deal project is a calculator to compute card-draw probabilities for games such as poker or Magic.
This program is a calculator for card-draw probabilities. Specifically, it computes non-replacement draw probabilities using the hypergeometric function. It can also be used to compute binomial coefficients and the gamma function.
Suppose I have M special cards in my deck and N total cards in my deck, and I draw k cards from that deck without replacement. Let X count the number of special cards contained in those k drawn cards.

b64 is a very small and simple library that provides Base-64 encoding and decoding, according to RFC-1113, in C and C++.

XdTV is a software that allows you to watch TV. It interacts with AleVT for Teletext and Nxtvepg for NextView.

It uses the video4linux API. XdTV can use deinterlacing filters and record video files with the ffmpeg, divx, and xvid codecs.

t-prot (TOFU Protection) is a filter which improves the readability of email messages and Usenet posts by hiding some of their annoying parts.
The annoyances it handles include mailing list footers, signatures, TOFU, sequences of blank lines, and repeated punctuation.
TOFU is an acronym that stands for "Text oben, Fullquote unten", a German reference to the practice of adding just a few lines of original text and quoting a complete message below them.

PAIP (pipe) is a universal filter application. It uses plugins to transmit and convert data. They can be nested, so the inner structures can become quite complex (non-linear). The command-line interface is similar to a programming language and very easy.
You will need:

1) ./configure
Enter the destination path on prompt.
Just pressing will set the default path /usr/local.

Sawdog (Simple Active Watch-DOG) is a suite of scripts that informs the system operators of mission critical servers in the case of a failure.

A set of small executables (i.e. expect scripts) are executed, and if one executable fails, it sends an email or an SMS to the sysop. There are 3 states known to sawdog: alive, unknown, and dead. Only certain state transitions trigger a notification.

On a Web interface, the states of all hosts are visible. So far, there are scripts to check for DNS, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, ICMP, IMAP, MS SQL, MySQL, Notes, NTP, POP3, PostgreSQL, SMB, SMTP, SNMP, SSH, telnet, TWS, VNM, and Webmin.

KiFi is a wireless networking manager for the K Desktop Environment. It allows you to view the status of all wireless cards installed on your system that implement the Linux Wireless Extensions interface (most cards today), including currently associated SSID and signal strength.
With KiFi you can also view available networks in your area by using its scanning capabilities. Development is currently very active, with our two major goals being the ability to store favorite networks and their settings, and being able to reconfigure a card to a new network without having to remove and reinsert the card or restart your general networking subsystem.
NOTE: You must have Wireless Tools 27pre26 installed in order for KiFi to compile. A link to Wireless Tools 27 pre 26 is provided on the left. Its a very small, but important package.

Dlume is handy and easy to use addressbook.

Dlume is nice, Gtk 2-based address book. You can easily add, edit, and delete records from an XML database. A Quick-search makes it easy to find entries, and exporting to CSV and HTML formats is also possible.
