Ututo GNU/Linux is a CD-based Linux distribution developed by Diego Saravia at the Universidad Nacional de Salta in Argentina and based on Gentoo Linux. The project is named after a fidgety local lizard that pokes its nose into every hole and is never at rest.

UTUTO-e is a high performance desktop system based on Gentoo Linux (the "e" stands "escritorio", or "desktop" in Spanish) designed to be used by home/office users, developers, organisations and government users. Ututo is based exclusively on Free/Libre Software.

FIFE is a 2D RPG engine.

For the ones that have never heard about FIFE: this project is an open source engine that aims to be a platform for the creation of 2D RPGs. We do also provide support for the assets of the original Fallout games. So FIFE will be a good choice for the creation of Fallout-like & even non-Fallout-like games under all major platforms (Linux, Windows, Mac) with the emphasis on easy modding.

The development team emanated from the ianout project and is now working to bring you the best open source RPG engine with Fallout support. To do so, were still in need of dedicated developers that want to help us working on FIFE. sidux is a desktop-oriented distribution and live CD based on the unstable branch of Debian GNU/Linux. This project was originally created by a group of developers who split from the KANOTIX project and launched their own distribution.
Main features:
- After three months of development, we are proud to announce the immediate availability of sidux 2007-02 for amd64 and i686 systems, shipping in a 425 MB lite KDE and a 690 MB full KDE flavor. Our second official sidux release has concentrated on overhauling the early boot sequence and adapting to a wider variety of desktop environments and window managers. While this release only ships in two KDE flavors (lite and full) again, were looking for interested maintainers contributing to special purpose releases or tweaking support for other desktop environments and window managers.

- After less than three months of development, we are proud to announce the immediate availability of sidux 2007-03 Gaia for amd64 and i686 systems, shipping in a 440 MB lite KDE and a 700 MB full KDE flavors. Our third official sidux release concentrates on overhauling the SysV init sequence of the live CD, refactoring the installer backend, and laying the foundation for proper gettext localisations of our toolset, with additional efforts regarding general clean up and obsoleting the GTK+ 1.2 tools, while shipping kernel 2.6.22.3-rc1, using libata for most PATA chipsets, additional support for Intel IPW3945/4965, Realtek RTL8187 and RT2x00 wireless LAN devices has been added.

HBasic project is an integrated development environment used to create, execute and debug programs with an BASIC style language.

HBasic has object oriented features either in combination with precompiled C++ components (shared libraries) or class definitions (HBasic sourcecode). This also includes a version of inheritance.

HBasic runs on Linux and uses the Trolltech Qt library (>= 3.2). The syntax of the BASIC language and parts of the IDE are similar to existing BASIC IDEs to simplify using this new language.

jTagger is an powerful MP3 tag and filename editor. jTagger project can update filename and tags for individual files or in batch mode.

Its possible to test changes in batch mode before writing changes. Basic MP3 playback is supported.

jTagger is written in Java 1.5 (5.0) so it should work on all platforms as long the right java version is installed. The program has been tested on Windows XP SP2 and Linux (Suse 10.0).

Reading audio tracks with extended character encodings hasnt been tested. It is quite slow on reading and special on writing operations. And update time increases with file size.

Sahi is an automation and testing tool for web applications, with the facility to record and playback scripts.
Developed in java and javascript, this tool uses simple javascript to execute events on the browser.
Sahis features include, in-browser controls, text based scripts, ant support for playback of suites of tests, and multi threaded playback. Sahi supports HTTP and HTTPS.
Sahi runs as a proxy server and the browser needs to use the sahi server as its proxy. Sahi then injects javascript so that it can access elements in the webpage. This makes the tool independant of the website/ web application.

NimbleX distrbution is a small but versatile operating system which is able to boot mainly from a small 8 cm CD but also from flash memory like Mp3 players and USB pens.
Because it runs entirely from a CD or USB it doesnt require installation or even a hard drive. NimbleX is based on Slackware with the use of linux-live scripts and is has a lot of this distribution advantages.

Diagnotep is an affliction search engine to help diagnose medical problems. Diagnotep project works in the mozilla browser, it might not work properly in other browsers. This is version 2007.1. To run the entire engine on your machine for a faster search, unzip the health archive into a folder and then open the file "health_diagnotep.html" with a browser.

The program is under the GPL license which basically welcomes you to copy or modify this and allows anyone else to copy or modify your version if you make it public. The program searches among the symptoms of a medical database, so the results will only be medical afflictions. There are about 1,800 afflictions in the database, so no matter how deep the search depth and how many symptoms are entered, there will be at most about 1,800 results. The links from the results page point to affliction pages which are either public domain government pages or GNU Free Documentation License pages.

The greatest advantage of the diagnotep search engine is that it searches only medical affliction pages, so the results are not cluttered with pages which are not about health. Another advantage is that the program searches only the symptom part of the affliction pages, so the results are not cluttered with unrelated medical pages. The greatest disadvantage of diagnotep is that it searches a medical database which is large, but incomplete; it does not include all the medical pages on the internet. Another disadvantage is that diagnotep has a size of about 200 kilobytes and so takes about 30 seconds to load on a 56k dialup modem.

Diagnotep development is ongoing and in the future it is hoped that there will be expanded treatment sections for common afflictions, that more afflictions will be added to the medical database and that the 200 kB size of the diagnotep script will be reduced for faster loading.
