SIOX stands for Simple Interactive Object Extraction and is a solution for extracting foreground from still images with little user interaction.
The underlying method is fast, noise robust, and can also be used for segmentation of videos. SIOX is free (GNU GPL) and is currently being integrated into the GIMP.
SIOX originates from E-Chalk where an instructor standing in front of an electronic chalkboard is segmentated.
Enhancements:
- Major code cleanups were done.
- A bug concerning multiple foreground object selection was fixed.
- Further documentation was added.

PySQLs project aim is to be a full (and much more) replacement for sqlplus. This projet start the 17th of august 2006. It is also a cool pretext for coding in Python. Some ideas behind PySQL:
- really usable and not painfull (history, completion, line edition...)
- high level function often used (search for tables, indexes, count, explain plan, list of sessions...)
- proper output for screen and file (csv ready for inclusion in spreadsheets)
- user defined macro ?

jMSN is an MSN client written in Perl for the Linux console.

It uses a BitchX-like interface, featuring multiple windows.

It is written in Perl, and is not based on any existing MSN code.

MMap is a GTK2 map viewer. MMap project supports Blue Marble, Land Sat 7, Watchizu, SRTM. You can show a part of World Wind data with OpenGL 3D graphics.

ffcall is a foreign function call libraries.

This is a collection of four libraries which can be used to build foreign function call interfaces in embedded interpreters.

The four packages are:

avcall

calling C functions with variable arguments

vacall

C functions accepting variable argument prototypes

trampoline

closures as first-class C functions

callback

closures with variable arguments as first-class C functions (a reentrant combination of vacall and trampoline)

GSMLIB is a library to access GSM mobile phones through GSM modems. Additionally, some simple command line programs are provided to use these functionalities.
The software works under Linux (tested with Redhat Linux 6.1 and 7.0) and Win32 (experimental, tested with Windows95 and Windows NT4.0).
Main features:
- modification of phonebooks stored in the mobile phone or on the SIM card
- reading and writing of SMS messages stored in the mobile phone

ucview is a video image capture application that uses the unicap toolkit. The project provides a simple way to parametrize the video device, can capture still images from the video stream, or record the stream as an MPEG file.
By using unicap, it can access many different video capture devices like webcams, video grabber boards, IEEE-1394 (FireWire) cameras, and others.
Enhancements:
- This version fixes several minor bugs and implements crash protection that disables unstable plugins.
- The default device state now gets properly stored and restored.
- Other minor user interface improvements were made.

iStream is an applet to play internet radio streams.

The project is a simple GNOME panel applet that lets you play internet radio streams (local files work too).

It uses Gstreamer for playback. Written in C using Gtk+.
