OCC 1.2.9

OCC 1.2.9

OCC is a PHP chess game. more>>
Online Chess Club (OCC) is a small PHP chess game.
Note: If you dont know what PHP is dont bother to download. This is only required to set up a chess server. Playing needs nothing more than a simple web browser.
OCC is not intended for massive use but rather for a small circle of friends of yours. While it is possible to play a quick game by hitting Refresh! frequently or using a chat tool to tell your friend whether you are finished, this is again not the intention of OCC. Other online chess games may fit this purpose better.
The idea of OCC is to run a number of games simultaneously against various friends and to check from time to time, like once a day, whether anyone has moved and if so to enter your move along with a comment.
Any number of simultaneous games is allowed. OCC stores the full move history of a game and automatically recognizes checkmate and stalemate. An option to draw a game is available (both sides have to agree) and when a game is finished it can either be archived or deleted. The moves itself are either submitted in the normal short chess notation or a full move notation. An in-game help explains the exact usage.
Further on, any game (no matter whether it is open or closed) can be re-viewed move by move or saved as PGN to analyse it with your favorite chess tool; for instance with Fritz.
A PHP-ready web server is required to set up a chess server while playing itself requires a browser.
Enhancements:
- This release features some minor enhancements.
- Most notably, the previous comment is saved to keep track of a conversation.
- Besides, some typos were fixed and some descriptions were improved.
- Comments may not contain HTML tags and the dialogue for opening a new game has moved to a new section.

CFL 1.2.9

CFL 1.2.9

CFL is a C library of useful functions that simplify systems software development on System V UNIX. more>>
CFL is a C library of useful functions that simplify systems software development on System V UNIX.
The library includes routines for memory management, string parsing, filesystem traversal, subprocess execution, I/O, as well as implementations of common data structures such as linked lists, hash tables, stacks, and queues.
CFL library also includes a high-level interface to Berkeley sockets, and an implementation of a scheduler which has functionality very similar to that of the cron daemon.
This package may not compile with older versions of gcc. Version 3.3
or later is highly recommended.
Installation:
The simplest way to compile this package is:
1. `cd to the directory containing the packages source code and type `./configure to configure the package for your system. If youre using `csh on an old version of System V, you might need to type sh ./configure instead to prevent `csh from trying to execute `configure itself.
Running `configure takes awhile. While running, it prints some messages telling which features it is checking for.
2. Type `make to compile the package.
3. Optionally, type `make check to run any self-tests that come with the package.
4. Type `make install to install the programs and any data files and documentation.
5. You can remove the program binaries and object files from the source code directory by typing `make clean. To also remove the files that `configure created (so you can compile the package for a different kind of computer), type `make distclean. There is also a `make maintainer-clean target, but that is intended mainly for the packages developers. If you use it, you may have to get all sorts of other programs in order to regenerate files that came with the distribution.
Enhancements:
- Two bugs were fixed.

Zope 2.9.5

Zope 2.9.5

Zope is a Web application platform for dynamic Web sites. more>>
Zope is an open source web application server primarily written in the Python programming language. Zope features a transactional object database which can store not only content and custom data, but also dynamic HTML templates, scripts, a search engine, and relational database (RDBMS) connections and code.

It features a strong through-the-web development model, allowing you to update your web site from anywhere in the world. To allow for this, Zope also features a tightly integrated security model. Built around the concept of "safe delegation of control", Zopes security architecture also allows you to turn control over parts of a web site to other organizations or individuals.

The transactional model applies not only to Zopes object database, but to many relational database connectors as well, allowing for strong data integrity. This transaction model happens automatically, ensuring that all data is successfully stored in connected data sources by the time a response is returned to a web browser or other client.

There are numerous products (plug-in Zope components) available for download to extend the basic set of site building tools. These products include new content objects; relational database and other external data source connectors; advanced content management tools; and full applications for e-commerce, content and document management, or bug and issue tracking.

Zope includes its own HTTP, FTP, WebDAV, and XML-RPC serving capabilities, but can also be used with the Apache or other web servers.

Zope can help you create dynamic web applications such as portal and intranet sites quickly.
Zope comes with everything you need including support for membership, search, and news.

GTK+ 2.9.4

GTK+ 2.9.4

Gtk+ is a library for creating graphical user interfaces. more>>
GTK+ is a multi-platform toolkit for creating graphical user interfaces. Offering a complete set of widgets, GTK+ is suitable for projects ranging from small one-off projects to complete application suites.

GTK+ is free software and part of the GNU Project. However, the licensing terms for GTK+, the GNU LGPL, allow it to be used by all developers, including those developing proprietary software, without any license fees or royalties.

GTK+ is based on three libraries developed by the GTK+ team:

- GLib is the low-level core library that forms the basis of GTK+ and GNOME. It provides data structure handling for C, portability wrappers, and interfaces for such runtime functionality as an event loop, threads, dynamic loading, and an object system.
- Pango is a library for layout and rendering of text, with an emphasis on internationalization. It forms the core of text and font handling for GTK+-2.0.
- The ATK library provides a set of interfaces for accessibility. By supporting the ATK interfaces, an application or toolkit can be used with such tools as screen readers, magnifiers, and alternative input devices.

GTK+ has been designed from the ground up to support a range of languages, not only C/C++. Using GTK+ from languages such as Perl and Python (especially in combination with the Glade GUI builder) provides an effective method of rapid application development.

PyGTK 2.9.5

PyGTK 2.9.5

PyGTK is a set of Python bindings for the GTK widget set. more>>
PyGTK provides a convenient wrapper for the GTK+ library for use in Python programs, taking care of many of the boring details such as managing memory and type casting. When combined with PyORBit and gnome-python, it can be used to write full featured Gnome applications.

GTK+ is a GUI toolkit for developing graphical applications that run on POSIX systems such as Linux, Windows and MacOS X (provided that an X server for MacOS X has been installed). GTK+ provides a comprehensive set of widgets, and supports Unicode and bidirectional text. It links into the Gnome Accessibility Framework through the ATK library.

Python is an interpreted, interactive, object-oriented programming language. It is often compared to Tcl, Perl, Scheme or Java. Python combines remarkable power with very clear syntax. It has modules, classes, exceptions, very high level dynamic data types, and dynamic typing.

The current version of PyGTK requires GTK+ >= 2.0 and Python >= 2.2 to build.

Like the GTK+ library itself PyGTK is licensed under the GNU LGPL, so is suitable for use in both free software and proprietary applications. It is already in use in many applications ranging from small single purpose scripts up to large full features applications.
