed Horizons development team, but is seeking new developers to maintain the day to day development operations. We are looking for individuals who would like to create their own game using our libraries and utilities to serve as the application framework.
Because we are writing a framework that will allow novice programmers to write a game of their own, we strongly encourage anyone who has the desire to work on this project to contact us. Experts may be more comfortable and also of more help if they work on our Shadowed Horizons framework project, but anyone is welcome to begin working on Arachne, which will showcase the creativity that can be acchieved through our powerful but intuitive gaming engine.
This game is currently in its planning stages, but will be actively developed in the near future. The faster we gain assistance, the faster the project will become active. Nevertheless, we will eventually get it up and running, even without the addition of new developers, but that may take some time.
Enhancements:
- Arachne has now developed a saner version numbering scheme.
- Everything in Engine.pm was basically moved to Char.pm to improve organization.
- There are still lots of annoying warnings that Perl throws all the time.
- Ugly/stupid things were changed.
- Stupid and/or redundant stuff has been largely eliminated.
- The character stat screens have been fixed up and now look a little bit nicer.
- The code has been cleaned up a little but is still really kludgy

AsmIDE 0.9.32
AsmIDE is a collection of programs to help with assembler development. more>>
AsmIDE is a collection of programs to help with assembler development. Most of the programs can stand by themselves but a few work better if the complete package is installed. Basically, it is all the programs on this site collected into one package.
The AsmIDE package comes with a Makefile that can:
1. install all programs
2. uninstall all programs
3. compile all programs
4. clean directories, make releases, etc.
Because these programs are targeted for a specific cpu, they do not need to be compiled. Simply do a "make install" as root.
The main coordinating point for these programs is the AsmMgr utility. It interracts with all the programs and works as a general file manager. Most programs are small and fast, but they also try to present menus and a friendly interface when appropiate.

lvs-kiss is a daemon which enables you to create load balanced, high availability services.
lvs-kiss is designed to make loadbalancing with fail over simple. The primary design-goal is for you to get loadbalancing with fail over up and running within an hour or so. Setting up a load balancing web server cluster with failover is trivial - see the example config.
Secondary design goal is to be able to make this software as powerful and flexible as possible. Embedding of Perl in configuration files and load balancing based on custom made tests should be possible without to much hassle.
lvs-kiss is developed by Linpro AS and is released under the GNU Public License. lvs-kiss is hosted at Sourceforge.
