Unreal Tournament 2004 BONUS MEGAPACK contains many missions for Unreal Turnament 2004. more>>
Unreal Tournament 2004 BONUS MEGAPACK contains many missions for Unreal Turnament 2004.

This pack is our way of saying "Thanks" for purchasing UT2004. We hope you enjoy it!

This bonus pack includes everything you need to update UT2004 to the most current version, including the latest patch, and the content from the first (Editors Choice Edition) bonus pack for UT2004. You can install this bonus pack on any version of UT2004.

The MegaPack includes the following maps:

Assault:
AS-BP2-Acatana
Intense space fighting and on-foot combat combine in this recreation of the historic Skaarj invasion of the Acatana asteroid belt.

AS-BP2-Jumpship
Be part of the elite team that infiltrated and hijacked the first warp capable Jumpship.

AS-BP2-Outback
City slickers just took over the outback’s top brewery – get over there pronto and stop the production of their tasteless Zero Beer before it takes over Oz!

AS-BP2-SubRosa
Fight your way into a Liandri research facility and steal the original plans for the Redeemer.

AS-BP2-Thrust
A recreation of the infamous destruction of the Saturn IX rocket where a team of rebel fighters launched it unguided and half fueled into hostile waters.

CTF:
CTF-BP2-Concentrate
Tall spires tower over this Capture the Flag battle set on a derelict outpost deep in the Elorean Seas.

CTF-BP2-Pistola
This twin complex of concrete and metal combines the beauty of nature with the harsh lines of industrial architecture to create a fierce battle arena.

Deathmatch:
DM-BP2-Calandras
The courtyards of Calandras were once beautiful and welcoming. While the Temple’s interiors have been preserved, a new less-inviting use has been found for the exteriors.

DM-BP2-GoopGod
For centuries the Nali monks managed to keep this sacred burial ground hidden until Liandri satellites discovered the location during a routine satellite sweep. The area was mined, and what remained was converted into a tournament arena, corpses and all.

The content from the first bonuspack, also included, is:

Onslaught:
ONS-Adara
ONS-IslandHop
ONS-Tricky
ONS-Urban

Three new vehicles:

SPMA (Self Propelled Mobile Artillery)
The SPMA is a two person vehicle, with the driver controlling a long range artillery piece. Alt-fire deploys the spotter camera. Enemies will want to shoot down the spotter camera as soon as they see it, to keep the SPMA from raining destruction from afar. An AVRiL at the spotter camera will automatically re-direct toward the SPMA if it ever becomes visible to the AVRiL.

Paladin
The Paladin is a defense focused vehicle, with a powerful energy projectile cannon and a defensive shield alt-fire. Firing the cannon while the shield is deployed will heavily damage nearby players.

Cicada
The two-man Cicada ground attack bomber is a powerful weapon against ground targets, but is easy prey for Raptors. The pilot can fire missiles, or use the alt-fire to specify a target. While holding alt-fire, multiple missiles are loaded up, and released when alt-fire is released. These missiles will all track toward the specified target location, so the alt-fire can be used to avoid enemy fire while loading up missiles. The second seat in the Cicada is an energy beam turret located on the belly of the Cicada. Its alt-fire is chaff that can be used to confuse incoming AVRiLs.

Six new characters:

Mekkor (Skaarj)
Mekkor is from the Black Fist Clan, sworn enemies of the Iron Skull Clan. Severely injured in battle, he is testing his new cybernetic armor in the Tournament.

Skrilax (Skaarj)
Skrilax is from the Black Fist Clan, sworn enemies of the Iron Skull Clan. Alongside his brother Mekkor, he was severely injured while fighting the Iron Skull Clan."

Barktooth (Iron Guard)
Barktooth would rather rip an opponent to shreds with his bare hands than fight from afar. He also finds close range Flak shots very satisfying."

Karag (Iron Guard)
Before joining the Iron Guard, Karag honed his weapon handling skills during a long stint as a Marshall for the Terran Colonial Authority. His style and panache already have the the Tournament audience abuzz."

Kragoth (Necris)
After an absence of several years, the Necris are preparing a return to the Tournament. Known as the Star Slayer, Kragoth is a dread Necris Phayder assassin. He is rumored to have single handedly killed the entire crew of an ICV Star Cruiser."

Thannis (Necris)
After an absence of several years, the Necris are preparing a return to the Tournament. Thannis is participating to scout the competition."

Games::Tournament::RoundRobin 0.01

Games::Tournament::RoundRobin 0.01

Games::Tournament::RoundRobin is a Perl module for Round-Robin Tournament Schedule Pairings. more>>
Games::Tournament::RoundRobin is a Perl module for Round-Robin Tournament Schedule Pairings.

SYNOPSIS

$schedule = Games::Tournament::RoundRobin->new;

$pairings = $schedule->indexesInRound($roundm);
$round = $schedule->meeting($member1, [$member2, $member3]);
...

Every member of a league of 2n players can be paired with every other member in 2n-1 rounds.

If the league members are (Inf, 1 .. 2n-1), then in round i, i can be paired with Inf, and a can meet b, where a+b = 2i (mod 2n-1).

METHODS

new

Games::Tournament::RoundRobin->new( v => 5, league => [Ha, Be, He])
Games::Tournament::RoundRobin->new( league => {A => $a, B => $b, C => $c})
where v (optional) is the number of league members, and league (optional) is a list (or a hash) reference to the individual unique league members. One of v, or league (which takes precedence) is necessary, and if league is not given, the members are identified by the numbers 0 .. n-1.

If the league is a list (or hash) of n objects, they should be instances of a class that overloads both string quoting with a name method and arithmetical operations with an index method. The index method, called on the n objects in order, should return the n numbers, 0 .. n-1, and in that order if they are presented as an array. If they are presented as a hash, the hash is stored internally as an array and the keys are discarded.

If the league is a list of strings or numbers, indexes are constructed for the values on the basis of their positions in the list, and if a hash of strings or numbers, on the basis of the lexicographic order of their keys. Each string is expected to be unique.
If n is odd, an additional n-1, Bye or object (a Games::League::Member object, by default) member, depending on the type of the first member in the league, is added at the end and n is increased by 1.
indexesInRound

$schedule->indexesInRound($m)

Returns an array reference of the pairings in round $m. This method is useful if you are using numbers to represent your league members. It is not so useful if you are using strings or objects and you dont know their index numbers. Positions in the array represent members. The values represent their partners. Each member is thus represented twice.

roundsInTournament

$t = $schedule-> roundsInTournament;
$round1 = $t[0];
$inRound1FourthWith = $t->[0]->[3];
$inLastRoundLastWith = $$t[-1][-1];

Returns, as a reference to an array of arrays, the pairings in all rounds of the tournament. This method is useful if you are using the algorithm indexes.
partner

$schedule->partner($member, $m)

Returns the partner of $member in round $m.

membersInRound

$schedule->membersInRound($m)

Returns an hash reference of the pairings in round $m. This method is useful if you are using strings or objects. Keys in the hash represent league members. If the league members are objects, their names are used as keys. If 2 names are the same, the names are changed to $name.1, $name.2 etc. The values are their partners. Each player is thus represented twice.

memberSchedule

$schedule->memberSchedule($member)

Returns, as an array reference, the partners who $member is matched with in the order in which they meet, ie round by round.

meeting

$schedule->meeting($member,$partner)

Returns the rounds (TODO and the venue) at which $member meets $partner.

meetings

$schedule->meetings($member1,[$member2,$member3,...])

Returns, as an array reference, the rounds (TODO and the venue) at which $member1 meets $member2, $member3, ...

index

$schedule->index($member)

Returns $members index, the number which is used to pair it with other members. The index is the position, 0..n-1, of the $member in the league argument to the constructor (if an array) or the constructed array (if a hash.)
If $member is not a member of the array, or is itself an index, undef is returned.

member

$schedule->member($index)
$schedule->member($name)
$bye = $schedule->member( $schedule->size-1 )

Returns the member represented by $index, a number which ranges from 0..n-1, or by $name, a string. If there is no such member, undef is returned.

partners

$schedule->partners($index)
$schedule->partners($name)

Returns an array reference of all the partners of the $indexed or $named member, in index order, or the order in the league argument.

realPartners

$schedule->realPartners($index)

Returns an array reference of all the partners of the $indexed member, excluding the Bye member. Dont use this if you have no Bye member, as it just leaves off the last member.

size

$schedule->size

Returns the number of members in the round robin. Sometimes this may not be the same as the number of league members specified, because the array of league members takes precedence if supplied, and a bye is added if the number is odd.

rounds

$schedule->rounds

Returns the number of rounds in the round robin. This equals the number of league members, minus 1.

JTourney 1.0

JTourney 1.0

JTourney is a Java based tool to support tournament directors conducting small to medium scale round based tournaments. more>>
JTourney is a Java based tool to support tournament directors conducting small to medium scale round based tournaments for multiplayer games.
JTourney tries to encaspulate over 10 years of experience with various tournament formats for different games. Those tournaments were conducted either manually or with the help (of many kind people and) a predecessor programm, which finally became too old and too small.
The need for JTourney arose since the tournaments conducted were rather flexibile: Players could hop on and hop off between rounds, the games played might allow variable number of players. Beside this flexibility JTourney could of course be used to support more rigid tournament formats, but this is not its focus.
Main features:
- Keeping player lists.
- Playcing players on tables for next round by variuos strategies.
- Generate score sheets for tables.
- Keeping track of game scores
- Calculating player scores, tiebreakers and rankings
How it works?
JTourney is a very simple design. It merely parses text files into its memory and composes new ones on design. While parsing its internal datafiles it also feeds this internal information to the RenderMode, therefore it provides you with more beautiful information than just the raw internal text files.
Note the system never stores things like standings or total scores of players internally. It turned out, that parsing input is very fast and never is a real problem for (say) 100 participants and 12 rounds (this is not a limit, it can most likely handle much more participants and more rounds) on a recent PC.
While this architecture is from the computer stone age it is flexible and powerful. Maybe a bit volatile, but after all it is entirely appropriate to put whatever kind of GUI on top if necessary!

Games::Tournament::BlackJack::Player is a module to create your own entries to GTB Tournaments. more>>
Games::Tournament::BlackJack::Player is a module to create your own entries to GTB Tournaments.

The main purpose for this module is to allow users to develop new subclasses of Games::Tournament::BlackJack::Player for use in Games::Tournament::BlackJack tournaments. The Thousand-Oaks PerlMongers group will be organizing the official 2005 tournament that this codebase was originally written to support. The author felt it would be most appropriate to open the code running the tournament to reap the
usual litany of benefits.

All entries to this and future official tournaments must be submitted under a license approved under the Open Source Definition. ( http://www.opensource.org/docs/definition.php )

You can use this set of modules to:

=over 4
=item *

Develop and objectively evaluate BlackJack strategies.

=item *

Simulate a human player of varying memory facility (not yet implemented in 0.01)
=item *

There is further documentation in the modules themselves, and the discuss folder of the distribution. Start with C< Games::Tournament::BlackJack >.

This is an early version, much more documentation is planned, especially
on the user-developer side for tournament entrants.

Feedback, patches, etc.. are welcome (though I make no guarantees on
acceptance for patches.. or agreement for feedback.)

Tournament Pool and Bracket Tracker 0.5.0

Tournament Pool and Bracket Tracker 0.5.0

Tournament Pool and Bracket Tracker is a Java Servlet based generic game tournament pool bracket tracking application. more>>
Tournament Pool and Bracket Tracker is a Java Servlet based generic game tournament pool bracket tracking application suitable especially for the NCAA basketball championship tournament.
Features include bracket entering, multiple scoring systems, multiple users, groups, pools, etc.
Tournament Pool and Bracket Tracker contains everything you need to run a tournament pool.
It supports small groups or organizations who wish to provide an NCAA basketball tournament pool without a lot of administrative work in registering users or in calculating up-to-date results and possibilities.
Though it was built with the NCAA "March Madness" tournaments in mind, it should be able to handle other sport tournament pools that use straight forward brackets.
As an administrator, you will first log into the system like any other user. Any user can create a group and aministrate their own pool. A group is a set of players that play together in any number of pools.
Pool adminstrators can choose from many different scoring systems. Scoring systems can be set up dynamically in the database. When you set up a group, you have a choice. Either you can tell the users about the pool, and have them register, then notify you. You would then add the users to the group manually. This keeps membership totally within your control.
However, you can also create an invitation code. Youll then have an link to the system with that invitation code embedded. You can send this link to your users. When they click the link and login (with a possible detour through registration), they will be automatically added to your group.
They can then create their bracket and add it to a pool without your direct involvement. You do risk that the email gets circulated to others and people you dont intend to enter your group do.
Players can create as many brackets as they like, name them, leave them unfinished, come back to them later, etc. Players can add a bracket to a pool once the bracket is finished either from the bracket interface page or from the pool interface page.
Once a tournament is underway, users can keep track of their progress as the administrator for a tournament updates the results of games. Tournaments results are updated by the administrator with the same interface players use to enter their brackets.
Players are prevented from editing their brackets once it has been added to a pool that has a tournament underway. Tournament administrators can delegate the duty of keeping game results up to date to others if they arent going to be around for some of the games via a simple interface.
This allows players to come into the system regularly during the tournament and check their results and the standings much quicker than your typical spreadsheet based systems. If something is updated wrong, the players will keep you honest. The results show current, remaining, and maximum available points.
Any user can inspect the other players brackets in the pool. The brackets are presented with good picks in the green and bad picks in the red.
Version restrictions:
- Right now, all of the bracket, tournament, and teams setup is done via SQL scripts. I typically am working on the scripts the night they are announced. The priority list for the user interface work so far has been first to make the player experience nice, second to make the in-tournament administration nice, and only third to make the tournament setup nice. Hopefully by the time March 2006 rolls around this third area will be improved.
- At this point the bracket system wont handle highest seed meets lowest seed type of brackets. Unfortunately, this rules out using this system for the NFL Playoffs for the time being. Ive been working on this, but it is hard nut to crack.
Installation:
- Install MySQL and Tomcat
- Put the tournament.war file in the tomcat webapps folder.
- To get the database ready, run the following commands from the mysql.exe tool in the following order:
. [path]configdb.sql
. [path]configncaa.sql
. [path]configncaa-teams.sql
. [path]configncaa-2004.sql (optional)
. [path]configacc.sql (optional)
. [path]configacc-2005.sql (optional)
. [path]configncaa-2005.sql
You need to grant privileges in mysql as well:
GRANT ALL PRIViLEGES ON *.* TO testuser@localhost
IDENTIFIED BY testpw WITH GRANT OPTION;
Make some tweaks to the [tomcat home]/conf/web.xml file. Uncomment the following:
< !-- The invoker servlet -->
< servlet>
< servlet-name>invoker
< servlet-class>
org.apache.catalina.servlets.InvokerServlet
< /servlet-class>
< init-param>
< param-name>debug
< param-value>0
< /init-param>
< load-on-startup>2
< /servlet>
and
< !-- The mapping for the invoker servlet -->
< servlet-mapping>
< servlet-name>invoker
< url-pattern>/servlet/*
< /servlet-mapping>
This enables the autoinvoker servlet, which maps from URLs to class names which happen to be J2EE servlet classes. Some people consider this a security risk, which is why it is disabled by default. Ive never had an issue so long as I know all of the servlet classes I have in the system. This can be changed. If you consider it an issue, let me know via a feature request.
- Start MySQL and Tomcat
- Go to http://localhost:8080/tournament/
Enhancements:
- This release adds many new options for the tournament pool administrator.
- You can do tie breakers, not show the players brackets to each other until the tournament starts, limit the number of brackets per player, and run a pool starting later in a tournament, such as starting at the Sweet 16.
- There is also a new interface for setting the start date and time of the tournament, sorting enhancements, the ability to edit pool settings, ranking the brackets of a running pool, and players may reset their passwords.

Games::Go::AGATourn 1.035

Games::Go::AGATourn 1.035

AGATourn is a Perl extensions to ease the pain of using AGA tournament data files. more>>
AGATourn is a Perl extensions to ease the pain of using AGA tournament data files.

SYNOPSIS

use Games::Go::AGATourn;
my $agaTourn = Games::Go::AGATourn->new (options);

An AGATourn object represents a round or several rounds of an American Go Association tournament. There are methods for parsing several type of AGA file format:

tdlist

The entire list of AGA members including playing strength, club affiliation, and some other stuff.

register.tde

The starting point for a tournament. All players in a tournament must be entered in the register.tde file.

round results: 1.tde, 2.tde, etc.

Game results for each round of the tournament.

A note on IDs: in general, hashes in an AGATourn object are keyed by the AGA ID. An AGA ID consists of a three letter country specifier (like USA or TMP for temporary IDs) concatenated to an integer. Here we specify the three letter country specifier as the country and the integer part as the agaNum. The country concatenated with the agaNum is the ID. My ID for example is USA2122. IDs should be normalized (capitalize the country part and remove preceding 0s from the agaNum part) with the NormalizeID method (below).

Note also that some programs may accept limited integers in the agaNum part of the ID. Accelerat, for example, seems to accept only up to 32K (someone used a signed short somewhere?)
