Tomato Firmware is a small, lean, simple replacement firmware for Linksys WRT54G/GL/GS and Buffalo WHR-G54S/WHR-HP-G54 routers.

It features a new easy to use GUI, a new bandwidth usage monitor, more advanced QOS and access restrictions, enables new wireless features such as WDS and wireless client modes.

It raises the limits on maximum connections for P2P, allows you to run your custom scripts or telnet/ssh in and do all sorts of things like re-program the SES/AOSS button, adds wireless site survey to see your wifi neighbors, and more.

firmware-tools is an architecture that utilizes native Linux packaging formats (.rpm and .deb) and native Linux change management frameworks (yum, apt, etc) for delivering and installing system firmware. firmware-tools architecture is OS distribution, hardware vendor, device, and change management system agnostic.
The architecture is easy as PIE: splitting Payload, Inventory, and Executable components into separate packages, using package format Requires/Provides language to handle dependencies at a package installation level, and using matching Requires/Provides language to handle runtime dependency resolution and installation ordering.
The framework then provides unifying applications such as inventory_firmware and apply_updates that handle runtime ordering of inventory, execution, and conflict resolution/ notification for all of the plug-ins. These are the commands a system administrator runs. Once all of the separate payload, inventory, and execution packages are in package manager format, and are put into package manager repositories, then standard tools can retreive, install, and execute them:

Enhancements:

cdpr is used to decode a Cisco Disovery Protocol (CDP) packet, by default it will report the device ID, the IP Address (of the device), and the port number that the machine is connected to. Optionally it will decode the entire CDP packet.
This version provides the ability to include a timeout so that you can put cdpr
into startup scripts and not have it hang if for some reason a CDP packet is never
received (i.e. CDP is disabled, machine is plugged into a hub, etc.) The following command line option has been added to complete the program:
-t timeout: Specify a timeout (in seconds) to wait for a CDP packet.
Please note that the default time between CDP packets is 60 seconds so you should
set your timeout to something greater than 60. There is a default timeout of 5 minutes
so that should you not provide a timeout, cdpr will still exit if there is no CDP packet received within 5 minutes.
This version also allows you to specify the server and URL to send CDP updates to on
the command line. The following command line options have been added:
-s server: Server to send information to requires -p (overridden by -u)
-p path: Path of server script to send data to requires -s (overridden by -u)
As you can see if you specify -s, -p and -u on the command line, the config file is ctually
used, and the -s and -p options are ignored. Both the -s and -p options must be specified and cdpr will exit if only one of them is given. An example as to how to use the -s and -p flags:
cdpr -d eth0 -s localhost -p /cgi-bin/cdprs.cgi -t 120
This will listen for a CDP announcement on device eth0 for up to 2 minutes (120 seconds) and send the results to the webserver running on the local machine by calling the /cgi-bin/cdprs.cgi page.
Enhancements:
- Fixed server port parsing logic when no port is specified.

Adime project is a library for constructing Allegro GUI dialogs in a way similar to scanf(), using a format string.
Other features include a (customizable) 3d look and feel, 3d versions of some of Allegros GUI procs, complete help in many formats (HTML, txt, chm, texinfo, man, devhelp, and RTF), and four example programs.
Adime can currently be compiled on Linux, Windows/MinGW32, Windows/Borland C++, Windows/MSVC, DOS/DJGPP, DOS/Watcom, Apple MacOS X, and QNX.
Main features:

- Number input, supporting double, float and signed or unsigned char, short and int. Thanks to the expression evaluator for Egg (written by Shawn Hargreaves), it has a built-in calculator so that the user can enter mathematical expressions.
- Selection of a filename, using (a 3d version of) Allegros file selector.
- Boolean input, using a checkbox.
- Selection of a string from a list box.
- A new dialog recursively opened when the user clicks a button.
- Highly customizable look, using global variables for the fonts, colors and measurements of the dialogs.
- The kernel is flexible enough to allow you to register your own format strings at runtime.
- 3d versions of the following Allegro gui functions: file_select(), d_edit_proc(), d_list_proc(), d_button_proc(), d_check_proc() and d_text_list_proc(). Gui functions for edit boxes with mathematical expressions and a multi-line version of d_text_proc().
- The format string is carefully checked for any possible errors, thus minimizing the risk for you to make mistakes.
- Help compiles into txt, info, html, rtf, and chm formats.
- Four example programs.

New Multi-Currency Transaction Handling
- GnuCash no longer requires separate currency exchange accounts to handle multiple currency transfers. Transactions can be made directly between accounts denominated in different currencies.
Redesigned Menus
- The GnuCash menus have been redesigned to conform more with the new GNOME Human Interface Guidelines.

Web-FTP 1.5.x introduces Crytpo Card support, and also some support for connecting to MS ftp servers.

Crypto card support allows people to connect to ftp servers that use crypto card security. Lemme know if it works for you.

Web-FTP is a fully featured ftp client designed for secure file management when used in conjunction with an SSL enabled web server.

As a secondary function it can serve as an FTP client for users whos firewalls block FTP, since all communication is through the HTTP protocol.

Once you log in to Web-FTP it retains a session, which runs locally on your server, subsequent calls to the cgi (with the proper cookie) reconnect you to your session, therefore maintaining state.

Since everything passes through a cgi, if you put that CGI on a secure web-server you will have secure ftp (as long as the ftp is the same machine as the http server, or is behind a firewall).

Sylpheed is a GTK+ based, lightweight, and fast email client. Almost all commands are accessible with the keyboard.

Sylpheed also has many features such as multiple accounts, POP3/APOP support, thread display, and multipart MIME.

One of Sylpheeds future goals is to be fully internationalized. The messages are managed in the MH format, so youll be able to use it together with another mailer that uses the MH format.
