Plash 1.18
Plash is a Unix shell that lets you run Unix programs with access only to the files and directories they need to run. more>>
Plash is a replacement Unix shell which lets the user run Linux programs with access only to the files and directories that they need to run.
Plash project works by virtualizing the filesystem. Each process can have its own file namespace.
This implemented in two steps: Firstly, processes are run in a chroot() environment under different UIDs, so they cant access files using the normal Linux system calls and are isolated from each other. Secondly, in order to open files, a process makes requests to a server process via a socket; the server can send file descriptors across the socket in reply.
Plash dynamically links programs with a modified version of GNU libc so that they can do filesystem operations using this different mechanism.
No kernel modifications are required. Plash can run Linux binaries unmodified, provided they are dynamically linked with libc, which is almost always the case.
In most cases this does not affect performance because the most frequently called system calls, such as read() and write(), are not affected.
Enhancements:
- A security vulnerability relating to granting access to terminal was fixed.
- A package system for running programs from Debian packages in sandboxes was added.

Moagg 0.18
Moagg combines several game types of other genres like races, search & rescue, seek & destroy et cetera into a 2D gravity game. more>>
Moagg combines several game types of other genres like races, search & rescue, seek & destroy et cetera into a 2D gravity game.
You are pilot of a small space ship and have to navigate that ship through different levels. But beside the gravity that drags you down there are other obstacles like laser ports, magnets, black holes, cannons, rockets and grinders you have to master.
Main features:
- Fully playable singleplayer game
- Missions on different difficulty levels
- Mission-dependend highscores
- Lots of static and dynamic obstacles
- Full controls configuration
- Basic sound support
- Basic player configuration
- Basic ship configuration
- Qt based level editor
Enhancements:
- Magnets now can be activated, deactivated and toggled via a switch or via the appropriate events, like laser barriers. The tutorial level switches.xml was adapted to demonstrate this. (btrummer, 2005-04-17)
- Fuel platforms now can define a fuel_cost property, which means that refueling the ship is not free anymore. (btrummer, 2005-04-16)
- SAM batteries now can be destroyed by projectiles too (like turrets). (btrummer, 2005-03-12)
- Now every decoration object supports the hide-property and can be shown via the show-event during game flow. (btrummer, 2005-03-12)
- Added three new levels to mission1. (btrummer, 2005-03-01, thanks to Will Poulsen)
- Fixed a bug, where the initial position of a turret projectile was calculated wrong, thus causing immediate collisions with the turret. (btrummer, 2005-02-08, thanks to Stefan Hamacher for reporting)

RBBS 1.0.18
RBBS is a bulletin board system with Web interface. more>>
RBBS is a bulletin board system with Web interface. Users of RBBS can post and response to articles. As the principal purpose of RBBS is to be used as such communication system as BBS, it is useful for individual use and for one-to-many communication. The following are features of RBBS.
Accessibility
Articles is structured into chapters, paragraphs, and so on in the text with XML. The appearance of articles is defined with style sheet. Since document structure and presentation are separated, transmission of information corresponding to various needs in the Web environment is attained. Moreover, because Wiki-style format is supported, you can write and edit articles easily.
Floating Threads
When a response is attached to an article, the order of the article becomes the top of the page. Since articles to which responses are often attached are displayed in an exhibitionist manner, users can catch up popular topics easily. Moreover, because each response is only by one line, lighthearted communication like chat is taken.
Atom Syndication
In order for users to check new articles and responses easily, Atom feeds are delivered. Using a news reader supporting Atom, users can check some news site and RBBS at the same time.
RBBS is available on Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Mac OS X, and Windows (Cygwin). Other UNIX systems are also. As RBBS is implemented with the C language, no environment for running a scripting language is needed. RBBS is a free software licensed under the GNU General Public License.
Enhancements:
- User interface was enhanced.
- The format of the log file was modified.
- Release: 1.0.16

Zircon 1.18
Zircon is an X Window System interface to Internet Relay Chat. more>>
Zircon is an X Window System interface to Internet Relay Chat. The software is written in tcl/tk and uses the native network communications of tcl.
Suggestions for improvements to Zircon are welcome. I am particularly interested in making the system useful for those users in groups where JIPS and other national character sets are used.
Zircon has more features than you could possibly imagine and implements nearly everything that the irc II clients support as well as many other useful and interesting features.
Main features:
- There is no JIS support. This needs a kanjified tcl/tk and some changes to zircon. Someone in Japan used to provide support for this but seems no longer to do so. Tcl 8.1 has proper unicode support included so this problem will go away soon.
- Character escaping in the low level CTCP protocol is not done everywhere, but it *is* done for SED encrypted messages
- You cannot configure anything other than Channels using the configuration panel. If you wish to configure Message channels then you have to do them by hand in the rc file. One day I will completely redo the configuration system....
- The Sketch Pad facility is (still!!) not completely finished. (and will probably move out into the plugin system when I get that done)
- The Clear button does not clear the screen. This is a tcl/tk problem and I cannot do anything (useful) to solve it. If you Shift-click on the button then the screen and the history are cleared, this does work

ttyrpld 2.18
ttyrpld is a Kernel-based keylogger and screenlogger for Linux. more>>
ttyrpld is a Kernel-based keylogger and screenlogger for Linux, FreeBSD and OpenBSD, and includes a real-time, tail-following log analyzer.
ttyrpld supports most tty types, including vc, bsd and unix98-style ptys (xterm/ssh), serial, isdn, etc.
Being implemented within the Kernel makes it unavoidable for the default user. Another benefit is that it runs with no overhead if the user-space logging daemon is not active.
ttyrpld consists of four components:
kpatch: The Kernel patch adds a few lines to provide the rpldev extension hooks, which (any) module can then get onto. The system was not directly written for black-hats who want to leave as little traces as possible, keep in mind.
rpldev: The Kernel module is responsible for grabbing the data off the tty line and providing a character device for the user-space logging daemon. Data grabbed of the tty is directly passed to the overlying daemons, so with the correct terminal settings you can get a 1:1 replay.
For systems where module loading is not possible (OpenBSD for example), these two components are integrated into the kpatch.
rpld: Having received the captured data, the logging daemon can store them in any format and/or facility, with or without compression, just as it likes, for this happens in user-space and thus you have all the fluffy libraries available. (That would not be the case from Kernel space.)
Enhancements:
- Fixed OpenBSD 3.9 kpatch
- Readded workaround for OpenBSD/NetBSD EINTR signal handling that got lost in 2.17
<<lessttyrpld supports most tty types, including vc, bsd and unix98-style ptys (xterm/ssh), serial, isdn, etc.
